Promised more than received

The building itself was fine but our experience was tarnished as we did not get what was shown. My wife is registered disabled and can not walk far. We picked this property as it has a lift and a swimming pool a few yards away. The swimming pool though was closed and the next nearest was up hill with forty steps and therefore my wife could not get to it. IF WE HAD BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS WE WOULD HAVE CANCELLED . On arriving we asked the question and was told they were not aware but obviously they should be, that is their responsibility to us !!! Instead of relaxing by a pool we had to drive to beaches and other pools away from the complex. I feel very let down and require compensation but am getting no response. We have not even got the accidental damage deposit back yet. We also had to buy wine glasses as there was only one on the premises. I don't complain generally and have had some great holidays with VRBO but this spoilt our relaxation immensely.

Steve, we are sorry for the inconvenience and understand that you are disappointed. However, there are 3 other pools in the complex that you could use. The owner tells us that they are no further away than the one that was under construction. He has nevertheless agreed to a rather generous compensation. We were attentive to your expectations and provided you with the information you requested quickly (directions to supermarkets and restaurants). As for the deposit, it was returned to you 15 days after your departure, according to our internal policy.

Vacances 2020

La maison est magnifique, l'aménagement, la vue, à proximité de la plage, le calme Il important de mettre dans l'annonce le règlement de la piscine concernant le nombre de personne par famille. Car quand ont loue une maison à 8 personnes et qu'on nous dit 5 personnes par famille à la piscine cela gâche tout !

Merci pour votre commentaire et votre réservation à Alcaidesa avec Zapholiday. :-) Nous somme navrés que les conditions très spéciales dûes au Coronavirus, vous aient empêché d'être plus de 5 personnes à la fois à la piscine. Ceci était à titre exceptionnel afin de laisser toutes les familles pouvoir se réunir au bord de l'eau tout en gardant les distances sociales de rigueur vu la situation sanitaire. La copropriété a fait son possible afin de vous laisser accéder cet été 2020 aux zones communes piscines etc et malheureusement, ces décisions ont été prises dans l'urgence des circonstances actuelles. Nous notons que le logement vous a plu et souhaitons vous accueillir à nouveau dès l'an prochain! Zapholiday
