This stay for us was more about visiting near by family who recently moved to the area. The house was everything we needed. Beautifully maintained. Any questions our Host was quick to reply to. While there are things in the area we would have like to check out it was early in the season and they were not operating yet, but that will be our next visit. I would highly recommend this property. Plenty of space and very family friendly.
We stayed for a weekend getaway. The house is clean, well-equipped, and cozy. The deck provided beautiful views of the river and deer. We walked the Elk River Trail across just the street, visited the Bigfoot Museum, and enjoyed our Elk River Rail Explorer adventure. We would definitely stay here again

Older home but well kept with large bedrooms and bathrooms. 45 minutes away from Summersville Lake park.
We wanted a relaxing getaway for a long weekend and that's exactly what we got. The house is located right on the river and we spent our mornings and evenings on the deck enjoying the view. It is within an hour to New River Gorge National Park and several state parks. There is plenty of space to explore near the house with the Elk River Trail right across the road. The house is clean and well-equipped and the owners are very communicative. We would definitely stay here again if we are going to be in the area.

Stacey, thank you for staying with us. We are glad you had a great time exploring the national parks. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the deck and views. We hope to host you again soon.
Beautiful property, cleanliness and the warmth of this home is above the standard. My family "7" kids from 4-15 and my wife loved the stay! And when we come back to West Virginia this will be our go too. Communication is above par. We had rain Thursday evening and friday but the back porch was absolutely perfect for the rain we all sat out and just connected and unwound. Would recommend to anyone... And we already recommended to other family that live out of state.

Awesome! Thank you so much! We’re thrilled to hear that your family enjoyed your stay and that the home offered a cozy place to relax, even during the rain. It means a lot to us that it helped your family connect and unwind. We truly appreciate the recommendation to your out-of-state family as well. It is the highest compliment we could receive! We’d love to welcome you all back anytime you’re in West Virginia.
We had a great stay. House is old with wavy floors that creak and moan but we loved that. The first floor only has 1 bedroom and the stairs are very steep and slippery so be careful going up and down. Good thing we only went up to go to bed then the rest of our time was on the back deck or by the river. The boys loved running up and down the river trying to hook another big one. Too bad it was too cold to throw our inner tubes in and drift down stream. We would stay again.
