Welcome to Mystic Mountain Hideaway! Two miles from downtown Helen but so secluded you will feel like you are on an Alpine vacation but with modern amenities such as high speed WiFi, HD TV, four person hot tub with mountain views! **TWO BEDROOM CABIN with NO visible neighbors this is a true mountain retreat! Rooftop skylights bring in the sunshine during the day and stars at night! We are Pet friendly, we know it’s sometimes hard to leave without taking your dog… medium/small dog welcome.

We have recently upgraded to HD Satellite television and free WIFI so you can enjoy modern comforts if you so desire!

As you turn into this mountain trail toward this inviting log cabin all of the sights and sounds of the city disappear. You will hear a trickle of water, and everything you see & smell is dense, lush, and green.

Experience the outdoors, and experience the indoors in your own secluded universe. You won't see any people or cars at this cabin, but you will see nature at it's most pure while you rest and renew yourself. There is lots of fun to be had at this cabin.

The property is secluded, but only minutes from downtown Helen, Betty's Country Grocery, Hiking Trails, Tubing, Zip Lining, Shopping, and the Chattahoochee River

Your view will include 20 acres of nature including our deer and wild turkey that are content to share their home with you.

Your are welcome here in our magical playground with nature. We feel it’s important to do our best to provide a lifetime memorable experience that will have you wishing it wasn’t time to go…. And with our reviews it’s not just hype. Here on Mystic Mountain you will Love it and then with all that’s available to enjoy with Helen being only 2 minutes away, as well as 2 of the most Beautiful waterfalls in the world. Besides the uniqueness and the cleanliness of the Cabin, one of the added bonuses was that the owner called to make sure we knew where everything was. Sometimes when you stay at these kind of places, it takes a while to find where everything is. With the cold weather outside, it was so nice to be inside. It was warm cozy the fireplace going lots of books to read lots of games to play. Definitely definitely highly recommend this. Can’t wait to come back in the summertime and experience what Helen has for us can go to the falls. We can go to the vineyards and antiquing beyond anything we imagined it would be.

If you want an authentic cabin in the woods experience, this is the place! Very good private, high up on a mountain, wildlife, peace and quiet. The cabin is nicely appointed with everything you may need, and was very comfortable for us. Tom is an outstanding host, who spent time explaining things to us to make our stay much smoother. We loved the loft, sitting by the fire and watching TV, and we were only a few minutes from Helen. The outdoor area was very relaxing; from the outdoor fire pit to the hot tub. Driveway was a bit steep, and the road coming into the property looks intimidating if you’re in a 2wd vehicle, but our Cadillac SRX made it up and down with very little issue. We will definitely be back! Thanks again, Tom!

Everything was perfect! It was secluded, which we were looking for, yet just minutes from Helen. Our GPS took us the wrong way but our host called us and talked us through how to get there. Very responsive!

The cabin is very cozy and private up the side of the mountain. Host was very friendly and responded fast to any needs. We did not get in the hot tub so can't tell you about it.

I’m not one to complain about much but this place took the cake!! As soon as we arrived there was an incredible smell of burnt wood in the fireplace which was almost suffocating. Unfortunately I have compromised lungs and very sensitive to strong smoke odors and dust. To clear out the smell we attempted to open the available windows. When we went to open them the screens and window sill were disgusting. About an inch of dust and debri in each window sill. The chairs at the table had stains on them not to mention the carpets were filthy. I’m sorry to leave such a dismal review but due to the dust and smoke smell my wife had an asthma attack. Therefore having to leave early as we couldn’t stay another night. No care at all from the owner saying “oh sorry”. The cabin needs a complete overhaul in cleaning and some of the furniture needs to be replaced not to mention the rugs. It’s an escape from the madness of life but beware of the narrow passage to the cabin as trees are down on both sides. Just felt more primitive than I expected.

This was a very nice and fun getaway with my partner we had a great time! Only issue was the hill that we had to drive up it was very steep though we were warned prior about it it was intense! Other than that the cabin is cozy and romantic, the entire place felt clean and safe. And Tom was very communicative and prompt with his responses.

Perfect family down time

Rustic cabin charm, and all the comforts to relax. If you need a time out, and want to experience cabin time this is the place for you. You can explore the quaint town of Helen in a 5 min drive, and try a tubing experience, hike to a waterfall, or ride a mountain coaster. This was a great stay and memories made. Host was amazing and accommodating! Thank You!!

This past weekend made our third time staying in this cabin! You couldn't ask for a better location if you want to be close to downtown Helen, but yet still secluded in a mountain cabin close to trout fishing!

This cute little cabin was perfect for our trip. The location to downtown Helen is only a 3 minute drive. It is so private and quite. We came up to Helen for our 25 year anniversary trip and this was exactly what we needed. The bed was comfortable, there were plenty of amenities in the cabin. Cooking supplies, a full fridge/freezer and plenty of cups and plates etc. Outside the cabin was our favorite. We used the hot tub every day and the rope lighting around the deck was so nice. The fire pit was great and so peaceful. Our host was very attentive when we had a little trouble with the Wi-Fi. He answered our calls and texts with in minutes. The driveway is steep so an all wheel drive is recommended but we had no problem navigating the mountain drive. If you are ever planning a trip to Helen, I would definitely recommend this unique cabin location.

A Gem of a place

What a beautiful cuter than cute cabin hidden in the woods. Very secluded cabin, but still close to restaurants, parks, waterfalls, and beautiful scenery. The communication with the owner is excellent and that’s a big plus.

Wonderful place to stay! I will say with young kids you can’t do much outside the cabin as it’s very steep but the cabin was wonderful! Would definitely come back!

If u wanna be where the people arent Mystic mountain is the place!

I brought 2 teenagers ro go watwrfall huntin' & to run away from the tourists in our home town & when i day this place was EVERYTHING we wanted!!The host was so very helpful & just has everything so well thought out..We spent most of the days out but the evenings were magical.The lights around the deck were great.We sat in the hottub with the kids making smores around the fire pit.. It was just everything we wanted! Whwn we vacation we look for all the places the people ARENT!THIS WAS IT!! SO MAGICAL! Thank u for hosting us while making the most amazing memories 10 out of 10

Stress lifts away and the air is fresh and clean! These are just a few reasons we wanted a cabin in this area. After a rigorous search we actually agreed to purchase this mystical cabin our first 15 minutes there, and when you arrive you will understand there is no other place like it.
