This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is perfect for your family! The cabin features both a back deck and a front deck, both with views of the beach. You'll love spending time outside, enjoying the Gulf breezes and the sound of the waves. It's also an easy drive or short walk to the beach, via the convenient beach access road.

The house features a spacious living area, with a large plush sectional sofa and flat-screen TV. This opens to a well-appointed, modern kitchen (complete with Keurig coffee maker) and an island perfect for food preparation and dining. Or, enjoy outdoor dining on the covered deck instead!

With 1200 square feet, Byrd's Nest easily sleeps 8. The primary bedroom has a king size bed with an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has two double beds and a third bedroom is great for kids with one queen bed and one set of twin over twin bunk beds.

The large shaded area under the house features an outdoor shower to wash the sand away after a fantastic beach day. Byrd's Nest is the perfect family cabin!

Small dogs (under 35 pounds) allowed with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.
The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

Perfect for the price

We did a family/friends beach trip with a group of 10! The kids had a great time, the room set up was perfect for our family. For that big of a group we probably could have used an additional bathroom but the boys just used the outdoor shower! Location was amazing, easy to get to the beach walking or drive up access! Sure bringing your own sheets/towels can add to the packing but it wasn’t that big of a pain. For the price 10/10!

Spring break

We had a great stay. The location of the property is nice. It is a 5min walk to the beach. The house is nice and stocked with lots of plates and utensils. However the cleanliness of the house was not on point. There was dust all over the place. Ceiling fans , lights, lamps. The sofas smelled pretty musty and not clean at all. Also the living area and kitchen have no blinds or curtains so there's no privacy. Really sad cause it really is a great house and great location.

Spring Break

We lovedthe size and location of the place. The house needed a good cleaning all the fixtures and decor were incredibly dusty. The main light in the living room didn’t work (fan worked but the lightbulb must have been out) The bunk beds were very loud. The two kids had to sleep on the couch because they were so loud. The toaster didn’t work. It just felt like we were the first guest in a while. Hated that we had to pay for liens and then put them on the beds never had to do that before and we rent at least 3 times a year. The house was nicely decorated and had a great kitchen and master space. Overall we were happy.

Reviewer Comments: The beach house was nice and the neighbors on both sides were very welcoming however there was an elderly lady at 861 surfview and our balcony was facing her balcony that was very unfriendly and racist now get it even though it was topless weekend we rented the beachouse for an after graduation spot. This lady called us animals and stayed throwing up the F you sign, that was not the view I payed for and it’s pretty ridiculous for a woman of her age to be acting so childish, I get it your racist, good thing we are God fearing people because acts like that can cause a whole riot and end up with some people getting hurt. When I mentioned it checking out there was no reaction I mean at least let me think you will have a conversation with her, It put a damper on our whole weekend because everytime we got to the balcony there she was with the racist slurs mean mugging and throwing up the f you finger you can’t stop people from being prejudice but I pray for that Lady because some non God fearing people would have taken it another way, you pay all that money and can’t enjoy yourself and because of this my grandkids had to witness this type of racism and that’s not right we did nothing to no one we were just trying to enjoy our 2 seniors and do something nice for them I have pictures of the woman doing this it’s a shame but God don’t sleep snd Karma is real.

Beautiful, short walk to beach

A short 5-10 min walk to beach. We rode our golf carts mostly. Easy access to beach on the next road In front of house. Not a great beach view from the porch, not much of a ocean breeze, but you can see the ocean from the front porch. The house was cozy and clean. Needs a few more kitchen items, large spoons, can opener (it was broken an old style), cutting board would have been helpful. But mostly stocked well. The bed room doors lock, an our toddler locked his self in the bedroom alone, we used a pumpkin carving knife to unlock the door. The mosquitoes were horrible, will look like you have chickenpox if you don’t use bug spray. We also locked the keys in the truck. If that happens then call the tow truck man. He unlocks trucks In Crystal beach area. Really LOVED the 4pm check out time. Gave us a little extra beach time the day we left. An the 12pm check in time is a great feature. One of the main reasons we rented this house. The beach grocery store was stocked, but be careful with buying meat, pork an chicken, they were both ruined an we had to toss out, an it’s expensive. Recommend shopping before you get there. Lots of cute gift shopping stores, latitude ???? And the kite store was out favorites. If your looking for a mixed drink, the metal box (busta-lime) in-front of the donut place is the best. They mix the liquor in where as everywhere else sells you a frozen slush and you have to add your own liquor shots. The fairy to Galveston had extremely long waiting lines. Unless you just want to kill 3 hours or more in your vehicle, don’t go to Galveston. Crystal beach area has everything you need except no fast food places. But they offer a lot of dinning restaurants
