About this property

Relaxing Getaway on False River, with Swimming Pool, Hot Tub & Outdoor Kitchen

This is a spacious 4,500 square foot house on False River in the town of New Roads. It has 6 bedrooms/4 full bathrooms, 2 half bathrooms, with newly completed swimming pool, tub and outdoor kitchen with 75" TV, fireplace, gas grill, Kamado Joe, and bathroom. You will not want to leave!

We have a separate dining room, reading room., large game room (11'x48') that includes a ping pong table, foosball table, Golden Tee arcade game and a living room with a large 55" TV ready for lots of family fun. It has a very spacious fenced in back yard that will allow you and your family to play games or grill on our BBQ pit while looking at the water. The 100' pier has a large covered deck at the end with seating, lighting and a lower deck for fishing and swimming.

This house has an open floor plan with the kitchen flowing into the living room and dining room, giving plenty space for large groups. The screened in back porch is great for morning coffees, evening glasses of wine and countless hours of relaxing while enjoying the beautiful scenic False River.

Every bedroom has a queen or king bed. In addition to the living room, we have a second den with a futon, 3 comfortable chairs and a large TV. This is a great place to hang out or for kids to watch TV and play.

The master bedroom, kitchen, living room and five of the bedrooms overlook the water with great views of beautiful False River.

The main floor (2nd floor) has the living room, kitchen, dining room, study, master bedroom, master bathroom, half bathroom, and screened in porch.

Downstairs (1st floor) has 3 bedrooms (Queen, Queen and King), large full bathroom, game room , den, patio and garage.

The third floor is newly renovated and contains 2 bedrooms that overlook the water and each one has its' own private bathroom.

We had a wonderful time reconnecting with family and friends in this beautifully, well stocked home. The pool and outside kitchen was a wonderful gathering spot. There were many nice extra touches and I really appreciated a kitchen that had plenty of bowls, pots and dish towels. My only reason for a four rating on cleanliness was the second level porch needs to be power washed badly, but I have stayed at many places on false River and this one is by far the best we definitely will be back.

The Hot Spot

Danny and Alys are top notch hosts. They didn't leave one stone unturned. We had three families stay for a week. Plenty of space to spread out and feel as though you are with your family on vacation coupled with some great common areas to join with your friends for some fun and relaxation. I highly recommend this property. Exceeded my expectations x10.

Lavish lake retreat

1st class property with multiple amenities to include nice mattresses, heated toilet, pool, screened in patio, outdoor cooking area, and a beautiful lake view. The fishing was wonderful, the outdoors were fabulous and the kitchen was well stocked! Loved our stay!

Our stay was beyond expectations. The house had everything a big group would need. All the rooms were spacious. The pool area had everything we needed that we were hardly inside except to sleep. We would definitely stay here again next time we come to Baton Rouge.

Pictures Don’t Do It Justice!

The entire property is beautiful! While it was great bringing the family together, it’s large enough if someone wants “me” time there is enough room! The outside has enough to do while everyone can still be connected. The hosts have thought of everything. We do a week each year in different places and this by far was the best location.

Property is better than advertised. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Located close to one end of the lake makes it more quiet with less boat traffic.

Family fun

Our extended family converged for pool fun, games and a lot of food for 5 days and a great time was had by all! This property is so beautiful, well kept and stocked with all the comforts of home. Annual Group Getaway

We bought this house in 2020 and have absolutely loved it. We immediately converted the attic to 2 bedrooms each with a private bathroom. We also added the swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen. When our house is not rented, you can always find us relaxing by the pool, by the fire in the outdoor kitchen, or on the party barge running the river.

Why they chose this property

We love the location on False River. It is very quiet on our end of the river. We love to jump on the party barge and go for a ride. The view of the river can be enjoyed from the back patio, swimming pool, hot tub or around the fireplace in the outdoor kitchen. We cannot think of a more relaxing location to spend our time.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits to our house starts with the 6 bedrooms. Everyone will have their own private place to go at the end of the night. Additionally, the pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen make this the best all around rental on the water in Louisiana.
