You could not find a better place to stay. Our first contact Geri was a gem. Answered every question so fast. Offered her knowledge and arranged transfers, extra golf cart, excursion had our frig stocked with everything we needed. I have never stayed at a place with such an amazing host who was in contact at all times.

House was as advertised and pool was wonderful. First time for a housekeeper or cook and we loved both! Excursions with Captain Jaks and Julien Transfers were all enjoyable.House was a little remote with a 25 minute golf cart ride into a small village. Adult Kids would have liked more nightlife. Great for getting together with extended family.

We really enjoyed our stay. 3 days with a phenomenal chef was a nice feature. The place is always clean/cleaned and if you ever need anything they are very responsive.

We had the most wonderful week at Villa Groovy Gecko. It is truly a slice of paradise - we hardly left the villa all week and we had everything we needed. The staff was so attentive and friendly, and chef Manuel prepared amazing meals (he was even super thoughtful with our young children and their preferences). The spa services are so convenient and reasonably priced. I don’t think we could have asked for a better experience! Bring lots of bug spray and lots of swimsuits for the gorgeous pool and you will have a fantastic stay!

This process and experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The only bad part was that we had to leave. The owner was an excellent communicator and had us prepared to arrive and the staff on site was amazing. We hope to be able go back to this property in the future.

We had a perfect stay at Groovy Gecko. The host was impeccable with ongoing communication and assistance with recommendations for transportation and tour providers. Mabel was always in touch with confirming our tour reservations, helped with restaurant reservations, and responsive to anything we needed. Staff kept the house clean, beach taken care of and even did our personal laundry. The oceanfront property was beautiful and everything we needed. Chef meals were also a highlight of our trip. The overall hospitality we received top notch. Would highly recommend.

Terrific communication with Gerri prior to arrival which set the tone for the week! Villa was clean well stocked. Villa is just as pictured. Staff was exceptional! Beach and pool were great

From the moment we arrived til the moment we drove out of the gate, Mabel and staff saw to our every need! Special shout out to Manuel for the delicious meals that he prepared. Also to the maintenance guys for removing the seaweed from the beach for our event photo shoot! This is a wonderful property in a great location with the absolute best staff! Our stay could not have been better!!

Luxurious stay, perfect for large groups!

Our group of 9 people had a fantastic time at Villa Groovy Gecko. Our favorites: the private chef / menu (including fresh fish and lobster), the team at the Villa (including daily laundry service and unlimited coconuts to consume), enough space for our entire group to stay comfortably, amenities (corn hole, plenty of kayaks and paddle boards). Would stay again!

Enjoyed the overall layout and accommodations; enjoyed by the entire family. Kitchen appliances (dishwasher and stove) need a little updating. One bedroom shower had troubles draining.

Paradise in Placencia

Villa Groovy Gecko is a slice of paradise in the Caribbean. It's a private beach front villa with all the amenities of a resort. It's a great location, close to the store and restaurants and the staff is very accommodating and friendly as well. We had an amazing time and did not want to leave our little paradise. We will definitely be staying here again!

Family

Villa Groovy Gecko provided the great location for our family of ten vacation. On site amenities were available to all ages. The staff were great, assisting us with our inquiries regarding the property and area activities. Our Chef provided fantastic meals. Beautiful home and located right on the beach. Home was exactly as described and in the photos, and was immaculately maintained. Plenty of toys on the beach - kayaks and paddle boards which are shared by the three homes all next to each other, also had cornhole boards as well. Upon request we were also able to obtain bikes and basic snorkel equipment. Lots of nice outdoor seating, including hammocks. The team that handled the property were all wonderful - the property manager, chef, cleaning staff, and outdoor maintenance staff were all so kind and hardworking and took incredible care of the property. Would definitely stay here again.

Family get away

Great property for teenagers who all want their own rooms and bathrooms. A lot to do on property and a perfect home base for snorkeling and scuba diving. We went in wet season so the mosquitos and sand flys were bad, but only at night. Staff and host super responsive and nice. Highly recommend.
