Peaceful and beautiful setting

This was even better than the pictures in the listing and was a perfect setting for our group and all our different agendas. Everyone had plenty of space apart or together and Oscar, the property manager made sure everything went great.

Amazing property with stellar views

Fantastic view and great area to unwind in the clouds. House is great. Great kitchen. Pool and hot tub fantastic. Love this place and I’ve stayed at a lot of VRBOs. The only downside is that the house was not air conditioned, which was fine except the screens were poorly maintained so had few insects bites.otherwise a 5.

PARADISE FOUND! This gorgeous house offered a luxurious retreat after each of our day trips. An incredibly special location!! We watched toucans gather each morning in the big tree in the backyard, listened to howler monkeys down in the canyon forest, had beautiful birds perch near the infinity pool, and watched sunsets over the canyon. Such comfy king beds and outdoor showers for each guest room, big gourmet kitchen, and beautiful natural light throughout the house. Oscar was a fantastic guide/driver for our excursions to ziplining in cloud forest, Poas volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, hanging bridges and hot springs in La Fortuna/Arenal, coffee plantation tour and farmers market in Grecia. He took us to the best restaurants and gave us the inside scoop on local cuisine! We took Anne-Caroline's suggestion and had Chef Andres cook for our family, as well as Miguel and Jeanette's massages. This was the most heavenly trip! Thank you Oscar and Anne-Caroline for the best time ever. We will return!

Beautiful home with fantastic view.

The pool/hot tub was a highlight for kids and adults alike, and the view while using them couldn’t have been more spectacular. Lots of room in and outside for relaxing alone or hanging out together. Our walks around the property and the rest of the gated community were lovely, and we spotted a fair number of birds. The grounds were beautifully kept.

Oscar is amazing please use him for transportation, house is amazing. we canceled day trips to stay at the house and enjoy the relaxing view. We never once sat in the living room, the porch is amazing. Best equipped kitchen ever

Wonderful place

The house is beautiful. The owners were very helpful and Oscar the chauffeur was the Best.. Oscar took us to places we would have never found and was so helpful with everything. This is a great place to go. The pool was a little cool but we used the hot tub a lot. You should not miss this one.

Perfect

This house is incredible. Its features with the pool/ jacuzzi overlooking the canyon are amazing. The interior is simple and tasteful. The beds are beyond comfortable and the outdoor showers are to die for. I love this place and we all talked about returning to this house and lovely country again. The Vista de Valle Plantstion Inn is a great little resource as well.

Will be back

Having been to Costa Rica in the past, this house was a perfect way to enjoy the pieces we wanted to re-experience without having to deal with too many tourists. Incredibly relaxing, gorgeous views and unbelievable accomodations. We are avid cooks and after visiting the local farmers markets were perfectly happy to stay in this little slice of heaven and venture out only occasionally. Cannot wait to go back!

Perfect Costa Rican Getaway

Would definitely recommend staying at Villa Las Clementinas! My now husband and I had an intimate wedding in one of the towns close by and hosted our family back at the Villa for a small gathering. The backdrop was perfect and plenty of room for everyone. The house manager Oscar responded right away if I had any questions, and took us out to the hot springs for the day. Chef Andres catered for our family and everything he made was delicious! If you want to experience the laid back, natural vibes of Costa Rica this is the place to stay! Can’t say enough good things about Villa Las Clementinas!

Awesome Home

this home was wonderful ! everything you needed and more. the views were spectacular while having our coffee in the morning. We saw sloths and a monkey at the house, along with several birds and other wildlife species. The house was within easy day trip to the beach, zip lining, hiking, great restaurants, etc. We saw the horse parade in Palermos ,there must have been a couple thousand horses attending, what a sight !

Ah, I am thrilled beyond belief that y'all were able to catch the Tope horse parade on Palmeros. My husband and I went a few years ago and it will go down on the list of the most interesting things I've ever seen in my life. I'm also thrilled that you enjoyed the house. Beautiful home in a great setting

We so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The property manager Oscar was always available to answer our many questions and make recommendations and reservations for various activities . He transported us safely or found someone else to provide that service. He is a real plus for this rental. The kitchen was well stocked and we prepared many meals there and were grateful for the laundry room. Our only complaints would be lack of lighting in the kitchen.

Incredible Property & View

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views are absolutely incredible. We hosted some family and friends who live in Costa Rica and even they were blown away by the property and the view! We also hired the house chef Andre to come in and make a meal for 20 of us. The food was amazing! All traditional Costa Rican dishes! He and his wife were familiar with the house so they took care of everything down to hand washing every dish before leaving! If you are looking for a house to make memories in this is the one you should rent! We cannot wait to come back!

Breathtaking!!!

