Villa Las Palmas Tropical Rental Beside The Ocean- WiFi - Water Tank - Porch

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,000 sq. ft.
Property type townhome
Minimum Stay 5 nights

About the property

Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Villa Las Palmas is located on the beaches of Playa Pelada right on the outskirts of Nosara. The next beach over is Guiones Beach known for its fantastic waves. Less than a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk to Guiones Beach. Which is considered 1 of the top 10 most consistent waves for surfing in the world.

The rental is on the 1st floor. Featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and can sleep up to 4. With its beautifully landscaped grounds, community pool right along the ocean. Enjoy the picturesque view from the covered patio and relax in the hammock while listening to the ocean and sounds of the wildlife.

I have a total of 3 ac units so you can relax in comfort or you can open the newly installed sliding windows and let the ocean breeze flow through. I have bars on the sliding windows to prevent the monkeys or other wildlife from getting in as well. The community also has guards there at night so you can relax in comfort and security. The community also has a laundry service available.

Villa Las Palmas is within walking distance to 4 restaurants, the market and a nearby fishing village. Explore the beaches, ride the waves or spend some time sightseeing. There are also rental places for kayaking, snorkeling, fishing and other outdoor activities for the adventurer. Nosara Retreat is only a few minutes away for Yogi’s and fans of spirituality and personal development.

It is convenient to walk to shopping and the other amenities. Since this is a small enclave, you will almost always have the whole secluded section of Playa Pelada to yourself. Walk down the beach to La Luna to enjoy a great mix of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. On the way to La Luna you will also see Olga's. La Luna and Olga’s are located at the south entrance of Playa Pelada and this is where the small fishing boats come in. If you walk down there early in the morning you can buy fish directly from the fishermen. Craving some great brick oven pizzas then you also have Il Peperoni right in Playa Pelada.

Another great bar and restaurant right there is El Chivo. (My personal favorite.) They have live music nights and fantastic Mexican food for great prices.

High-speed wireless internet included along with a 1 Smart TV, 1 regular TV w/ DVD players and collection of DVD's I leave there. You can use your own personal Netflix or other streaming account. Or bring your own DVD's along with you as well. But why watch a movie when you can enjoy all the sights and sounds of Playa Pelada?

The rental comes complete with all the necessary items to fully enjoy your stay. All kitchen appliances, smoothie maker, utensils, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, George Foreman grill, towels, linens, and trash bags.

This area of Costa Rica has water shut off from 3pm to 8am. To combat that I have installed a 750 gallon water tank so you have no worries and can thoroughly enjoy every hour of your stay.

I have a local English speaking administrator that can assist you with any of your needs along with periodically checking in to make sure all your needs are met.

Las Palmas is the perfect place to relax and rediscover living again.

There is a cleaning service for $50 if you have an extended stay and would like to have the rental cleaned out while you enjoy yourselves.

Checkout is noon and check-in at 3pm.

I provide enough toiletries for a few days. Renter will be responsible for providing their own supplies which can be purchased locally.

Don't want to rent a vehicle? Here's a tip. I would advise flying into Liberia and using either Gybsy Cab or Nosara Transport if you are not going to rent a vehicle. If not we do have a lot you can park the car in.

Taxi's are available from the airport.

I have a $150 refundable security deposit to cover damage or loss of keys since it is expensive just to get replacement keys made there.

My wife and I live in Pawley's Island, SC. I have been in the South all my life. Started surfing when I was a kid. Came down in 2000 to Nosara. I enjoyed the world class surf. I fell in love with the area and decided I wanted to own a property there. My wife and I visit a few times a year to walk the beach and enjoy the surf and local community. One of the best places I have ever visited.

DICK SMITH purchased this townhome in 2003

Why DICK SMITH chose Playa Pelada

My wife and I enjoy the warm weather and great waves. I like to surf and fish. There's a bat cave and turtle sanctuary all within the area. Nosara is a growing area that is loaded with a lot of different cultures from all over the world. My wife was raised in Europe and speaks fluent Spanish. However most people down there are fluent in multiple languages. We find the beach in front of our rental to be one of the most pristine beaches we've ever seen. Our community around us within the condo complex are all great people to hang out with.

What makes this townhome unique

The beaches are beautiful. The monkeys all love to hang out around the condos. There's some really neat Iguana's and other lizards. It literally is Pura Vida the Pure Life. Also the food is all organic grown or caught locally. Which is a huge plus in my book. You can even walk down to the fishing village and buy locally caught fish yourself. Another unique benefit is that their breads are as good as NY's. In the area is a large grocery store that has most the American things you might need during your stay.

Pure paradise!

Stop browsing and book this place! Dick's place in Nosara is incredible. Tucked away just outside of town (but still close enough), this place has it all. Great pool, 100 feet to a quiet beach with good surf, super secure, great condo without a condo feel, private, convenient.

We stayed here for a month with our two kids (7 and 10) and we couldn't get enough of the place. It's a great mix of long term and short term tenants / owners so it doesn't feel transient like a hotel and people really care about each other and the property.

There's lots to do close by (hikes, mountain biking, surfing, beach wandering, restaurants, monkeys overhead... what more could a person need?

Like i said, stop browsing and book this place...

Such a wonderful property, very helpful on site!

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed every aspect of our stay! The home is beautiful with very comfortable beds and furniture! The outdoor living space feels secluded and like part of the jungle surroundings. It was a very easy walk to the neighboring Playa Guinos beach, and Paleda itself provides more solitude! We were high-maintainace, as my wife lost our rental keys and keys to the property in the ocean. Oscar, the local caretaker, rushed keys to us and even offered a ride! The owner checked to see if we had everything we needed. We mentioned that an extra pot and spoons would be nice. They appeared on the patio within an hour! This was probably the best of our many VRBO experiences. We would stay here again and I recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful beach

  • 5 of 5

After five days in busy Tamarindo, Playa Pelada was just what we needed. Coffee on a beautiful, quiet beach that we had all to ourselves. Walks on the beach. The property is comfortable with everything you need and want. At first we thought it was a little out of the way but it was an easy drive to town and good restaurants, 10 Pies being our favorite. You won't regret booking here.

Fell in love with Costa Rica

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying here. Would do it again in a heart beat. It was very clean and well kept. If you needed anything it was just a phone call away. The mornings were perfect. Walk to the beach then after hanging on the beach and enjoying the salt water and the waves go for a dip in the pool. Great places to go eat or just hang out near by. Everyone was so happy and friendly. the owners were very accommodating. Just loved it ! It was hard to leave.

Great place and great location

  • 5 of 5

My son-in-law and I stayed here ten days for a surfing vacation. This is the second time I have stayed in the Playa Pelada/Guiones area -- I really like the rural nature of the area. The first time I rented a house but I enjoyed this place better. The location is is about a three minute walk to the beach at Playa Pelada and about a 15 minute walk to Playa Guiones where I surfed every day. The place is well kept and has nice furnishings and having a pool about 50 feet away was great. The complex was really quiet when we went, we saw just a few people and they were expats that live their full time. The landscaping is attractive (very tropical in nature) and maintained. I would not hesitate to stay at here again.
