Casa Cristal de Mar (Sea Glass House) was designed for our frequent visits, with every convenience available for us and now for YOU.

Surf, walk and play on the beautiful miles long beach, just a short two minute walk from the house.

This house is set up for pure relaxation. Hang out in one of the hammocks while reading that book you have been meaning to finish or start up a game of ping pong. Grab a refreshment and chill in the Rancho as you watch the monkeys in the trees above you.

Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, air conditioning and private entrance off of the patio with total privacy. Perfect for four couples or two families.

If you have to bring your work with you or just stay in touch with family and friends, stay connected with the fastest speed WiFi available in the area.

Very private. Gorgeous gardens. Fully surrounded, private property.

Wonderful property management team, who speak fluent English and can help assist you with everything you’ll need for the perfect vacation - starting with transportation to/from the airport or vehicle rentals while in town, setting up excursions, booking surfing lessons, making reservations, hiring a masseuse or chef, obtaining groceries and so much more!

We loved our stay! The kitchen was well stocked, the location is great within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach.The owner and the management company were very responsive. We would definitely stay here again .

This house has a great location. It is about a four minute walk to the Best beach and right by a surf shop and several nice cafés. The house was clean. There were lots of pool towels, bathroom towels, and beach towel, towels, and we really like the pool. The kitchen was also well equipped for cooking although we didn't do much cooking.. three of the bedrooms were very nice with spacious bathrooms and lots of hot waterOne of the bedrooms was small, cramped, musty, and pruned bugs. That was the designated kids room with the bunk room and a double bed but if four couples were going and all needed separate adult type rooms, I'd hate to be the person who drew that straw.

Just WOW! Amazing time in Nosara at Casa Crystal de Mar. The property was clean, spacious and spot on with the pictures you see on VRBO. As stated in previous reviews, Property Managers went over and above to accommodate our group of 10. They had all the essentials of groceries on site upon our arrival (arrived at dinnertime) we were able to prepare dinner and wake up to coffee and breakfast. We rented two golf carts from Limo Dan's in town (a short walk away) which made getting around effortless! We rented surf boards from Selva Surf School and our 9 and 6 year olds took surf lessons. Horseback riding from the house along the beach at sunset was amazing! In house massages were arranged and all agreed one of the best massages ever received. We walked to La Ventanita several times for morning coffee/breakfast/lunch/drinks, great food and vibe... Thank you Donnelle for opening your property to our family... memories to last a lifetime!

The best stay in Costa Rica

The property was so peefect for us. We travelled with 3 adults 4 older teens and a 10 yesr old. It was clean, the kitchen was better appointed than all ove the vrbos/aibnb weve ever been in. It's a real working kitchen. There was plenty of wildlife visits. It is super close to beach and shops but far enough away to be out of the bustle. I would stay there long term. We came in town to look at properties and rentals and nothing bested our vrbo.

Amazing home close to the beach

We had an amazing stay. The property was spacious. The bedrooms were. Ice and cold and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the outdoor area was fantastic!

Amazing Nosara Location!

Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice- absolutely great place to travel with 1-2 families with kids. We were able to walk to the beach easily with young children and get to the main strip in town. Cute breakfast place and coffee shop close by with an excellent pool for afternoon swims! property manager was an excellent source of information and help. 5 starts - would def come back! Raccoons visit during the night so be mindful of not leaving anything out. We heard and saw howler monkeys around the property daily which was a highlight for kids:)

Perfect place for all ages!

We loved staying at Casa Cristal de Mar. The property was perfect for the 9 of us. We ranged from almost 2 years old to over 65. The pool was great, in the shade in the afternoon. Bedrooms were comfortably air conditioned. There were many sitting areas outside with overhead fans. The property manager was very attentive. The walk to the beach was about 5-10 minutes. There were some nice places to get food or drinks just a few minutes away. Monkeys and iguanas were plentiful. Everything worked wonderfully and we had a great time.

