The Cedar House was perfect for a large crowd. We used this for a retreat team meeting The kitchen was well equipped. Not great for single people. Not good for marriage retreats. little to no cell service and no wifi We will definitely be back.

If you’re looking to have peace and quiet, this is the place! It was perfect for our family vacation. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay to get away from it all and spend time together!

It was a great place for me and my extended family to get together and catch up. We hung out at the cabin and cooked and played games. The views were beautiful and the property was amazing.

Mountain Retreat

Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. We were traveling with 17 people in our party. Five adults and 12 girls (5-17 years). The house was spacious and comfortable and included plenty of beds/room for everyone. If you are not used to driving on West Virginia mountains roads, I would definitely recommend arriving during daylight hours. The road up the mountain to the house is very narrow in places and it was a bit scary the first time at night. Lots of room in the kitchens for cooking and eating. Would stay here again.

Absolutely Great Experience

We were group of 6 families with 25 members and had an absolutely amazing time. Initially our friends were hesitating as it’s totally in woods and were not sure what to expect. But everyone had a blast. House was clean and had so many beds that everyone got to sleep in their own bed with clean blankets. Kitchen is well equipped. Backyard view is gorgeous with place to do campfire and grill. We spent so much time there. And a big backyard where we had family games. House had so many little trails and we walked

Host was not responsive to either email or text message prior to arrival. Basic supplies were not available upon check-in, but host did provide upon request. The property location should identify that last several miles are on a single lane road with multiple homes along it. The grill at the pond was significantly better than the one on the backdeck of the cabin. Highly recommend replacement of grill at the cabin. There is a private pond on the property, but the hike is not for everyone. It would be a great spot for a grill-out as there is a pavilion and picnic tables and a couple port a potties. A hiking trail map would be beneficial for those who like to hike. One trail just suddenly ended as the sun was setting so we had to turn around which resulted in getting back to the cabin in the dark. There is some maintenance that is needed to the cabin. Overall our stay was pleasant and very secluded which we like.

Rosedale rental

Enjoyed our stay at Rosedale. Great views, clean, comfortable and plenty of room for our group of 12 people. Everything was taken are of when we arrived and only took a few minutes for check in. Met Pat at the office and she was very helpful getting us taken care of quickly and she made sure that we knew she was always available for any questions or concerns we may have. Very considerate of her.Only drawback was that the pond was more remote than we had expected and the access road to it was very steep and long for some of our group.
