Nestled on 20 private acres surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland, this secluded haven offers oversized living areas, a bold, colorful interior, and complete privacy.
Enjoy the outdoor deck, hot tub, and fire pit with a cozy seating area right off the kitchen. In the evenings, the silence is profound, perfect for unwinding under the stars.

RULES:
THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE! No underage groups, proms, drinking parties, keg parties, etc.
DOGS: Pre-approval is required. Low shedding breeds only due to allergies.

**PLEASE NOTE:
This is the country and you can expect to see many animals, birds, snakes and insects (including ticks) that are all part of the ecosystem. Black Bears live locally although we have not seen them on the property yet. There are Eagles and hawks in the area so keep small dogs close to you at all times. When hiking through wooded areas or grass we recommend using Off spray or another known brand on your shoes and legs.
During the summer you might hear distant music from the summer camp a mile up the road but it is not bothersome.

GENE'S BOATS and PAYNES WATER SPORTS are on White Lake 10 minutes away. Online reviews are mixed so you might want to read them first or drive a little further to STARLIGHT MARINA or SWINGING BRIDGE MARINA

This was our fourth or fifth stay at this house over the last few years, and it was excellent again. The manager is very responsive and makes sure you have everything you need. The house itself is comfortable and very well equipped. I’m sure our family will return here again.

Girls’ Getaway

My friends and I are lawyers and we needed a fun getaway so we could relax and have fun. This house was the perfect spot. It’s clean, beautifully designed and has plenty of room. The hot tub and fire pit were a great bonus. We will be back!

Our family had the most amazing time at this wonderful expansive and beautifully decorated home. There were so many exciting games to keep them all busy all morning and evening. Leah was always available for any questions. She keeps adding more to the details of the home. It was so well stocked with linen, bedding and towels and was super clean, cozy and decorated in the most vacation beautiful way. The yard is beautiful too, both front and back and we enjoyed seeing deer around the neighborhood every evening. We'd love to come back again!

50th Birthday Gathering

This house was perfect for our group, there to celebrate a 50th birthday with friends and family. Close to Bethel Woods for an easy trek to a concert, and the next day to visit the Woodstock museum. The open kitchen/island and the large dining table were perfect for family style meals and games. The area is beautiful, and walking down the road brought amazing views! The fire pit was a great space to gather and stay warm. Just an awesome stay, and Leah was an excellent host!

11 of us guys in our 40s met for a college reunion. Thank you thank you thank you Leah for a marvelous house! The description and photos were accurate. No issues with any indoor or outdoor amenities. Plenty of yard space for lawn games. Loved the Mortal Kombat arcade machine & indoor basketball hoop. We pulled out the trundle bed mattresses so 6 of us could comfortably sleep in the bunkbed room. K-cup coffee machine was excellent. Lots of kitchen supplies to help. Door lock process was smooth. And through it all Leah was so wonderful with communicating. Thank you!

Large Property

The house was very large and in good shape. Kitchen had every pot, pan, and utensil you would ever need to cook. Spacious property was great for outdoor activities in addition to the provided hot tub and grill. Very pleased with my stay.

What a house!

This house is amazing! It is a perfect blend of modern and mid-century modern. We loved the original pieces that had been saved and used in the renovation. There is more floor space than you could ever use and the views are fantastic!

Weekend in the country

This is the second year my family has stayed at this property. We could not be more satisfied. The place is spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Our first impression was great as you arrive you find the entire place spotlessly clean. We have nothing but good things to say.

We had a fantastic time at this property. The owner answered all our questions in a very timely fashion and was warm and friendly. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and the beautiful scenery and quiet. There were games for the kids as well. We all enjoyed ourselves from the youngest to the oldest.

Awesome Spot for a Friend Getaway

My group of friends and I have been planning weekend long get togethers at random vrbos and other rentals for a couple of years now and this one was a fantastic stay! The space was incredible and we had plenty of room to eat, sleep, and play. The hot tub was also incredible! The weather didn't give us a lot of options in terms of excursions but we took an hour long drive to Walden to check out the Angry Orchard cidery and it was well worth the drive. The property is also super close to the original Woodstock site which was worth the visit! Leah was a very thoughtful and helpful host and we would absolutely come back!

Mid Winter break & birthday

Our second stay at the Retro Ranch (first was a winter break during the pandemic) and, as usual, what a great time. Spacious, stylish and very comfortable, the retro ranch was the perfect three day holiday weekend locale for our daughter’s birthday. Friends & family loved it. Leah is a wonderful host who is super communicative and has a property manager to help if she’s not available. Can’t wait to come back in the summer for a show at Bethel Woods.

Celebrate back in time!

