Welcome to the Cabin By the Sea!! The home is located on a quiet street 6 blocks to the Galveston Seawall. The section of beach is amazing for families or friends trips together. The home is centrally located for activities at the beach or activities downtown. There are 2 bedrooms with king beds in both. 3rd bedroom has bunkbeds and also a twin/trundle in the back to sleep 6 people comfortably. The beds are super cozy (100% cotton bedding) and we have top of the line room darkening curtains for those that want to sleep in on their vacations. Front and back yard for the kiddos to play and a firepit for roasting hotdogs/marshmallows for dessert. We have some of your beach gear provided for your stay (please inquire for specific requests). 2 residential parking passes are provided for your stay along with one designated spot in front of the house. Please come, relax, and complete your stay at the Cabin By the Sea and enjoy the decorations that make this 1915 piece of history your beach house getaway!! Located close to the downtown famous Galveston Strand and 6 blocks to the Galveston Seawall makes this cottage the perfect place for families to enjoy or couples to enjoy. Ceiling fans are provided in all rooms so that the place stays comfy and cool during the summer heat. We have a front a back yard to provide your dogs with a place to play. PLEASE be considerate and pick up after your pet in the yard or we will have to discontinue pets at the cottage. If you have a specific breed that's over 25 lbs. please reach out to us specifically and we can see if we can work out a stay. We are big on antiques and building farmhouse tables from the old siding off the houses in Galveston. Just look at the kitchen table!!! We know the best antique shops with the best pricing. Our friends also own the local dive shop across from the Tremont Hotel. If you need help with booking a trip please let us know and we can help coordinate. We have local fishing charters that we work with so if that in your plans we can advise which charters to plan your trip with while staying in Galveston. We are offering WEEKLY and MONTHLY DISCOUNTS during the year. PLEASE ASK for a personalized quote!!!

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Upon y’all’s departure tomorrow just a quick reminder to PLEASE leave our parking passes. They are $500 each for replacement and will be charged to the guest if not returned.
Also, there is an extra detergent packet (Surf) on the shelf above the dryer. If y’all could please start a load of towels that were used that would be amazing! Safe travels as y’all head back!!

Great Get Away

The house looked exactly like its pictures. Very clean! It was perfect for my family of 6. The decor was wonderful and definitely made us feel like we were on vacation. Sheets and towels provided was very helpful!

Perfect place to stay for family trip to Galveston

This house is very cute and very clean and well kept. It's super close to anything you would want to do in Galveston. The hosts are very accommodating and answered questions quickly. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Such a cute little beach house!

My family and I had a great time here! The house was clean and accommodating, especially for our toddlers! It is also less than a 5 minute drive from the beach! Erica was super sweet and communicative! Definitely recommend!

This was a beautiful home located close to the beach and the strand. Great location. The house was very clean and cozy. There was plenty of comfortable beds and everyone slept good. Quiet neighborhood. The check in process was extremely simple. The host was very helpful and easy to contact if needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location, cute house

We loved this little house on the Island. It was plenty big enough for us, providing enough beds for even more than we needed, a comfy and inviting living area, big kitchen, and everything we needed. Having a BBQ pit available for our steaks & ribs, gave us a great place to cook our delicious meals. The dishwasher made it nice not having to waste our quality time in front of the sink. Perfect little get-a-way for a family or extended family.

Amazing hosts!

We had an amazing experience with this property. The hosts were very quick to respond to me and they went way above and beyond to accommodate us. The house was incredibly clean, well decorated, and super cozy. They even left sand buckets and bubbles for each of my boys to enjoy, as well as water bottles in the fridge. I am very pleased with our stay and they made our first journey to Galveston a great one!

Super cute and cozy house!

Great little house with tons of character! Host was absolutely fantastic! Yard was fully fenced, which was great for our pup! House was honestly a lot quieter than we were expecting. We stayed in November and had no problems with HVAC - house was really comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend and I would stay here again!

