Weekend at the beach

Perfect getaway to Jekyll Island, good location, great amenities and cozy house. Would definitely stay again.

Not a rental for seniors

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I hate to say it but the first day we got to the rental I found the largest roach that I have ever seen. I killed it and dropped it off at Jekyll Realty. The steps to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow--not a good combination for seniors. The kitchen cabinets definitely need to be remodeled. With a little TLC, I think the unit would be very nice.

We had everything we needed and the only suggestion we would have is for an outside light at the drive as we were loading up our vehicle and loading bikes in the dark. Aside from that, this rental checks all the boxes for us and Jekyll Realty are just great to work with and make you feel very welcome.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The amount of space and the layout of this home makes for an excellent family rental. The location was convenient. The home is in need of updates at this time, specifically in the kitchen and bathrooms. Sinks and faucets, and there appeared to be a leak under kitchen sink. The old carpet did not feel clean and needs to be replaced. The glass sliding door is difficult to open and close. The dining and living areas were very comfortable with nice furniture and plenty of space.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in in rough shape. A little paint would go a long way. Mold issues had my allergies going crazy. Worn out sagging wobbly ceiling fans, rusty fridge, hose knob in front is broken and sharp. Spend a few bucks on the place and it would be a decent place.

Family Time

The Realty staff were very friendly, but did not mention that vital information to the wifi set up was listed on the front of the letter sized envelope which I did not notice because it was handed to me with the back open and keys w/fob ready to fall out. The property itself was cozy and had everything my daughter, grandson's and I needed. If you're looking for wiz bang modern amenities, this isn't the place. It's proximity to beach access was a direct 3 block walk. We rented a Red Bug Motors Electric Vehicle...it does have exterior outlets both in front and out back. It also has spigot with hoses in the front and back for rinsing off sand. The washer and dryer set up is out side the kitchen door. There are also beach items available for use. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely consider staying in this home again.

Really nice place to stay

I was a little concerned when I read some negative reviews. But I think some guests over exaggerated the problems. Yes, this is not a luxurious resort. But it's not being advertised and priced as such. Yes, you could say that furniture is "dated" but it gives it nice mid century charm. Unit was very clean. Has two AC units that worked very well. Kitchen is not stocked, which is also disclosed. Internet connection is excellent. Location is super quiet.

Reviewer Comments: The property management was responsive, the location was great but property was not clean. there were carpet food stains, the outdoor area was not well kept. The balcony was in bad condition. There was a musky smell in the property on arrival and had to Febreze the entire property. Since the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, we were overall okay with the property but we couldn't utilize the backyard and balcony because of how dirty and unkept it was. I wouldn't recommend the property as a first choice to my friends but because Anthony was so responsive, I might recommend it from customer service standpoint.

Affordable Quick Getaway

Pictures & listing are accurate. This is an older house, with older fixtures & outlets (2-prong), but has a lot of mid-century modern charm. Pros: It is very private & you can barely tell it is a duplex. Convenient location, with a very easy walk to the beach (with stairs). Beach was not full or busy (pay attention to the tide schedule b/c there isn’t beach at high tide). Pretty quiet house & quiet neighborhood with lots of deer. Furniture was comfortable, house was clean, & kitchen was well stocked. 3BR, 2.5 bath cheaper than much smaller hotels made this a perfect quick getaway. Very few cons for the price. Don’t expect 5 star, brand-new accommodations & you will be fine. Jekyll Realty remains top notch as far as having everything ready & being so helpful.

The house is in an excellent location, it’s walking distance to the beach, it was also very spacious, it could use some upgrades since it seems like an older house but other than that it was a great place to stay.

A good place to rehash the day. We had many days bicycling. The screens were not fitting well, and the floors and rugs were dirty. The patio door didn't open well.
