About this property

Villa Las Palmas Tropical Rental - Beach Front - WiFi - Water Tank - Porch - AC

Freshly updated with sleeper sofa and washer and dryer so you no longer have to use the communal shared units!

Villa Las Palmas is located on the beaches of Playa Pelada right on the outskirts of Nosara. The next beach over is Guiones Beach known for its fantastic waves. Less than a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk to Guiones Beach. Which is considered 1 of the top 10 most consistent waves for surfing in the world.

The rental is on the 1st floor. Featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and can sleep up to 4. With its beautifully landscaped grounds, community pool right along the ocean. Enjoy the picturesque view from the covered patio and relax in the hammock while listening to the ocean and sounds of the wildlife.

I have a total of 3 ac units so you can relax in comfort or you can open the newly installed sliding windows and let the ocean breeze flow through. I have bars on the sliding windows to prevent the monkeys or other wildlife from getting in as well. The community also has guards there at night so you can relax in comfort and security. The community also has a laundry service available.

Villa Las Palmas is within walking distance to 4 restaurants, the market and a nearby fishing village. Explore the beaches, ride the waves or spend some time sightseeing. There are also rental places for kayaking, snorkeling, fishing and other outdoor activities for the adventurer. Nosara Retreat is only a few minutes away for Yogi’s and fans of spirituality and personal development.

It is convenient to walk to shopping and the other amenities. Since this is a small enclave, you will almost always have the whole secluded section of Playa Pelada to yourself. Walk down the beach to La Luna to enjoy a great mix of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. On the way to La Luna you will also see Olga's. La Luna and Olga’s are located at the south entrance of Playa Pelada and this is where the small fishing boats come in. If you walk down there early in the morning you can buy fish directly from the fishermen. Craving some great brick oven pizzas then you also have Il Peperoni right in Playa Pelada.

Another great bar and restaurant right there is El Chivo. (My personal favorite.) They have live music nights and fantastic Mexican food for great prices.
High-speed wireless internet included along with a 2 Smart TV's w/ DVD players and collection of DVD's I leave there. You can use your own personal Netflix or other streaming account. Or bring your own DVD's along with you as well. But why watch a movie when you can enjoy all the sights and sounds of Playa Pelada?

The rental comes complete with all the necessary items to fully enjoy your stay. All kitchen appliances, smoothie maker, utensils, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, George Foreman grill, towels, linens, and trash bags.

This area of Costa Rica has water shut off from 3pm to 8am. To combat that I have installed a 750 gallon water tank so you have no worries and can thoroughly enjoy every hour of your stay.

I have a local English speaking administrator that can assist you with any of your needs along with periodically checking in to make sure all your needs are met.
Las Palmas is the perfect place to relax and rediscover living again.

NOTES:
There is a cleaning service for $50 if you have an extended stay and would like to have the rental cleaned out while you enjoy yourselves.

Checkout is noon and check-in at 3pm.

I provide enough toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap for a few days. Renter will be responsible for providing any other supplies which can be purchased locally.

Don't want to rent a vehicle? Here's a tip. I would advise flying into Liberia and using either Gybsy Cab or Nosara Transport if you are not going to rent a vehicle. If not we do have a lot you can park the car in.

We also own VRBO# 2098412 which is right next door if more space is needed for larger groups.

We do charge a $59 non refundable insurance policy purchase but I can adjust it to a $500 security deposit if you would like to put the money down and be refunded back later after check out.

Nice Condo
The condo was nice and had everything we needed. The power went out almost daily. Grounds were well kept, and walk to the beach was 5 minutes. We enjoyed our stay except for the the power outages, which was a problem, especially at night as my husband uses a CPAP machine. Oscar, the property manager, is very responsive.

excellent location
Such a terrific location and very friendly people. We walked on the beach and swam in the ocean every morning. Best fish ceviche behind the lifeguard station!

Excellent Location!
The setting of the condo in the well-maintained jungle-garden complex with a lovely pool & direct access to the beach is ideal! La Luna, Sunrise Coffee, and El Chivo are all walkable, as is the little market. The condo also has everything you need to cook simple meals. It’s tidy, well-maintained, comfortable, and has excellent wardrobe closets for stashing away suitcases and clothes. The in-suite laundry is a bonus too! Tuk-tuks are reliable and easy to grab. We rented an ATV from iQuad for a few days. We also rented a 4x4 vehicle for a few days. (If you don’t have experience navigating rough roads, I can see why people avoid renting cars, but it’s totally manageable and offers more freedom to explore.) Super Nosara grocery has everything you could ever need. We’d rec venturing up to Coyol for dinner one night. The setting & view is worth the drive up the mountain. (We drove ourselves. Others told us taxis are roughly $120 for the trip.) We’d also rec Gypsy Cab Nosara for airport transfers. There was a snafu with our reservation, but they handled it super-fast and professionally. Overall, we loved the convenience, cleanliness and ease of the condo. And, of course, Playa Paleda is gorgeous! We’ll be back!

Birthday trip Sept 21 - 27 during Green Season
The property was nestled in bamboo trees just steps from the pool. From the pool, there was a short path through the forest to reach the ocean with beautiful white sand beach of Playa Paleda. We bought fresh fish off the fisherman boat near La Luna restaurant. The fisherman cleaned and filet the catch. We opted not to rent a car. We walked or took tuk tuks to get around. We ate at several of the local restaurants Rosie's, El Pepperoni and Garlic's. We prepared breakfast and dinner on other days at the condo. The house was absolutely beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a meal. No issues with water supply or usage. We would gladly return tomorrow if we could. Unfortunately, we did not see any sloths or monkeys, but did see and hear the birds. It rained the first two days for maybe 30 to 40 minutes at 2 30 in the afternoon. It was very sunny and dry the rest of the time. The roads are made of dirt with some rocks, so after it rains their very slippery. Make sure you stop on the way to the house to buy essentials. Our driver stopped at the mercado and a produce store. Must try the pineapple and mango. The bodega (corner/neighborhood store) is close by if you need additional items. But will cost more money. Everyone was friendly. I always felt safe. The sunsets were the best. Its very quiet and relaxing. It was just what i needed.

Don’t look for us
We loved the isolation, proximity to the beach and lack of tourists. The Villa was clean, very well kept and roomy. Better directions are warranted, but that’s part of the allure. As usual, EVERYONE, especially, “Pastor” were cordial and helpful. We would definitely return. Looking forward to next time. Pura vida!

My wife and I live in Pawley's Island, SC. I have been in the South all my life. Started surfing when I was a kid. Came down in 2000 to Nosara. I enjoyed the world class surf. I fell in love with the area and decided I wanted to own a property there. My wife and I visit a few times a year to walk the beach and enjoy the surf and local community. One of the best places I have ever visited.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I enjoy the warm weather and great waves. I like to surf and fish. There's a bat cave and turtle sanctuary all within the area. Nosara is a growing area that is loaded with a lot of different cultures from all over the world. My wife was raised in Europe and speaks fluent Spanish. However most people down there are fluent in multiple languages. We find the beach in front of our rental to be one of the most pristine beaches we've ever seen. Our community around us within the condo complex are all great people to hang out with.

What makes this property unique

The beaches are beautiful. The monkeys all love to hang out around the condos. There's some really neat Iguana's and other lizards. It literally is Pura Vida the Pure Life. Also the food is all organic grown or caught locally. Which is a huge plus in my book. You can even walk down to the fishing village and buy locally caught fish yourself. Another unique benefit is that their breads are as good as NY's. In the area is a large grocery store that has most the American things you might need during your stay.
