The Barn Door cottage took care of our three generation family well! The house was nicely appointed, warm, and clean. Being within walking distance of both downtown Lambertville as well as New Hope was a super bonus! Our host was extremely responsive to all questions.....and the check-in/check-out process was easy and straightforward. Our overall stay there was a positive experience!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We would love to host you again.
We rented this lovely cottage house in Lambertville for a nearby wedding weekend. It was perfect for five adults plus a dog. The house is charming, has a cute backyard, and is located within walking or easy driving distance to everything in the area. The entire home was lovingly decorated and well stocked, even with extra toothbrushes, which we had to use! The bed linens, pillows and bath towels were hotel quality and super comfortable. Would highly recommend for a visit to the Lambertville/New Hope/Stockton area.

Wonderful location within walking distance of both Lambertville center and across the bridge to New Hope, PA. Great communication prior to and during from gracious hosts who even decorated for our family Christmas week! Comfortable beds, nice living room to watch TV or just chat. Loved our stay!
Awesome Rental! I selected this property for a girl's getaway. The home is truly lovely. It is nicer than the listing depicts it. We found it very clean and very well appointed. Please do not hesitate to book this property.

Oh, WOW! We did not realize the group came from so many different states. We feel honored to have been able to host your group.
We were all so very impressed with this property. Such a beautiful home. A girls getaway. We each had our own bedroom and we appreciated that there was a bedroom on the main floor. We used the fire pit every night. Would stay again. Thank you!
Your home is the perfect place for a getaway. We enjoyed the private backyard with the grill, fire pit and table. Your home was beautiful, comfortable and clean! Thank you for being a phone call away with answers to our questions. We can't wait to come back again! - TS

Seetha, you and your group were truly great guests. We would have you back anytime and highly recommend you to other hosts. Please come see us again.
This is an exceptional property- you can tell that the owners put a lot of care and time into welcoming guests to their home. From the furnishings to the little store room of essentials (toothpaste, toiletries, etc.) this home is so inviting. No cheap, uncomfortable big box store furniture here! The owner was beyond accommodating and communicative. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect! There were 3 couples and plenty of room for all of us. So nice to stay in a house and not a hotel - easier to hang out with everyone and reminisce. It was nice to be able to walk into Lambertville and New Hope and explore the cute towns. Loved all the different restaurants to choose from. Took walks along the canal. We can’t thank Devon and Jim enough for sharing their beautiful house with us for the week!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Barn Door Cottage. Plenty of parking on the street, and close to everything in Lambertville and New Hope.
The house was so clean and comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything and were so kind to leave extras of small items in the pantry. We would absolutely recommend this property and will definitely stay again if we get the chance.

Lauren, thank you for such a lovely review. We sincerely appreciated having you and your family stay with us.
We loved our stay at the Barn Door Cottage! We surprised my husband for his 60th birthday and all the kids were able to celebrate together. The house is gorgeous with plenty of room for us all. We were especially excited to be able to bring our granddog. So close to town and all the sites, loved the fire pit and we made s’mores, check in was easy, lots of parking, and Devon and Jim kindly let us have a late check out. Perfect!
We loved this property. It has updated features in a rustic setting. Great showers, bathrooms and beds. Very clean and organized. Everything we needed. We were in town for a family wedding and enjoyed having time with our adult children who all live in different places. We had great downtime with them. Lovely home!

Quick and easy walk to the tow path that takes you into downtown area with shops and restaurants. Lovely patio with firepit and the beautiful house is perfect for gathering, eating and hanging out. We would highly recommend this house. The communication was thoughtful. The replies were quick. The extra touches were lovely.

Thank you for staying with us. It is wonderfu to have guests appreciate the house.
Stayed for a week over Thanksgiving. We had a great visit. The house was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen has everything you might need (and more). The three bedrooms are good size too. There isn't a driveway where we could park. But we had no problem parking on the street near the house. The house is close to the tow path (running, biking or walking) and near Lambertville. Communication with our hosts was great. I highly recommend staying at the house.
The Barn Cottage was perfect for our group of 7 college friends. We walked to dinner and shopping in both Lambertville and New Hope. The house had everything we needed and more. The use of space in the larger bedroom was great with the twin beds. The outside yard space with fire pit was very inviting but it rained the entire stay. Just be aware the stairs to get into the home are steep so if you have morality issues it may not be the vacation home for you. We had no issues with street parking. We had 5 cars.
Wonderful location for cycling on canal, great antique shops and top quality restaurants
This the best place we have found in Lambertville/ / New Hope area
- spacious , clean
- convenient layout
- I don’t think I’ve found a better stocked vbro kitchen ( rather embarrassed I asked host if they had basics in kitchen!)
- full credit to host for excellent restaurant recommendations
- walked or rode bikes everywhere
- dog friendly
- quality bedding
- my teenagers loved it - vintage clothes shops , great photography , freedom to roam
- we will definitely be back
Only downside . The house is on main road coming into Lambertville and police pulled over what I assume was a speeding motorist in
Middle of night . If you are used to more suburban quietness ( as we are) just pack some ear plugs
This will be our go to new hope/ Lambertville stay in the future

About the host
Hosted by DEVON REIMER
Jim and I have a passion for renovating homes and making them into comfortable and useful spaces. Homes want to be loved and we are forever trying to give love to our properties. We get great joy from watching the evolution of each of properties through time. I was raised on a farm and my family made a living with horses and dogs. My father was a racehorse trainer and my mother taught horseback riding while also breeding and showing dogs. My educational background is in mathematics and statistics and it has served me well in my career. Basically, I love animals, math and old homes!
Why they chose this property
We lived in this house for 7 years before moving to a farm nearby. We worked to make this a lovely place to stay and it is truly a lovely place to stay and enjoy with a group.
What makes this property unique
Private yard with a lovely patio and fire pit.
