Enjoy your peaceful getaway on a private horse farm in your own little cottage . Is there anything we can do to make your stay special please ask ! We just added super fast 1gig internet & 2 bikes and 2 Kayaks for our guests to use .
Please add the correct amount of guests when booking as it affects the rate,we treat dogs as a guest,so each dog is another guest
If you want to bring your Family or Friends we also have some cool AirstreamsOur 20 acre Fairfield Farm is home to horses and animals great & small , you can pick your own herbs from the gardens and just be one with nature, under the starry skies. The cottage is set back in a corner for privacy, with your own entrance. Take 15 minutes (11 miles) to the quaint and popular town of Fairhope, 11 miles or 15 minutes to Foley , 5 min to dreamy oak lined Magnolia Springs, 35 min to the white sand beaches of Orange Beach,Gulf Shores , and Perdido. Walking distance to Weeks Bay Estuary, the pristine protected bay watershed where the freshwater of Magnolia Springs empties before entering Mobile Bay, which is just minutes away.There is a Boatramp just around the corner for easy access to the bay and gulf . We just installed 2 DVD players with over 175 DVD’s for you to watch when you just want to chill out we also just got you a new propane BBQ , HYPOALLERGENIC HARD SURFACE FLOORING , Free Wifi , 3 different kind of Coffee makers for all your Coffee lovers

Nick and his wife came to visit family all the way from California with their little skid row dog , they were a lovely coiple and hope to see them again when they visit The fairhope area.

The farm, overall, just makes a person feel at peace. It is quiet, cozy, serene, it is a place of wonder for those who need to unwind. Rachel and Uli and perfect hosts. If you need anything, they'll do their best o make it happen. A huge bonus is that Rachel makes the BEST blueberry muffins to share with you. They grow their own blueberryies, too. Fairhope is a lovely city, with many excellent restaurants. There are many walkable areas too. I cannot wait until next year when I return to this wonderful farm and my new friends.

Dianne drove down from frozen Michigan with her 4 legged companion Clara, the cottage was the perfect fit, and we loved every minute hosting them both. She walked everyday, the horses also loved her ,coming to the door for cookies and attention ! Miss her already and looking forward to next time

We (my spouse and our dog) loved everything about our stay. The cottage was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The farm was so beautiful and peaceful. We felt safe and found everything we needed easily. The hosts, Rachael and Uli, were wonderful and an absolute pleasure to meet. At the same time, they gave us our space and respected our privacy. We would highly recommend staying here, and we plan to return again sometime soon for an extended stay.

Just what we needed.

We needed a short term working vacation while we had some work done on our house. The rental was quiet, very clean and had fast internet. Rachel accommodated our two pets too. Would definitely recommend a stay there.

FABULOUS Rental

This was the BEST vacation rental we've stayed in! My one and only regret is I did not rent the Cottage for our entire stay. If I had known this rental was only about 1/2 hour from Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area, I would have rented it for the week. If you are heading to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach this is the PERFECT place to stay. You can spend the day at the beach and then come "home" to a peaceful, quiet, relaxing evening. I cannot say enough about how nice our stay was! Uli and Rachel made us feel right at home on their farm. Our granddaughter LOVED the farm and wants to plan another stay over spring break.

Sherri and her family especially her grand daughter were extraordinary guests, I too wish they had stayed all week with us, their grand daughter loved horses and was a complete natural, she spent every morning and evening with me and the horses, which I loved as did the horses, can't wait for her to return in the spring, and I hope they have found some riding lessons for her close to home!

The BEST Hosts!

The stay was wonderful! It was like a home away from home...and Rachel and Uli have thought of everything. Hospitality beyond! They are concerned, thoughtful, insightful, and provided many suggestions - from possible venues for our daughter's wedding to good places to eat. The property is quiet and peaceful...cannot think of a single thing we needed. The homemade blueberry muffins made with freshly picked blueberries were delicious! Thank you, Rachel, for blessing us so much! We will be back! (I would give more than 5 stars if allowed!)

5 star farmhouse

We had a wonderful day! Five stars! Rachel and Uli are naturally hospitable. They welcomed us upon arrival, she made homemade muffins for us, brought us champagne on New Year’s Eve, and followed up to make sure we arrived home safely. Uli even made a thumb-drive of common interests music for my husband. Lovely people! The mattress is the best! We slept so well. The house is surrounded gorgeous farmland and I watched their horses, including a miniature horse, many a morning. It was a delight! The kitchen is fully stocked. I’ve never seen so many coffee making options in a VRBO. There was a Keurig (with pods), another pod machine (name-?), a French press, Bialetti stovetop espresso maker, electric kettle, traditional coffee maker, etc. We appreciated how pet-friendly Rachel and Uli are! Grateful for lovely hosts and a beautiful pet-friendly farmhouse!

Lovely getaway. Even if you live on the Eastern Shore

Very peaceful…absolutely enjoyed seeing a gorgeous Danish Warmblood ( I think?) Stallion grazing in the morning dew as the fog lifted. His paddock was just in front of our cottage. Very comforting knowing my fur-babies were welcomed. I just had to convince them the that beautiful stallion was just a very large dog. I did catch a glimpse of an adorable miniature horse but unfortunately he was seen only once along with another horse whose paddocks were further away. Enjoyed Rachel’s herb garden! Hope to come back when I’m healthier & explore the garden & property. To my great frustration, my body wasn’t cooperating with my heart & mind. Highly recommend! Even as a little Mini-Holiday for us locals.

Our stay on this beautiful little fam was lovely. Rachel and Uli were terrific hosts. They were very informative about places to go and things to do in town. We arrived very late and they left the lights on for us and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The bedding was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped to make home cooked meals. They had many morning coffee and tea options. So many nice little touches like fresh flowers, a water bowl and treats ready for our doggie. We enjoyed mornings on the covered porch overlooking the paddocks. The location was very safe and peaceful. Thank you Rachel and Uli for hosting us and the delicious homemade blueberry muffins upon our departure.

As close to perfect as I have ever experienced

There are so many times that we have stayed somewhere that we marked as five stars, but in the back of our minds we had our "buts". Maybe just one or two things that were a bit off. Not this time. What an amazing and wonderful place. Even better were the hosts. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and Rachel had done an amazing job decorating it for Christmas. We had everything we needed, and the check-in and check-out processes were easy. But even better was the kindness and graciousness of Rachel and Uli. Always there for us, whether we had a question, or just wanted to chat. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for an incredible stay!!!

Chris and his wife traveled a long way, Portugal, to stay with us for the christmas holiday to spend time with local family, we wanted to be sure they had all the rest, space, and care to have the best time, making memories for the years to come, it's wonderful to receive such a wonderful review from someone living in such a beautiful, picturesque place as Portugal. Last minute evacuation

We rented last minute to evacuate a hurricane. We found a little gem in this cottage. Rachel and Uli even accommodated us to stay an extra night when we couldn’t go home quite yet. We will definitely book here again the next time we come to Fairhope!

Blissful stay

What a relaxing stay!! The house was stocked with so many extras that enhanced our stay. The beds were comfortable. Rachel checked on us often to see if we needed anything. She even let us come visit the horses. As we checked out she left us the sweetest basket with homemade banana bread and other goodies. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
