Blue Diamond Mega Lodge – Large Retreat Near Heavenly Ski Resort
Welcome to the Blue Diamond Mega Lodge, a luxurious mountain retreat perched just half a mile from Heavenly Ski Resort's Stagecoach Lodge and conveniently located on the Heavenly shuttle line. Designed for unforgettable group getaways and corporate retreats (non-event based), this modern alpine estate offers sweeping views of the Carson Valley. It is just a 15-minute drive from Lake Tahoe's vibrant casinos, fine dining, and entertainment.

The Community Pool is under construction. They are redoing the whole pool and spa area. Construction will be completed in January 2026 with an entirely new pool and Spa.

Gorgeous property but stairs and more stairs

This is a gorgeous property. Lots of stairs and no elevator. The communications with the managers were excellent. The top condo was shut down due to a gas leak so we weren’t sure if we would have the entire building or we would be lacking the four bedrooms in that unit. They kept us well informed of the status and we finally did get to use the unit. Did I mention that there are an incredible number of stairs?

Julio is awesome!!

The place was really nice! The only confusing thing was that the property is separated into 2 units. Not a big deal but didn’t know until we got there. The kitchen is super full with pots, pans and serving ware. Had everything we needed for meals. Julio was great at communication, he checked in on us multiple times and responded very quickly when we had questions.

PROS: We were able to have everyone in the same house, which was great! Everyone had their privacy, and could congregate in the main living areas. The view was awesome! CONS: I was a little disappointed that the kitchen did not have any essentials like salt, pepper, spices, cooking spray. Some of the bedroom lamps were missing knob. The bottom floor was freezing - dual zone heating would really help. The house does need a little maintenance. Please note- sites like VRBO, AirBnB, Expedia, etc say that the house has an elevator- IT DOES NOT!! There are A LOT of stairs!

This house served its purpose for a large group!

We enjoyed the largeness of the house for our family reunion! Allowed all 32 of us to be in one place! Julio was very response anytime we reached out! However the upkeep of the house needs some work for the price you pay for your stay. Here is what we ran into. The upper AC unit we discovered was not working, technicians had to come during our stay. Multiple maintenance in the kitchen - multiple burners on the stoves were not working -one of the sinks had no hot water -2 hood the 4 dishwashers did not work Cosmetic items -damaged dry wall in walls and ceilings (Dents/large patches missing) -multiple bedroom/bathroom doors didn’t lock -Hot tub had cloudy water and didn’t look clean

We had a signed and fully paid contract months before our stay for 15 bedrooms and ll bathrooms for our party of 29. Three weeks before the stay, they cancelled the upper two floors removing all the luxury amenities, 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, two of them, master suites They took away a full commercial kitchen, a large hot tub, steam rooms and more....they did NOT provide us with an appropriate refund. They figured our the cost of the beds, claiming their are all equal and that none of the other amenities were figured in. The communication was horrible, they even sent out contradictory information the same day check in. The floors were very dirty and their were no cleaning products in the home which we rented for 5 nights. One of our family units cancelled, not enough bedrooms another family left after the first day, the place was just too crowded and rooms insufficient for our family. My husband was nearly completely blind when he accidently knocked the faucet knob was burned severely by the shower water. My granddaughter was also burned, same issue. During our stay we wrote them 15 times, no response. Had we booked the lower unit next year, same 5 days it would have been over 5 thousand less than what they charged us based on the refund. I DID NOT agree to this change in the rental, They just refunded an inadequate amount of . DO NOT TRUST THEM. I. Wish I had more space to write all the thigs that were wrong with the week because of the property. DO NOT RENT

