This house will take your Cape May visit to the next level! You’ll love this historic 1885 property completely renovated in 2019 to showcase its Victorian charm with added modern conveniences. There’s plenty of space for extended family or multiple family/friend groups to stay. Park your cars in the driveway and take advantage of our central location where everything is within 10 minutes…walk to the beach and Washington Street Mall, bike to the lighthouse and sunset beach or drive to the wineries, breweries, and distilleries.

We have a bedroom suite on the first floor which is a rare find and is perfect for families staying with grandparents or anyone needing to avoid extra stairs. Two bedrooms upstairs also have full private baths. Guests' favorite feature is the massive front porch featuring a sitting area and rocking chairs with a beautiful view of Wilbraham Park.

Our bonus room is the entire third floor which makes for a really fun kids' space offering four twin beds and private bath with a claw-foot tub.

Location has lots to offer with West End Garage and bakery 3 doors down and restaurants the same distance the other way. Grab coffee at Exit Zero, breakfast at doc mikes, and pizza, liquor and dinner right at the end of the block. Location is perfect for year-round activities with all the events at the park, and enjoy the Christmas parade from the rocking chairs on the front porch.

Policies
Please carefully read the information below and determine if our house would be a good fit for your group. Primary renter must be at least 30 years of age. We are a non-smoking property which means no smoking inside the house, on the porch, or anywhere on the property. If you have smokers in your group we suggest you rent a different property. We do issue leases. If you misrepresent your group your lease will be voided, you will not have access to the property and no money will be returned. Comforters, pillows, blankets, mattress pads, kitchen towels, and bath mats will be provided. As with most Cape May house rentals, tenants bring their own bedsheets and towels. Local linen rental service information is provided for guests who prefer to have these items delivered.

Family Getaway

Our family of 10 enjoyed a perfect getaway for Easter at your home. It was a perfect blend of cozy and modern all wrapped in one! The location was ideal to walk to the shops in town and the beach in the warm afternoon. Check-in was seamless and it was easy to contact if the owners if needed. Excellent house for wedding party

We stayed here with our wedding party for our wedding weekend in Cape May. It was PERFECT for what we needed and slept everyone so comfortably. I would recommend to anyone who wants to have a true Cape May experience with EXCELLENT hosts!

Family Beach Getaway

Our family enjoyed the house and loved how much space we had for our week long trip. The walk to the beach was not bad at all with 5 small kids. Amazing location with tons of things to do. Pleasant Pocket on Perry

We enjoyed our stay at Pocket on Perry. The house had two living areas, an open kitchen with plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms, a nice front porch, outdoor shower and bikes to use. We loved the very handy box of chairs & umbrellas located on the beach! Plenty of parking. Great location to walk to the beach and in town to the shops and restaurants.

Great Ladies getaway

Roomy and well stocked home, perfect for our 6 women getaway in Cape May! Owners very responsive. The porch was a fantastic place to gather for a drink and snacks. Kitchen was ample with 2 coffeemakers, many paper goods, plates and utensils. We walked to the beach and the main shopping “mall”. Great fun!

Girls Weekend Getaway

Awesome house for large family trip

This place was great! Owner was very quick to respond. The house is big with a thoughtful layout and lots privacy within it- awesome for four grandparents and two families of four with young children. Easy walk to the beach, cvs is across the street and lots of convenient places to eat. Everything was new and worked well. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and cooking gear. We dined on the porch, in the kitchen, in the backyard, and in the dining room. You can easily walk to the pedestrian center or bike. Thanks for the great stay!

Charming House, Great Location

This house was very charming and comfortable for our group of 8 adults and 6 children. The location was excellent, with downtown Cape May and the beach just a short walk away. We also loved the bakery just a few doors down. We did encounter a few minor inconveniences such as clogged and/or slow-to-drain bathroom drains and bedroom/bathroom doors that wouldn't stay closed unless you latched them from the inside. The house was generally clean, but a few spots were missed (e.g., visible dust on the ceiling fans, a baking sheet with oil residue). Despite this, we had a wonderful time and would consider renting this property again!

Our family of 12 loved our time at Pocket on Perry, plenty of room for all of us. The outdoor porch was great to just sit outside at night. The house was well stocked. Great location, easy to walk most places. We had four cars and had no issue with parking between the driveway and front of the house.

Great Weekend Getaway

We absolutely loved our time at Pocket on Perry. The house is great, and it is fully equipped with everything to make it comfortable and welcoming. It is a wonderfully updated Victorian house while still maintaining that Cape May charm. The house is also in a great location, and walkable to the beach and all the local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here, and we plan to come back soon!

Beautiful House and Perfect Location

This property is perfectly located to beaches and the Washington Street shopping area. Plus it is very close to the road down to the lighthouse and other points of interest near the point. Beautiful porch and very well stocked kitchen. Lots of games. Loved our visit.

Nice property and stay. Further from the beach than depicted on VRBO.

Overall, we had a great time. The property was very nice, ample room for 2 families (8 people total). Interior was nice and comfortable, and nice outdoor porch seating area. In terms of location, part of the reason why I selected this home was my perceived proximity to the beach. It appeared from the map on VRBO that this property was about 1 block from the beach. Unfortunately, it’s about 5.5 blocks from the beach (~0.4 miles), which is significantly further than I expected based on the listing and map. However, this rental does include a reserved box at the beach with stored chairs and umbrellas, which made the walk a bit lighter. Overall a good experience, all said and done. I’d stay here again, I’d just adjust my expectations when considering this property vs others.

Perfect beach house

We loved everything about our stay at Pocket on Perry. Clean and beautifully remodeled. Location was perfect, easy walk to Washington Street shops and easy bike ride to beach. Chairs and umbrellas in a storage locker so we didn't have to drag those back and forth. Plenty of hangout space for the kids on the one rainy day (so rare in Cape May!) - the smart TVs in each room were a bonus so no fighting about who wanted to watch what :) The adults appreciated the beautiful porch for morning coffees and evening cocktails. Hosts were also very helpful and responsive. We can't wait to go back!
