Lovely Short Escape from Daily Routine

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peace & Plenty in Mid May25. It was very refreshing to escape from the day to day routine of life and enjoy something a bit more luxurious. The house was very well maintained and thoughtfully supplied with useful homewares and consumables for a stress free vacation.

Staying at Peace and Plenty is exactly what the accomodation name suggests.Really good place to relax and unwind. Views of the hazards, sunrise and sunsets are amazing and magical. Charmaine has kept the home immaculately clean. Its very homely and comfortable and any amenities you can think of are there. I would highly recommend the home.Its a shame we had to leave after 3 nights, would love to have stayed longer.

Stunning Property

Peace and Plenty is simply beautiful with the most spectacular views. I visited in Winter and I felt cosy and so warm. The pool is great, ready to pop into anytime. Amazing property and location

Property and location was spectacular, host was lovely and helpful. Greeted with a welcoming pack then explored the beautiful grounds and garden before enjoying the swim spa, it was disappointing that the spa was not up to temperature on the last day but I would certainly return and absolutely recommend this beautifully set out home that provides for everything you could want for.

Over the years, we have done lots of improvements in response to guest feedback. For future guest information, The pool water is automatically heated to 33 degrees between 9.00am to 6.00pm everyday. Therefore, before 9.00am the water temperature may be slightly below 30 degrees (this time of the year) until it's heated to maximum around lunchtime. The pool (4m x 2m, over 1 metre deep) has spas jets, but it's NOT and cannot be a hot spa according to the industry standards. All this information about the pool is detailed in the listing, check-in information and on the poolroom wall.

Holiday of a lifetime

This has to be the loveliest house to have a holiday. My husband and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary and my 67th birthday and from the moment we opened the front door we knew it would be magical. We stayed 4 nights and wished we could have stayed another 4. Charmaine thank you for making our stay in your lovely home amazing.

Perfect for 2 couples. Immediate beach access. Breathtaking views. Very well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Loved the on-site veggie garden and oyster farm a short distance away. Very hospitable host.

Excellent Stay

We had the pleasure of staying at Charmaine’s house in Dolphin Sands. Secluded, quiet and luxurious. The house is extremely well equiped and communication with Charmaine was excellent. Would highly recommend this property if you want peace and tranquility.

Most likely Swanseas best kept secret is Peace and Plenty located at Dolphin Sands. As a rating out of five I would give this venue a ten. Great house, pool and host. Great location with the house a very short walk to the beach. Want something special why not try this location.

Relax by the Ocean

Our family had a most wonderful and relaxing time at Peace and Plenty. Everything was fabulous (especially the sound of the waves) and Charmaine was a wonderful host. A beautiful piece of paradise in a stunning part of the world! Most highly recommended!

Peace and quiet.

We had the most amazing week at Peace and Plenty celebrating our wedding anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for a more quiet and relaxing location. The house is gorgeous with absolutely beautiful views. It was a great base from which to explore the region and come back to a restful location. We would definitely recommend it and would absolutely love to go back.

Luxury stay, footsteps to beach & gateway to Freycinet National park

Perfect location, just footsteps away from nine mile beach. The house was amazing, beds were extremely comfortable, well equipped with the latest appliances. Coming home for a relaxing spa whilst looking out over the the ocean was the perfect end to each day. We especially loved the green house and picking fresh fruit and vegetables.

Absolute bliss!

What a perfect stay! Solitude, comfort, cleanliness...solitude. Everyone in our group wished we were writing a novel! Majestic setting with all amenities one could hope for and more ( indoor pool, kimonos, garden). Local oyster shack fantastic for snacks and take away.

Peace & Plenty is exactly as we had hoped and more! Excellent outfitting of the kitchen for those of us who love to cook. Well appointed home throughout. The whole experience evoked peace and relaxation. It is easy to get lost in the views and we spent a great deal of time walking the beach.

Perfect in every way

Our second stay at this property. Peace & Plenty is a beautiful home among stunning natural surrounds. The space is gorgeous and beautifully appointed. Luxurious bedding and bespoke furniture along with the indoor swim spa create the perfect haven to relax and enjoy the stunning views of Tasmanian wilderness. Can’t wait for a third stay.

Lovely location. Great amenities.

Loved staying at Peace and Plenty. The pool was clean and we used it every day, at least once. The beds are very comfy and the kitchen is well equiped. A very short walk to a secluded beach and the weather was perfect during our visit A short drive to Swansea to get more supplies. A pity the promised eggs, bacon and Sourdough bread never materialised but it didnt spoil our little gettaway with the grandkids. Will definitely go again.

Thanks so much, Alice, for your lovely review. We try our best to be accurate about our listing. We had to stop the start-up fresh breakfast provisions earlier last year because our cleaner had no time to provide it as it was time consuming (we don't live locally). For some unexplained reason, this information wasn't updated on the listing site, therefore causing mis-communication. Apologies! We do provide a well stocked pantry of non-perishables including long-life milk, breakfast cereals, etc. We hope you will visit us again.

My husband Paul and I are lovers of art and design, which shows through in the stylish interiors that greet you on arrival. We live in Sydney. During one of our trips to Tasmania, we fell in love with the unspoiled beauty of Tasmania's East Coast and acquired Peace & Plenty in 2013. We share a love of Asian art and fabrics, and for anything well designed. At Peace & Plenty, we have tried to combine this with the spectacular beauty of Great Oyster Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula.

We love the peace and seclusion of Nine Mile Beach where Peace & Plenty is situated. The house is unique because of its secluded location, incomparable views, excellent orientation and design (warm in winter, cool in summer), simplicity infused with Scandinavian and Asian styles and offerings of warm hospitality.

The house is styled with Asian textiles and bespoke locally made furniture. Sleek interiors are complemented by panoramic views of Great Oyster Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula. We have decorated the house with love, care and attention to details to maximize comfort for guests and ourselves.

We love food. That is why we have a state-of-the-art kitchen to cater for our passion for cooking. We enjoy a good bottle of wine. That is why we provide a complimentary bottle of local wine (award winning) if you stay for three nights or more.

Good food needs fresh ingredients. That's why we have a local gardener tendering our organic garden to provide seasonal vegetables and fruit for guests.

A good night sleep is essential. That is why our beds are luxuriously comfortable and have won many compliments from our guests.

Good bathrooms are also essential for us. That is why we have renovated our two bathrooms with quality fixtures and designs to maximize guests' comfort and the breath-taking views.

A home away is not complete without a pool. That is why Peace & Plenty offers a heated pool all year round, housed in a purpose-built, air-conditioned room with views to Great Oyster Bay.

Peace & Plenty is more than a home away. It is a little paradise. Over the years, it has hosted wedding anniversaries, honeymoons, birthdays and quiet, romantic getaways.
