While we enjoyed our mini vacation, we struggled with the comfort of the Aspen cabin. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable. The pull-out bed was horrible we even tried to flip the mattress. There was NO Wi-Fi even though I called the office to ask what the Wi-Fi name was there was no available internet with that name. I called the office back and got no answer I left a message and still nothing, The TV was very limited in the shows that could be watched. The office was ridiculous. We shouldn't have to chase the owners to check in or out. One good thing was the nice warm shower. We will not be staying here in the future.
I booked this VRBO rental a couple of weeks ago, wanting to come out to support my girlfriend who was living out there for the time, and I was thoroughly disappointed with the service that we had received.
To begin, when we arrived at the cabin (from a 2 1/2 hour shuttle ride), there was no one to check us in. I was not even provided information via the VRBO owner with how to get into the rental until I reached out to them the day of. When asked how I would be able to check into the rental, they told me that someone would be at the desk until 5:00 PM. They told me this AFTER my allotted check-in time, and again, AFTER I had messaged them asking them for clarification on the process. Information was not provided on where to check in or what the exact process would look like, so I assumed to follow the address on VRBO, and we were dropped off nearly a mile away from the office. We had to walk the entire way there, to pick up our keys and check-in with staff. I did not find out there was even an office to go until I read the sign upon arriving, and called the number on the sign at the Wildwood Cabins. A horrible experience to begin with! When we picked up our keys, we were even given someone else's keys and weren't even told which cabin we would be staying in. We were completely clueless, and it seemed management was as well.
We were charged nearly $250 a night (with an additional $150-some cleaning charge) for a room that might have been the most dysfunctional cabin we've stayed in. The wifi didn't work, misc. cabinets wouldn't open, the TV wasn't operational/cooperative, among other things... (including the blinds in the bedroom not working... so there was no privacy from the outdoors/neighbors).... we had to put up our bedding on the wall to cover up the window each night (how ridiculous)!
We wanted a nice getaway that would be stress-free and worth our money, and we got neither of those things. This left us with a very bad taste in our mouths.