Perfect for Us

Close to everything. Very Clean. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Fenced yard in front and back perfect for traveling with a small dog. Plenty of room for a small family. May be crowded for a family with a few women as only one full bathroom with the only mirror in the house. But our stay was perfect! Will definitely stay again.

A Great Time

We had an amazing time! The house is literally so close to everything. Such a cute and cozy house. The host was readily available. She left a beach bucket with goodies in it for my girls and a bottle of wine. The neighbors were so friendly. The only complaint is that one neighbors dog barked a lot when trying to sleep at night.

Excellent hosts

Erica was an awesome host. Very easy to communicate with. The house was very nice, very clean, quiet neighborhood. Close to seawall and not far from The Strand. She was there from the beginning to explain everything and also sent everything in writing which I so needed. They were even nice enough to clean out the garage for us to use to store our bikes since we were there for Rally Weekend 2022.

BEAUTIFUL HOME AWAY FROM HOME

My first time booming anything like this and it was amazing! The house was so clean and check in process was smooth. Owners were amazing people and so sweet! They got each kid (1,3,and 10) something for the beach and a bottle of wine for us adults. They even stock some waters in the fridge to get us started. Plenty of towels! THE BEDS ARE INCREDIBLE!!! Everyone really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely will be booking again! EVEN HAD ACCESS TO DISNEY+ and other streaming accounts for when it was time to settle the babies down. LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOVED EVERY MOMENT HERE!

This was a wonderful snowbird destination.

Our two friends and my husband and I stayed for January and February in Galveston. This VRBO was perfect!!! It was spotlessly clean; it was beautifully appointed and decorated; it had great gathering places (the kitchen and the living room, and the wonderful fenced-in yards), and then places where we could be private. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. The location of the house was great. It was about halfway between the Seawall and the Strand, so it was convenient for all of the Mardi Gras celebrations. Erica and Hollis were wonderful!! If I texted Erica about a question, she always answered back within a few minutes. We all became quite fond of Erica and Hollis, and Mr. Billy, our neighbor. I absolutely, 100%, recommend this VRBO location.

This place is wonderful! There's everything you'd need!

We went on our first vacation with our youngest child recently and rented this house so we could go with our 2 older boys(9 yrs and 11yrs) and our youngest (18 months) and my inlaws all in one place. There was the perfect amount of space for ALL OF US!! We originally planned on sharing our bed with the baby but turns our she had a pack in play there for him! There's board games and beach toys, wash and dryer and the back yard has the softest grass I've ever stepped on. Erica was a wonderful renter on top of it! She called us to offer us recommendations for the area on food and fun for the family and left us a bottle of wine to wined down with along with sand pales and toys for the boys to keep. We had a wonderful time staying here. 5 stars.

Bright, comfy & welcoming

The online photos of this home were very appealing and did not disappoint at all in real-life! It had everything needed for a great visit: Friendly, helpful and caring owners, light, bright and inviting house and lovely decorated with quality furnishings. Even-though the house seems very small from the street, it is very deceiving, as it is quite spacious on the inside. The open-plan living area is very usable and practical/family-friendly. The house was also ideal for our little dog, with grass in the front and the back. Backyard is also a nice area for barbecue and Smores in the Chimnea. There are enough TV's for those family members that enjoy it. It was also very close to the beach and all the restaurants etc. without the high traffic and noise. This home really had everything we needed plus a lovely atmosphere at a very good price! We had a lovely weekend and would highly recommend this home (and it's very kind owners too:)

We love the island and its honestly our second home. We love boating, fishing and are always on the water. Please let me know if you have any special needs or requests. We can help in any way possible!!!

Why they chose this property

This property is centrally located in Midtown. Walking distance to Pennies, Shrimp and Stuff and the amazing and famous Chef Mary Bass place (La Cocina on 39th). Our street is super quiet and peaceful and located directly between Ave O and Ave P. Getting around the island is super easy being directly in the middle!!!

What makes this property unique

Front yard and back yard for the families to play and have fun. We are dog LOVERS, but PLEASE and I am begging PLEASE make sure to pick up after your pets or we will have to discontinue being pet friendly.
