Beautiful, comfortable, PRIVATE garden unit of a 3 floor home located in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago. (only the garden unit is for rent). Perfect for extended stays. High ceilings, tile floor, nice western light, well furnished, oversized dual head showers, full kitchen with many cooking supplies, Wi-fi, couch for 5th guest, laundry room (private). Hosts live above. Back deck access (2nd level only) with table and chairs. Hot tub available for $50 first night.
Close to Lake Michigan with its beaches, trails, and beautiful views. CTA bus steps away, elevated train (1 mile west). Close to Univ of Chicago, IIT, Hyde Park, Sox Park (Guaranteed Rate Field), McCormick Place 10 mins by Uber. . Soldier Field (2.5 miles), Uber ride to Grant Park is 12 minutes.

Street parking is always available. Just watch for street cleaning signs wrapped around trees or posts.

Chicago!

We had a blast in Chicago, and loved staying somewhere cozy, out of the immediate city, and in a nice area. We felt safe, check in was simple, hosts communicated great. The bus stop is walking distance and takes you to the trains!

A great stay and very helpful/flexible hosts!

Our stay was great and the hosts were extremely flexible. The place is clean, has everything you might need, and conveniently located (with plenty of parking) around all the sights to see in Chicago. The hosts were incredibly helpful - just one example: our flight was at night well after our check-out time and they allowed us to keep our luggage their and pick up on the way to the aiport. 10/10 - would stay again!

Overall Good Experience

Property owners were nice and informative and the location was great too. The only thing we weren't super happy about was the cleanliness. There were clumps of dust that fell off of the ceiling fan onto the bed while we were sleeping, there was a used loofah in the shower, and the floor wasnt very clean. Stuff would stick to your bare feet when you walked aroind.

Good location...needs a deep clean

This spot is in a pretty great spot close to public transport, and felt safe. The suite is well appointed, but was quite dusty. Clean orgerwise, but lots of surface dust.

Great location

This property is located in a nice area with lots of free parking right out front. It is located 1 block from a CTA bus stop, which was very convenient and I felt safe walking it with my daughter. You can buy a daily bus pass for $5 and it was worth every cent to not have to deal with Chicago driving and parking. My only complaint is the cleanliness. The toilet was covered in hair and other items in the bathroom covered in dust and cobwebs. When looking under the beds just before we left to check for any left behind items, we found clothing from other people. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful.

Perfect Spot for a Comfortable Stay

Our stay was so relaxing from the moment we arrived it just felt comfortable! We used this as our getaway and recharging point while attending the Pampered Chef Conference at McCormick Place and the commute there was easy no stress and only took 7 min by car on the most backed up days. Also we didnt get a chance to try out the local restaurants in the area but there were several options all within minutes. If you are looking for a nice comfortable place to stay this is it! Skip those expensive hotels and enjoy the comfort of your own space here you couldn't ask for nicer Hosts

Great Stay!

This is place was exactly as listed and perfect for my partner and I! My partner and I road the L downtown daily. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the station, but passed a great coffee shop "Mudhouse" along the way which made the time pass quickly! I would definitely stay here again.

Good place to stay

The place was clean and had everything we needed. Owners were easy to get a hold if you have any issues. Location was good for what I needed. I had to be at the McCormick center for four days. The drive was literally 5 minutes. I did stay there on July 4th. The neighbors had fireworks going off very late into the night that kept us up. This was no fault of the owners. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Easy access to downtown

The space was clean and has easy access to downtown. It is a studio rental and is the bottom floor of a 3 level home. When people are in the main floor you can hear them in the studio, but for the most part the owners were on the upper floor. The communication with the owners was great and they were very responsive. Would recommend this rental as a home bat while exploring the city and using a car. Parking was easy and ample.

Great attention to detail

The hosts did a great job of making this a very enjoyable stay. They have considered details in the living space that make it feel like a home away from home, like a tissue box, kids’ games (which I appreciated even though my kids weren’t with me), etc. They were very responsive in communication but not intrusive in any way.

Great location for touring Chicago

We had a wonderful time staying here in Chicago. It’s about a five block walk to the Green Line where you can get pretty much anywhere in town. David was a wonderful host with lots of great recommendations. Very comfortable beds too!

Cozy, safe, apartment

My friend and I met in Chicago for a short vacation. This apartment felt safe, well lit, cozy. The beds were very comfortable, linens soft and pillows nice. The week was very cold in Chicago but the faux fireplace heater kept the space nicely warm. We bought a CTA pass to use the train/bus for the week. The bus stop was just a half block from the apartment and the green line train was .7 miles, which we walked every day to get downtown for the museums and plentiful public art. Felt safe walking.

AMAZING!!!

Highly recommend!!! The place is fabulous!! Shower is awesome!! Everything is neat and tidy!! The location is safe and down a very well lit road, good area. We’ve had to stay at the hospital and it’s less than 10 minutes away. I would even rent if going to the city. The owners have been wonderful as well and extremely accommodating!! Couldn’t be more thankful for this!!
