Sunset Pointe 1 BR, 2BA Garden Apartment

We understand your families health and well being is very important. The Pointe House apartment is in a private single family residence. We, the owners, are not on the property when the apartment is rented so you would be the only ones in the building. Of course, we have a caretaker that lives on site if you should need anything. We do share the pool, 2 docks, and 3 rooftop viewing decks with 12 other units but since we are a small property these areas are never crowded.

On first floor of private residence in Placencia Village, Belize surrounded by water on three sides. For the couple who wants total privacy, yet just a five minute walk into the village. Covered private porches that look onto a lovely garden, tropical mangroves, and the Caribbean Sea.

Furnished in Belize tropical rattan, beautiful local artwork, and all full size, stainless steel appliances plus washer and dryer.

Our local guide will pick you up onsite for offshore trips to reef and island hopping or land adventures to Mayan ruins, caves, ziplining, waterfalls, horseback riding, or hiking the Jaguar Cockscomb Preserve. Property includes a 24/7 onsite care taker, pool, jaccuzi, and two docks. Come enjoy Placencia Village, Belize!

This property is located in a great, secluded location on the point, but it is easy walking/biking distance to restaurants and grocery. The caretakers were very attentive and answered all our inquiries. I would highly recommend!

Sunset Point was a beautiful place. Very clean and quiet. The caretaker, Rosa was very accommodating and wonderful! We will be back! This was just what we needed to get away from our Alaskan winter. Only thing I regret is not going fishing. Maybe next time!

Lobsterfest

Pointe House is an attractive, clean, and well-appointed vacation home. There is a friendly caretaker on site. The pool is very nice and the views are outstanding.The road to the village is a little rocky for walking after dark so renting a golf cart may be a good idea.

Wonderful

Perfect! Lovely place just a short bike ride into the village. The caretakers were fantastic. Unobtrusive but available. This place is a real Belizean gem!

Diving and exploring Placencia

Very nice home. Great water views. Bigger than you think. Nicely decorated with local art. Close to town. The grounds look like they are out of a travel magazine.

A quiet and very beautifully designed and crafted home.The locally painted, and carved wood decor allows you to be living in a gallery.Everywhere you look inside and out is breathtaking beauty.The Caribbean surrounds the dock with local boat traffic on the canal.Treat yourself!

Lodging Facilities

Pros: very clean condo, nice garden view, modern kitchen with new appliances, very secure and safe cons: they use a septic system and there can not put toilet paper in the commode which is unsanitary and can smell as no room service. Problem with electrical system and lighting was a bit deem due burned out bulbs which made it difficult for reading. Lighting in hallway leading in and out of building were out and had to use cellphones light to see door key way. Unsettling at night.

Immaculate Home

This home was absolutely amazing! My only disappointment was the weather and the condition of the ocean and the air. Apparently, I was told, they are burning fires in Mexico and also Belize has a lot of fires burning as well, so the air was thick with smoke and haze. It stayed at around 90 degrees fahrenheit, day and night. There was no tide, no breeze, no relief from the heat, no access to the ocean from the property unless you have a boat. The beaches in town are polluted with sargassum and trash and most restaurants and shops do not have air conditioning. It was HOT and HUMID! The sky was grey, the ocean was grey, with limited visability due to the smog.

Epic property in an epic location

The property was an 11 out of 10. Spotless, everything you could ever need, world class locally sourced decor super friendly and helpful host. I can’t say enough good things about it !

INCREDIBLE!!!!!

This property is the best I've ever stayed in. It is perfectly situated with complete quiet and privacy! It is immaculate and the grounds are constantly being groomed. The pool and hot tub were so incredible clean and lots of fun! The property owner is a doll and responds to any enquiries immediately as does the onsite care taker. It's no even a question of "if" we will back, but rather "when"! OH.. and I've never met friendlier locals! The people are amazing!!!

Great condo on the point

Communication with the owner was fast and very helpful. The condo is beautiful, and was very clean. The living room was small but comfortable. The A/C worked very well and we were happy to have it. The pool and associated furniture was well-maintained and also very clean. The location on the point of the peninsula provided great views from the "crow's nest" on top of each of the condo buildings. There are only a few restaurants within a few blocks, so we used the provided bicycles whenever we wanted to go into the village and to the Placencia sidewalk. If we were to come back, we would rent a golf cart to make that trip much easier, especially after dark.

Beautiful Sunset Pointe

This property was everything advertised and more. The house was perfect, besides being so beautiful, it had all amenities needed. Kitchen was well stalked with what you need for cooking and more.The property was exquisite, very private, quiet and perfect for a good rest or a snorkel. The water was wonderful, especially from the dock where we could watch the fish and boats. You also could be picked up at the dock for most excursions. The pool was also beautiful and usually no people so it was like our own pool. Rosa and Kenny were the caretakers and were very attentive to all our needs.Town was close with all the restaurants and bars. Overall it was just a fantastic experience and we would recommend to all families, couples or someone just traveling solo, Thank you Janis for hosting us on our vacation in Belize and we hope to see you again soon.

Excellent place to stay

The place and location are incredible. It was a beautiful place to stay with great views of the water. The bikes were helpful to get around. Rosa was very nice and helpful.

Great Place

Excellent location, everything smooth about checking in and the workings of the house. The swimming beach is in town, a few hundred yards away, but we enjoyed sitting on the docks or in the palapa, or using the pool.

Placencia Sunset Pointe

We very much enjoyed the property. The pool was very nice and we enjoyed a daily swim. The kayaks were fun to use in the canal and close to shore. Our only wish is that we could have had access to the beautiful views from the roof deck.

Fishing headquarters

Absolutely great place to stay in Placencia. Fishing charter was Charlie Leslie. Picked us up and dropped off at the dock and brief walk into town for dinners. Never got into the pool but was well kept and beautiful grounds.

Sunset Pointe Get a Way

Property is awesome clean and very nice. We loved sitting on the deck in the morning and listening to the ocean. Our fishing guide and tour guide came by and picked us up by boat right next to the house. Rosa is sweetheart and very helpful. Can’t wait to go back.

Sunset Pointe

Janis was great. There were some issues with the property, (not her fault), which she resolved by upgrading us to a bigger, better space and giving us a two night refund for our trouble. I wish there were ladders at the dock so we could swim near the house.

My husband and I have owned a home in Placencia for 13 years. We loved visiting the Florida Keys until it became so crowded with people and boats. The Peninsula and Placencia remind us of what the Keys and Key West must have been like 75 or 100 years ago.

Where else in the world can you dive or fish on the second longest Barrier Reef in the world in the morning and cave or hike through pristine jungle mountains and go to waterfalls in the afternoon.

We love it here because no other country in Central America offers so much for so little effort in such a tiny land mass. Add to this the environmentally caring infrastructure and English speaking, friendly, laid-back people and you soon realize that Belize really does have it all.