Perfect Nosara Escape

A mixed group of family and friends stayed for a week and we were all hard pressed to think of any little thing that could have made our trip better. The house and grounds themselves are clean, comfortable and a perfect blend of cozy with spacious. The kitchen/common area was incredibly well stocked for a rental and for cooking big group meals. Far and away however, the most amazing perk of this space is the concierge service provided. Pablo made everything as effortless as possible and made the trip go from good to great! Highly recommend dinner with Yuli, her and her crew made pure magic in both service and food quality. Fishing with Juan Mora was epic, one of the best days we have ever had anywhere in the world. Monkey quads delivered and picked up our ATVs, Pablo set up all shuttles to anywhere the crew needed to get and home massages were a delight. Cannot recommend this home enough!

Great place!

Wonderful stay. Pablo met us at the house and was very informative. Property was as advertised. We even managed to sleep outside one night! Beach was a short walk and the pool was refreshing. If you like adventure, we recommend surfing lessons with Nelson, Macho ATV tours, Miss sky canopy, the "booze cruise" and if your lucky enough to be there when the turtles arrive or go back out, ask for Fransisco to take you. Definitely recommend!

Could not have been more perfect

This place was the perfect spot for 13 firemen on a much needed getaway. Booking was simple, Pablo was wonderfully accommodating. When we arrived, Kathy greeted us with all the information we could need and even drove me to the local store to grab some snacks and beer for the fellas. Located in an ideal spot with a brief walk to surf or grab a coffee and a quick bite at Ventanitas. Everyone had such a great time. Thank you!!!

Wonderful home for large groups

A fantastic home and just right for a family vacation with separate rooms and bathrooms and outside areas that allowed everyone to have plenty of space of their own and enough space to come together for dinner. Beach is easily walkable. Lots of places to eat close by including vegan and vegetarian options. And plenty of activities for the kids. Pablo, the concierge, helped me schedule everything, kept me up to date, and was very helpful. He was invaluable. I'd absolutely stay again.

Family vacation in Costa Rica

The property has a great location within Nosara (beach). Everything you need is a short walk or golf cart ride away. The pool was great and worked well keeping our 9 and 11 year olds occupied. The outdoor living space was large enough to give everyone a space to relax. The gated yard felt safe day and night. One of the biggest pluses about this property is the concierge service. The team was awesome and helped us book activities before we arrived and also helped us while onsite. I highly recommend leaning on them for help making the best of your trip!

The ultimate vacation home

Rare J Section was the best vacation home we've ever stayed in. We had two families vacationing together and this was just what we needed. Everyone had nice, clean, cool and accommodating private spaces and the shared spaces were beyond perfect. The whole place was very clean, stocked well and perfectly set up for us to enjoy our days in Nosara area.The management team communicated very well before, during and after our stay and were there to help with anything we needed. The guest resources book helped us find amazing local guides and things to do. That was very nice.Little touches like having fresh water for us to drink and a million towels for all of our activities was great. The pool was like being at a resort and the kitchen areas made entertaining larger groups very easy. The area has a lot to do in walking distance and we couldn't have done it without the perfectly located complex.

Would stay here again - great house

This place is great. We liked that each room was isolated from the others and the rest of the house. The kids could stay up watching movies and we didn't hear them. All the outdoor space and the pool were awesome - even in the rainy season. The concierge was very helpful and we booked a cook to come in twice. Her cooking was excellent. We liked it so much I will say we would stay here again. Some of the reviews complain about the WiFi. We did have a few outages but I think it was across the neighborhood.

We are a very busy family of 5 from Manhattan Beach, CA. Dad and the teen boys are avid surfers and think that Costa Rica is 'off the hook' for surfing !! They hope to get our youngest daughter to join them out on the Playa Guiones waves soon (she stood up her first time out !!). Mom just enjoys strolling the beach in search of amazing shells and sea glass. We will be visitors to our home often, and eventually plan to make Guiones our part time retirement home.

Why they chose this property

After only one visit to Playa Guiones, we knew we wanted to buy property there and build our future retirement home. On our second visit, we rented this home and found out it was on the market. Soon after returning home, we gave up our search for a vacant lot and made an offer on this property. Gary has always had such a great eye for making things the best they can be - and so began our newest project - a new addition and remodel of our new home away from home. And because this house has been such a positive experience, we doubled down and built another house just 4 houses south on the same road :)

What makes this property unique

We absolutely LOVE the location of this property. It is just a short walk to anything and everything !! Playa Guiones is truly special and we couldn't feel more blessed to have a home there.
