Welcome to Gretels Haus! When it is time to get away from it all, make this gem your home away from home. Whether you are joined by family or friends, it is the perfect mountain getaway for good times and lasting memories. Nestled on top of Blueberry Hill this cabin has it all – hot tub, wood burning fireplace, fire pit, outdoor gas grill, fully equipped kitchen, king and queen size beds. And now...

Walk in and relax in the vaulted ceiling living room with a comfy leather couch and matching chair, and of course the wood burning fireplace. The smart tv over the fireplace includes free YouTube TV for all your favorite channels. There's also a DVD player. The open main level floor plan includes kitchen, dining and living areas.

The kitchen is equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker (drip and Keurig style) and toaster. The cabinets are stocked with all the cookware and dinnerware you will need for any meal or snack. The cooking utensils and flatware are also
provided. The handmade wood dining table has room for four to six to sit comfortably for meals or game night. There are lots of board games from which to choose. Just outside on the back deck is a large hot tub overlooking the woods just waiting for the morning wake-up dip or the evening soak after a day of mountain hiking!

The main floor bedroom features a queen bed, a Smart TV, a DVD player and a ceiling fan. Just a few steps away, the downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower. Upstairs is the master king bedroom with a smart tv, a DVD player and a ceiling fan. The master bath features a shower/tub combo. Look over the railing to the living area below. Enjoy a relaxing get-away at Gretels Haus!

• Minimum Age Requirement: Gretels Haus is available to families or guests who are at least 21 years old.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: The road to the cabin is dirt and gravel. Road not suitable for low profile vehicles.
• Security Disclosure: There is a ring camera facing the parking area and one on the front doorbell at Gretels Haus.
• Pet: Gretels Haus is Not pet-friendly. No pets allowed.
• Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

Location was perfect, very clean and just what we needed.Very comfortable with everything we needed. They even called the next morning to ensure checkin and all was ok. Only adjustments I suggest is hot tub was only 97/98 degrees, that's bath water but still enjoyed. Water pressure could be better in cabin and door code too long..lol..NONE of these would stop me from renting again.

Anniversary

Those in charge of the property were very helpful and courteous. The woman we spoke with brought us a bottle of champagne when she learned it was a trip for our anniversary. Then when I left my new shoes at the cabin the called asking about if I was missing them and arranged to have them sent back to me! I loved this cabin and will always have a good memory of our time there! We even plan to return to the same place one day!

Had a hot tub but several appliances, etc. did not work. Two separate coffee makers broken yet kept there, internet very spotty and watching the TV was impossible due to outages. DVD did not work.And if you have more than 2 guests, keep your coolers close as the refridgerator was incredibly small, very much like a college dorm one. Place was clean and bed was nice.All wooded area no view at all.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was below decent. Had some issues. We arrived late 11pm- from driving and our door code wasn’t working. So standing out side with a 2 year old trying to call someone they had to reset it for us to get in and took a while. Was not too happy about that. Bathroom ceiling was moldy. Not very clean cabin over all. Lots of dust- my son was coughing annd sneezing our entire stay unless we left the cabin - and weird slime on kitchen walls. I asked 3 times( because I sent a message one month out from our stay and still no reply ) if there was a pack n play mattress I was told there was and there wasn’t. For the price I would have expect better. Outside patio was very dirty.

Perfect location

Property management was excellent and very responsive. When the coffee pot was not working, they had a new one at the front door within 20 minutes. Could use some updates as the property is aging but I would stay here again.

Beautiful, great experience.

Really nice cabin. Great location, peaceful and beautiful scenery. The cabin was clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed for cooking etc. would definitely stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was just as described with accurate/updated pics. Hosts were very, friendly and helpful, they gave detailed instructions on how to get to the cabin. Very cute place and would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only item I think should be addressed is the control panel on the hot tub was shorted out so some of the bottons worked different parts for example the jets button turned the light on underwater. They have it labeled so that wasn’t a huge deal plus the hot tub was really our favorite part and is what sold us totally on the property. The only other item and it could just be us now that I’m almost 40 lol... Would be the bed in the upstairs or the (King bed) it was pretty hard and by our second night it kept my wife and I up. So perhaps a mattress topper, other than that place was on point and even had some festive decor for the holiday season.