Our family got together at the Retro Ranch to celebrate my wife's retirement and the house bacame a major element of the entire weekend. Plenty of room for our 12 adult group to have meals together, hang out on the kitchen or the TV room, or by the fire. You are in a secluded location , yet very easy access to many local attractions that fit a variety of interest. We did like to be back to enjoy the Sunsets! Communication with Leah was excelent and was very responsive to our inquiries. We enjoy places that looks impresive and welcoming at the same time, the Retro Ranch is very much that.

Space for days

The space is even larger in person. We greatly appreciated the really bright colors. Definitely a little room for improvement, but for what we needed (Clean space with plenty of room to stretch out) we couldn't have asked for a better space. Property owner was great with communication even though I didn't notice she was checking in with us until much later. I guess that's a sign that their directions and information ahead of time was really good! Definitely plan to rent the space again in the future.

Beautiful and relaxing property!

The property is gorgeous! We came with a family (with little kids) and a bunch of adults as well and it was awesome for all age groups. One of our friends said "I saw the pictures and thought it can't possibly be that beautiful, but no, it's even prettier in real life!" Down to every last detail. Even the microwave and knives match the decor. 😉 The fresh air is amazing, beautiful quiet area. We brought quite a few activities to do once we got there but the space lends itself to chilling and relaxing around the fire that we didn't end up needing any of the activities we brought. There's a game room, two areas to relax on the couch and chairs near the island. Not to mention Leah is the perfect host! super helpful and responsive! 10/10 would go again

A wonderful quarantine safe break from NYC

We had a quarantine safe getaway from NYC complete with everything we needed. Leah was such a gracious host that she ordered food platters and serving bowls for our holiday dinner and had it delivered to us. She truly made sure that whatever we needed was on hand. Our children explored the neighborhood and enjoyed daily runs and spotting deer. They spent time outside around the fire pit eating smores and chatting. Plenty of movies to watch and tons of space to sit, eat and fellowship. Leah’s home is super clean. Our group all currently work remotely including the kids. We chose the home specifically because of the fast WiFi and thankfully it delivered! Also, the mattresses were very comfortable- memory foam I think. We would definitely return. We were a group of 7 and felt like we had tons of space for more guests. Thank you Leah for sharing your lovely home with us!

Oasis in a snow storm

Our family was cracking under the pressure of our eleven months of cabin fever and needed to breathe and laugh and live someplace else. Leah’s beautiful ranch house near Bethel Woods was the perfect place to ride out a major snowstorm. Right out the front door we could sled down a perfect sledding hill. On the other side of the house the hot tub was relaxing and fun. The house itself was exactly as advertised. Big enough for us to spread out for work and remote schooling, and cozy enough when we wanted to chill together. The style and decor is clean, cool and welcoming. I miss the kitchen already. We’d definitely come back, especially in the summer time during the concert season. Leah is a pro at this. She gave us very clear info and instructions from the moment we booked and was super quick to answer any question. Even though we never actually talked or saw her, we felt totally taken care of the entire visit. Much obliged!

The Best

We had so much fun at this spot. It is so hard to find a place to fit a family of 6 and this sport was perfect, actually it’s even too big for us but after being cramped in hotel rooms this was luxury! The interior is retro 70s, totally fitting with the Bethel Woods/Woodstock theme. We saw countless deer every day. A groundhog, skunk bunnies. Only the skunk didn’t want to be friends… lol It is a 10 min drive to Bethel Woods, close enough to hear the music but far enough away to feel like you are in blissful woodland solitude. The whole house is spacious. There are 4 bedrooms as described. The 4th room has 4 twin beds (2 sets of bunk beds) and 2 trundle beds. The third room has a queen & a single (if I remember correctly) and the first two rooms each have a queen bed with one of those having a small day bed. Easily could handle 3 families. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meals (except groceries of course), even a ton of spices. The laundry facilities were so helpful. The porch/game room is relaxing. The living room is like a theatre with multiple couches and ample seating. The island seats at least 6. The dining room has a long table with many chairs I did not count. Two picnic tables outside. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub unfortunately. A lovely lawn area in the front. Leah was very quick to respond, very friendly. I can’t say enough great things. We can’t wait to plan to go back with friends.

Why they chose this property

This house was purchased from an auction and it was stuck in a 1965 time warp. It had great bones though and I recognized right away that this was a quality built custom home. It's also very large, especially for a one-level house, and sits on an extremely secluded 20 acres of property. I knew this house was a keeper as soon as I saw it. As for the design, I decided to work with some of the cool 1965 features that were inside the home and a few choice furniture items that were left behind from the previous owner. Aside from that, most of the interior of the house was completely renovated to brand new condition in a modern style. It still has some 60s flair blended in with that modern style which makes for a fun, casual but classy setting.
