The host was fantastic, the entire place was spotless and the forest setting was wonderful while still being fairly close to the main hub of Comox. We saw lots of deer walking through the property while sitting out on the expansive deck. Beds and couch were comfy too! We had a great time.

We absolutely fell in love with this property! Short drive to the beach, short drive to town. Close enough to everything, but still private. Felt like we were at cabin retreat! The home itself was nostalgic and beautiful. Filled with tiny treasures, and two balconies. The host made sure to have fresh flowers/plants displayed. Little things like access to laundry soap and condiments was a nice touch! Will be back for sure!

Fantastic!

We stayed at The Birdhouse for a week from August 19-26, 2022. The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful area. It’s very clean and it’s set up well with all the basic necessities. The bed is soft and comfy. The shower pressure is perfect. The cottage is bigger inside than it appears from the pics. It’s roomy and perfect for a small family. Our dog enjoyed her stay too. We saw a cute tree frog on the deck and deer in the front yard. Comox and Courtenay are the prettiest cities on the island. We had excellent meals at The Tidal Cafe and the Black Fin. Airforce Beach and Filberg Park were so beautiful!
