The Mahana Resort - If you are familiar with West Maui, you will already know The Mahana is truly a premier property with spectacular oceanfront views. Just steps to the sandy Kaanapali beach, you will be led on a two and one half mile stretch of incredible ocean beauty. This AAA 3-Diamond resort consists of twin towers containing 215 units on 5 acres. Designed with a sense of peace and privacy, you are close to championship golf courses, great restaurants and shopping.

Unit 815 is an 8th floor oceanfront one bedroom with a king-size bed in the bedroom and the living room has a queen sofa bed. You will enjoy having two bathrooms. The unit serves four guests very comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped including refrigerator with icemaker, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, blender and all kitchen utensils. Also included for your convenience is salt and pepper, spice rack, plastic wrap, foil, baggies, napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner (small starter bottle) and hair blow dryer. All linens are provided including extra bedding and towels. Also available for your use are beach towels and a cooler.

The unit has two flat screen televisions with remotes, one in the living room with a DVD player and the other in the bedroom. A stereo is provided in the living room with CD player and docking station. Central air conditioning, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board and extra hangers all make your stay more relaxing. The tiled lanai is spacious with patio table and four chairs. The unit is approximately 1056-sq. ft. and the interior is decorated in Hawaiian motif.

About Alicia

Ben & Evie Leland live on island, retired and enjoy giving back to their community. They are proud owners of 3 condos at The Mahana and a Kaanapali Vacation Home. They were both in construction for over 30 years, have 5 children and 13 grandchildren. One of their daughters, Alicia, is their booking agent while Ben manages the properties. Alicia lives in Seattle Washington and has 5 children. We love our small family run business, our properties are amazing, very well kept and we offer over the top customer service.

You will not find another condo as close to the beach as units at the Mahana, it really is a hidden oasis! Beautiful Condo with Ocean Views!

We have stayed at the Mahana many times because we love the location and quietness. The Mahana is a very well maintained facility and the staff is extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. This was our first time in unit 815 which is a beautiful condo with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai. The unit is clean, comfortable, and has everything that is needed to enjoy your vacation in paradise. The furniture, appliances, kitchen items, and linens are high quality and very much appreciated. We enjoyed having breakfast and watching sunsets from the lanai. We saw sea turtles, dolphins, rainbows, and surfers on days when the waves permitted. We loved going to sleep and waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach just a few feet soothing, taking walks along Kaanapali Beach, or just relaxing in the condo watching paddle boarders and boats.

Alicia is great to work with. She is very professional, friendly, and responds promptly. She even recommended an amazing officiant when we told her we planned to get married during our trip to Maui.

You will not regret your decision to stay here. We will definitely be back!

This is a dreamy place to stay for your Maui vacation. An endless view that give you endless hours of pleasure watching the ocean, sky and neighboring islands change, day and night. The unit is so comfortable and immaculately clean. Very thoughtful amenities including a comfy mattress topper, lots of fluffy white bath towels, a cozy couch for hanging out and stocked with lots of staples, which were much appreciated. We were impressed with the lovely Mahana grounds - so peaceful and well-maintained. We were 3 adults - 1 couple with a friend, and there was plenty of privacy for all because of the 2nd bath and the soothing ocean opera. We love this quiet beach, north of the busier part of Kanaapali. You have a beautiful ~1 mile of beach to walk, swim and snorkel, plus the beach walk if you prefer. Alicia was fantastic to work with - warm and professional. It was perfect, and the best experience we've had in our long VRBO history. If you want a priceless view that's very affordable by Maui-standards and a quiet, restorative place to be with the ones you love, book it now - but please not when we want to return ;).