Flooding in kitchen and dirty bathrooms

Upon arrival I went to one restroom and there was barely any toilet paper so I went to the bathroom across the hall on level 2 and that bathroom was not clean. There were two green jelly beans on the floor and when I got some TP to pick them up, the floor was filthy. I went back to the kitchen and got a paper towel and wet it and wiped down the floor that was full of hair and dirt. That shower also had hair on the wall and along the baseboard. The bathroom right at the base of the stairs on level two, also had some dirt on the floor (could feel it in my bare feet) and the towel bar was broken and if you hung more than one towel it came off the bracket. That tub/shower also didn't drain, I decided not to even use the shower then next day and wait till I got home because the water backed up so quickly as soon as you turned the shower on. I would think for the amount we paid for the unit that the basics of cleaning the bathrooms would be done – was surprised in the lack of cleanliness Then on the evening of June 11 South Lake Tahoe was experiencing a huge thunderstorm with heavy downpours. As our family was in the kitchen on the 4th floor water started pouring out of one of the canned lights above the stove and appliances. We immediately had to clear out our food and scramble to get pots and pans to catch the water. As we realized the water was coming faster than the pots could handle we used the garbage cans. The water then started to come out of the ceiling in other areas. We called the property manager and he arrived about 45 minutes later. It appeared that the problem was on the roof with a clogged drain. Needless to say our last evening family dinner was full of chaos and anxiety. Our family had to clean up the mess!! Really don't like to give negative reviews but there were some issues with this property that we would not expect given the marketing and rental cost. We had issues with the house from the beginning. There was a leak under one of the sinks in the upper unit kitchen. The door hardware on the upper unit on one of the entrances malfunctioned and we were unable to use that door to enter. Julio was responsive and switched out the door handle with the handle from the other door but that hardware malfunctioned as well within 24 hours. Fortunately, there was someone inside that could open the door from the inside. If we had all been out at the same time, we would not have been able to enter the unit without assistance. There were several members of our party that did not sleep well due to the mattresses being uncomfortable. The bed support structure in our room was broken. We had to move the mattress to reposition the support structure as several of the support posts had become detached. It appeared evident that the supporting structure was in significant disrepair. There is a piece of deck board on the walkway into the right side on the lower unit (right side front facing) sticking up and presenting a tripping hazard. In addition, the door handle on the refrigerator on the lower unit was loose and eventually detached from the bottom of the handle. It was also evident that the handle had been broken previously and repair attempted with some sort of metal adhesive (liquid solder or something similar). The faucet hardware in our bathroom was loose. It moved from side to side as it was not tightened appropriately. While we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, the house was not what we expected as a “Luxury” property. I do want to commend Julio for being responsive and prompt. I would suggest replacing the apparently inexpensive hardware on the doors and faucets with higher end hardware. Mattress upgrades and more structurally sound supports for the mattresses would be good as well.

Great house for large groups

Large group of men for a ski trip. Tremendous view. Everything you need for a trip. Only 1/4 mile from the stagecoach lift. Shuttles were easy to catch

Fantastic Place for a big gathering

This was a great place for our family gathering. We rented both units and it worked out great. I will admit that having to go between units was not the funnest, it worked out well to separate things a bit. It would also have been nice if there was a mudroom for both units, but a small thing to get over. We have rooms for everyone and the Refrigerator/Freezer space was perfect for the large gathering. The kitchen was spacious and the dining table was nice and long. The kids were entertained by the foosball table and pool table, and the teen/young adults monopolized the hot tubs.. both of them. I think I can say that everyone had a great time. Book early, it's worth it!!

Lake Tahoe Family Reunion

Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, so that was definitely a plus. We didn't realize that this property was actually 2 seperate units, so that was a surprise. Great that there were two kitchens, both with large refrigerators and two stoves and microwaves; nowhere to put groceries that don't need to be refrigerated. Maintenance issues with burners either not working, not being able to turn temp down and not being able to turn burner off. Dining seating was great. Thought the add was a bit deceptive as to size of common areas. Totally lacking in outdoor seating, despite having a large picnic table - the table and benches were worn and splintery. Could really use some comfortable seating on decks - having three low, beach style chairs was disappointing. Bathrooms were small with only 1/2 door on showers, so floors were constantly wet. No bath mats were provided. One family member had a dirty towel on day one. Stains on some comforters, dirty blankets in closet, holes in pillows and sheets. Walking into top unit, they've used carpet remnants instead of nice mats. Put some money into this property and it would be wonderful.

Grandmas Birthday

We surprised my grandma by all making the time for a family vacation in lake tahoe. It made her so happy that everyone started to cry even the baby seeing everyone else cry. it will for sure stay in all our memories forever. The property was just stunning the set up was great with all the bathrooms outside the rooms made it great for people to not have to enter the rooms just to access the restroom. The local manager suggested us a great kayak rental place and we had a fun time on the lake. The kitchen had plenty of supplies for the. nights we stayed in. We are repeated guest no doubt thank you for all your hospitality.

Fun times

The absolute best time in lake tahoe out of the 5 years traveling to the area. The last time was last summer, we have stayed at other properties managed by Luxevaca but this is a new one and we are very happy to stay here. The kids had lots of fun, plenty of views while be had a bbq. Definitely made some lasting memories we will be back in the winter for snowboarding. The lift pick up is just down the road makes it great!!

Large Tahoe Ski Lodge

This large home works well for group ski trips. While it is not walking distance to the lifts, we were able to leave a little before opening and got easy parking at Stagecoach lodge. The shuttle also has a stop nearby, but we never used it. The house was clean and in great shape. Julio, the local property manager, was very helpful. We would stay here again.

It was good just the fact that we didn't realize there was separate entrances for the top and bottom with door codes. You couldn't get to all the levels indoors which causes and issue bc we have so many children with us(18 kids). Other then that we loved the place and the views amazing!!

Beyond Words

We were celebrating the 65 year anniversary of my parents and it was just perfect. The fact that we were all on one location was the best part. The property was able to accommodate greatly for all of us. Grilling and spending time was my husbands favorite. The kids also had a blast.
