About this property

Thalia Haven: remote, wild, off the grid

Dramatic, elemental, wild Thalia Haven is set on a private 130-acre wooded peninsula surrounded by the crystal-blue waters of renowned Great Oyster Bay. Experience Tasmania's wild East Coast from a unique perspective. Five kilometers of coastline include your own exclusive golden sand beach. Accommodation is in four ancient stone bedrooms clustered around flowered courtyards on the ocean's edge. Thalia is a bold showcase of self-reliance: your water, electricity and warmth are drawn from its land, breezes, and sunshine. Rustic, yes. But fear not: all the comforts you will need to relax, enjoy and explore are at hand. When you book a holiday at Thalia, you have the whole house to yourselves. That includes our 130 acres – and our beach! We will send you details on how to find the house and key prior to your arrival, and we will be available to answer questions throughout your stay. Thalia is set in a wild, remote location on Tasmania's beautiful East Coast. You'll need a car. We're an easy drive from Tasmania's main airports. Thalia is self-catering, so now is your opportunity to cook some of our beautiful Tasmanian offerings! Our kitchen is fully equipped, with a cooking fireplace, steam injection oven, and four gas burners. We provide a pantry of basic supplies to make your shopping and cooking easier. Please help yourselves to flour, sugar, cereal, olive oil, vinegar, spices, and all manner of coffee and teas. Rosemary, parsley. thyme, chives, oregano and bay leaves grow outside the kitchen door. If you'd like, we will send you suggestions on where to find nice provisions for your stay.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