Fantastic Unit and Views - Oceanfront is an understatement

My wife and I live in CA, are part owners of a condo on the Big Island, and know the delicate nature of attending to the varied clients that rent vacation units. It was obvious to me that the owners of Unit 815 have a superior customer care mission - and they meet it. The owners and Alicia were just fabulous at arranging and preparing the unit for our stay. The views from this unit (front room and master balcony) are just above the palm trees that line the property on the ocean side and offer unbelievable views of Molokai and Lanai - as well as spectacular sunsets. The setback for this unit/bldg to the ocean is approximately 30+ feet. So, when they say oceanfront, they mean it. Even if you have kids, this place will provide the romantic essence of Hawaii that you've always read about or seen in movies. I could not recommend this unit enough. If you keep the TV off, look out at the ocean and islands, and play Hawaiian music, you will think you're in heaven. The unit was quiet, clean, with well appointed furnishings, having more than sufficient kitchen appliances and utensils for any length of stay. By the way - did I mention the view. Even though I like the slower speed offered by the Big Island, over the last 35+ years, I have visited Maui occasionally (3 times in the last two years), and have stayed in condos and resorts in Kapalua, Kaanapali, Kihei and Wailea. Due to the location, cleanliness, affordability and management, Unit 815 at the Mahana is the best unit I have stayed on Maui and I would not even think of staying anywhere else on a Maui Island visit in the future.

Other stuff....

Golfers: 5 minute drive to the south - Kaanapali courses; 10 min drive to the north - Kapalua courses (Plantation - very fun)

Foodgoers: got to try Slappy Cakes (5 min walk) - table top grills for you to make pancakes at your table. Dukes is right next door at the Honua Kai

Beachgoers: you're at the top of North Kaanapali Beach - put on some sunscreen, grab a towel and walk a minute or two (use the cooler the owner provides)

Shoppers: You are about 10 minutes away from the shops at Kaanapali (Whalers Village) and spending all your spouses money.

You will love your stay no matter what your interests. Aloha

4-Stars without a stay It can be done.

This is my first (and only) review for a place I never actually stayed in, but for which I felt it was warranted to acknowledge the outstanding customer service that was given and which makes a lasting impression. I'll clarify...

From the outset, Alicia at Maui Condos Online was quick to respond in a warm and friendly manner to all of our inquiries regarding Unit 815 at The Mahana. She prepared all the paperwork as promised, and all balances due matched what was quoted. Alicia made the rental process smooth and (believe it or not) actually enjoyable.

Unfortunately, due to a mix-up in the way our booking was logged in their system, the carpets in the unit had just been cleaned on the day we arrived, and, as such, the unit was not ready (i.e soaking wet carpets, furniture stacked in the kitchen and bathrooms, etc.). As one could expect, my wife and I were not very happy, especially after our flight over from the mainland, and we let Alicia know our feelings in no uncertain terms.

And here is why I would recommend Maui Condos Online to any renters: it is because Alicia, and the owners , Ben and Evie Leland, did three things that demonstrate outstanding customer service far above the "typical" condo owner. 1. Alicia IMMEDIATELY acknowledged the scheduling error on their part (rather than try to explain it away). 2. She accepted full responsibility for the mistake and took our frustration and disappointment with grace. And 3) Ben Leland stepped up as well by correcting the problem right away. Rather than try to pawn us off to some other lesser unit, or another property, he corrected the problem by putting us in a better unit, for our entire stay, and at his expense.

Now, I ask you honestly, who does that nowadays? Theirs was a level of service I have only experienced a handful of times, and it did not go unnoticed. If you are considering renting a unit at The Mahana from the Lelands (Maui Condos Online), I would definitely recommend them as you won't be disappointed in their level of service and commitment to helping make your vacation go as smooth as possbie so that you can do what you are there to do...relax. When my wife and I get back to Maui, we will certainly consider renting from Maui Condos Online. Thank you, Alicia, Ben and Evie.

On a side note: We have stayed at The Mahana twice now, and on both ocassions we have had a terrific experience with the staff, faclities and property as a whole.

Great Stay

Wonderful condo! Amazing views during the day but even better at night with stars on a clear night. Clean and fully stocked. We took full advantage of the kitchen and washer/dryer. King bed is very comfortable, queen pullout is good for a sofa bed. Easy access to the beach. Loved the Times Supermarket practically across the street, wish I would have discovered Farmers Market Maui a little further down the road earlier in our trip... as a vegan it had a lot of things to offer that I didn't find elsewhere.

Awesome Views

Awesome views, very clean,owner easy to deal with. Be sure to have breakfast at Duke's - easy stroll down the boardwalk. You will love this condo -we did.
