Being a Filipina in my genes gives me a natural advantage. Our culture generally has the reputation of being one of the most hospitable in the world. We love to entertain and feel connected with our guests, and given some time, we eventually feel that we become like family or close friends.
With a natural talent and eye for art, I've personalized all our suites at Mistiso's Place & Morning Star Bunkieland with their own distinct and unique character. Each suite is a unique space for anybody who appreciates personal touches and artsy, eclectic decor. I'm a Virgo, so I tend to be a perfectionist and pay a lot of attention to detail.
Why do I host? It's the guests, my co-workers, and the knowledge, wisdom, & friendships that I've gained over the years that make this the best job for me ever! I genuinely enjoy & LOVE what I have gotten to do every day for the last 20 years.
Seeing smiles, hearing stories, and reading glowing reviews online make all the hard work pleasurable. These validations give my team and me great joy and satisfaction, as we know that we're doing something good for the worldâone stay at a time.
