About Rebekah Wilson
We (Dan and Rebekah) were raised in the Kansas flatlands, but we each vacationed in Colorado while growing up. We finally made the leap to the high country 6 years ago, and we have taken full advantage of this giant playground ever since our move. Dan and Rebekah currently live in Windsor, located in northeast Colorado. Dan works with the University of Colorado Health System, and Rebekah retired from employment with this health system two years ago. She currently enjoys her work with a number of civic organizations, as well as master gardening, welding, and other hobbies. Dan and Rebekah enjoy every aspect of this wonderful Colorado environment. They are avid fly-fishermen, hunters, hikers, and general outdoorsmen. The couple enjoys a sizable amount of time in the mountains. Dan completed his due-diligence in investigating options for a mountain home. We wanted a location that would appeal to all ages, all year round, and we wanted activities that involved mountains, water, wildlife, and a community atmosphere. After looking at dozens of options, we found that Grand Lake met all of our needs.
Rebekah Wilson purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Rebekah Wilson chose Grand Lake
We spend a sizable amount of time in the mountains. Dan completed his due-diligence in investigating options for a mountain home. We wanted a location that would appeal to all ages, all year round, and we wanted activities that involved mountains, water, wildlife, and a community. We have several children, and this location and property provides a central location for family members to walk or ride bikes to nearly every amenity within Grand Lake.
What makes this Cabin unique
One look at this rustic cabin would help anyone understand why we purchased this home. It is nestled within aspen trees in a peaceful neighborhood - and it is within walking distance of downtown, Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. This cabin has history - several Grand Lake locals have lived in this cabin over the past 80 years, including a previous Grand Lake mayor. It's knotty-pine interior and quaint fireplace looks like a Norman Rockwell painting. We purchased this cabin, as well as the cabin next door, as they belonged together in a 'Jack and Jill' cottage setting. Some of our family and friends have enjoyed using both cabins to have family gatherings.

Everything we needed
This place is a gem and Rebekah was an exceptional host.
The cabin is adorable, everything you are looking for when you want to unwind.
The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials to cook (pots, pans, etc...) and the place was exceptionally clean and inviting.
I could have stayed there forever.
I will definitely be back.
This is what makes our efforts worth it. I sure hope to hear from you again!
Great little cabin!!
So close to the RMNP and the town of Grand Lake (I mean like walking distance to both). Just perfect and Rebekah’s hospitality is unmatched!
Thanks so much for that helpful feedback. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay. Hope to hear from you again!
Quaint little cabin.
We enjoyed our stay
Wonderful! Hope we hear from you again.
We loved our stay at Rebekah' s cabin
It was warm and toasty when we arrived. Snow was falling, and the cabin size was just right for the two of us and our sweet Boxer girl. The kitchen had all the basics, and the location was perfect, close to Rocky Mountain National Park for our weekend of hiking. Downtown Grand Lake has many nice restaurants and shops. Perfect!
Many people don't realize how wonderful Grand Lake can be in the winter. Glad you enjoyed!
Pretty little thing
We enjoyed it— it’s a pretty, happy place.
Great property - cute town!
We had a really fun time visiting Grand Lake this past weekend. I've only been there a couple times this past summer but visiting in winter was equally as interesting! The snowmobiling and snowshoeing trails are lots of fun. The cabin had everything we needed and just a short walk to downtown. Thanks, Rebekah!
So glad you tried Grand Lake in the winter! Folks often don't realize how magical it can be in the winter. I'm also happy you enjoyed the cabin! Hope to hear from you again!
Grand Lake, Colorado, is a gorgeous village surrounded on three sides by mountains. Multiple lakes, including Grand Lake (largest natural lake in CO), Shadow Mountain Lake, and Lake Granby (second largest body of water in CO) are all sheltered among the mountains. This combination of mountains and lakes offers year-round entertainment for visitors. This 1940's cabin is nestled in a peaceful neighborhood in the midst of Grand Lake village. Visitors can enjoy nearly all Grand Lake amenities within walking distance! Horse-back riding, snowmobiling over the Continental Divide, fishing (including winter ice-fishing), shopping, swimming, boating, hiking, a fantastic repertory theatre, and good restaurants are all within blocks of this quaint cabin. A short drive or horseback ride allows hunters easy access to National Forest. Cross-country skiing on miles of groomed paths is located at the Nordic ski center, approximately 3 miles from the cabin. This same short drive provides access to beautiful scenic golfing in the warmer weather. Downhill skiers can enjoy the smaller, family-oriented amenities at Granby Ranch (15 miles), or a larger variety of downhill options at Winter Park (30 miles). A wonderful repertory theatre provides a variety of live shows nightly in the summertime. On a typical evening, enjoy a beverage while seated on a giant porch swing at the Grand Lake Lodge looking out at a stunning view of the mountains, lakes, and village, enjoy an evening of bowling and homemade pizza at Grand Lakes Bowling, or just enjoy the quiet solitude of this peaceful cabin in the village. Moose, deer, fox, bear, and other animals have wandered through this cabin's neighborhood, and a walk or drive into Rocky Mountain National Park at dusk will normally yield many elk and moose sightings.
