Top-rated, cozy guesthouse nestled among the pines just minutes from downtown Flagstaff. Designed for couples, solo travelers, and quiet getaways, this peaceful retreat offers privacy, comfort, and easy access to town, trails, and seasonal adventures — all in a calm residential setting.

The guesthouse features a king bed, full kitchen, central heat and air conditioning, high-speed WiFi, and a private entrance. It’s well suited for snow days, remote work, and relaxed stays focused on rest and simplicity. We maintain a fragrance-free, chemical-conscious environment using non-toxic cleaning and laundry products.

The Space

The Ponderosa Guesthouse is a private, thoughtfully designed unit with its own entrance and no shared interior spaces. Guests enjoy exclusive use of the guesthouse interior and a designated patio with Adirondack chairs.

This property also includes a separate main house. The front walkway is shared up to the front door only. For privacy, guesthouse guests should use the designated gate and sidewalk on the far right side of the property and avoid walking around the back of the main house. The patio and sidewalk that border the guesthouse are reserved for guesthouse guests. Any outdoor areas beyond the guesthouse entrance in the backyard are reserved for main house guests.

This cozy cottage had everything we needed. Close to everything yet very quiet. We cooked in for all our meals and the little kitchen had everything we needed without being crowded. Loved the fresh roasted coffee beans!

We stayed a week at this property. It was wonderful. It was clean and comfortable. It really is a beautiful place and worked well for the two of us. It was equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The property owner, Jenna, was very responsive to our questions. She assisted with a couple of things that we didn’t understand such as operating the washing machine and TV. It is in a residential area that is very nice and quiet. There is a paved walking path surrounding the neighborhood that was easy to access. We certainly will return to this property.

The guesthouse was a great size for the two of us. We enjoyed the coffee and the ability to cook a few meals. The property is near a walking trail and was perfect for morning walks. The bed and couch were comfortable. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Easy to follow instructions.

Easy to locate, with lots of in-depth instructions as to where to park and how to access this property, did not experience any noise issues from attached property. My wife and I stayed one night while on a northern AZ adventure and this was perfectly located not far from nearby restaurants and stores.

Flagstaff Trip

Very nice and comfortable stay. The property was in a very accessible area and provided easy access to sites in the city of Flagstaff. I would, however, recommend providing a small gas grill in allowing patrons to BBQ outdoors instead of limiting cooking indoors. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

By far, one of the most inviting, comfortable, clean, and modern guest homes we have stayed in! So close to NAU and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again! All the accommodations and then some!

Ponderosa Guest House

Guest house was clean and comfortable. Neighborhood was quiet and had paved paths that are part of the Flagstaff Urban Trails network which made for nice evening hiking or walks. Most everything we wanted was within a 20 - 30 minute drive. We would stay there again.

Don’t pass this up!

This property was beautiful. It was perfect for my weekend stay but it would also be perfect long-term if needed. The neighborhood is quiet and developed and the greenery and trees only add to the beauty of the location. Wish I could have stayed longer as this is a perfect place to relax and get away. Will definitely be booking again!!

Excellent Stay

The property has a great location near a crossroads that enables you to easily get wherever you want to go no matter what direction it is in. The house is very clean, and recently updated, and has wonderful owners that make you feel welcome and comfortable. There are numerous very nice artful touches throughout the house. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and everything else we needed to cook all the meals we had planned out ahead of time. We spent most days exploring the local fishing hotspots and enjoyed playing games and watching movies in the evenings. There was ample backyard space for the kids to run some energy off. We enjoyed talking with the owners on chance meetings on our way in or out. They have very good recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area in a handy book inside the rental. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had and we had no issues during our entire 5 night stay. I will definitely book this again in the future! I highly recommend.

Very clean, stocked with household supplies, and a fantastic coffee maker! Host had a ton of great information on local places to hike, eat, and explore. Caution that it does share a wall with the main house so there was noise from the other folks renting the main house, but they generally abided by the quiet hours. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The Ponderosa Guesthouse exceeded every expectation — one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in!