My friends and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at your gorgeous home in Costa Rica! The pictures didn't do it justice. So beautiful and comfortable. We had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Dan was super helpful with answering questions not only about the house but about places to visit in Costa Rica. Four of us got AMAZING massages that he helped us book as well! We were only sad to leave...and return to the wet and cold weather in Atlanta. But we're all talking about coming back to stay again! Thanks so much for opening up your lovely home to us!!!

Nothing short of magical

Starting with the awesome front door to the incredible view from the pool out back.. the house was incredible in every way. Oscar the house concierge communicated in a timely fashion both beforehand and during our stay. He recommended places to eat & sites to see. He also scheduled Miguel to give us massages. Miguel was excellent!! If you go to the LA Cloud Forest.. ask for Anthony the tour guide. He has incredible knowledge & passion for his craft. Pura Vida!!!

Excellent Review

The place was amazing. It’s great for a family and the scenic views of the backyard is to die for. They have a very large pool and hot tub in the backyard which was excellent. The staff was amazing. The staff set my family up on the zip line excursion and we went to the hot springs. That experience was everything. The prices were great for those experiences. The only thing that is different is that there not a lot of food places near by in which you have to get groceries at Wal Mart. Oscar the guardian of the house will explain that. Besides that everything was excellent and I would recommend this house to anybody who’s visiting Costa Rica.

An experience like we’ve never had!

From the moment we booked, to the moment it was time to leave, everything went smooth! This place was beyond our expectations and then some. We wanted a place that had a homey feel and this place nailed it! From the security guard interactions to the pool guy we felt like we were part of the community. The person who really made the experience great was Oscar. His communication is top notch and his ability to guide you in the right direction made our honeymoon memorable! They have different services they provide with the property which is excellent, and one that we highly recommend is the Private Chef! We think about that experience all the time, he was fun to talk to and the food was amazing! If you are looking to visit Costa Rica please look at a few nights or your entire stay at this beautiful property!

SPECTACULAR

House better than described, spotlessly cleaned and well stocked with everything you might need. Great location, close to San Jose airport, nestled in a remote spot and very safe. Beds are comfortable and pool/hot tub are as amazing as they appear. But the very best asset of this home is Oscar, the property manager. He met us at the airport and transported us to the house. Was our driver every day - on time, great driving - never lost, with a huge clean van. He is a wonderful person and connected us with all of the experiences we were hoping to enjoy. He "knows a guy" and 100% of the time, his recommendations were exceptional. Whitewater rafting, restaurants, shopping and so much more. Recommending every last detail of this vacation to our family and would love to visit again.

Chill in the jungle in luxury

When I searched for the perfect house, which was important to me on this vacation, this one happened to be not only the perfect house, but in the perfect location as well. Easy access to just about anything you would want to do.Three single friends, all needing a relaxing vacation- we could not have chose a more perfect house.Three rooms each with a king bed and a shower and an outdoor shower and a private patio with an awesome view. The outdoor showers are one of a kind. Everyone had as much privacy as they wanted, or could meet up on the huge outdoor deck with the awesome hot tub that waterfalls into the infinity edge, pool, which looks like you could dive off straight into the canyon! It is truly amazing!This house was so awesome, it was hard to leave. We basically chilled a day, went and played today, chilled another day, explored another day,… Again it was hard to leave this house!I took the advice and asked for Oscar! He was about as perfect as the house! He made everything so easy from being there to pick us up at the airport, to take us grocery shopping on our way to the house, setting up a chef for dinner the follow evening And a lovely couple came by the house to give us 90 minute massages for 110! Talk about pampering ourselves! The kitchen was completely stocked, all you needed to bring was food. They even had spices, sugar, TP, etc.The architecture of this house is simply beautiful.Pura Vida!

Beyond Happy!

It's a little scary to leave the country and just HOPE you are picking somewhere nice for your family to stay. We saw the photos listed for this property and thought they were lovely, and hoped we were not taking too much of a gamble! It wasn't a gamble at all! This home is GORGEOUS, spacious, clean, and so comfortable. The owners assured us they had the loveliest backyard in all of Costa Rica and I'd have to say they're correct. The infinity pool and hot tub look out to a valley which was green and vast - at night we enjoyed the city lights, but didn't hear any noise other than some wildlife which made leaving all the windows open a joy. All of the bedrooms have an their own attached bathrooms with an outdoor shower which really appealed to all of us - that's the joy of Costa Rica - enjoying the perfect climate. We were happy to be by the pool all day and at night the temperature dropped to the perfect temperature for sleeping. We were never hot or uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully loaded so eating in would be convenient if that's the route you want to take. There's also nearby restaurants that were delicious and easy to get to. The owners gave us a list, but we found some of the businesses had closed - this didn't prove to be a problem at all though because they had internet access so we could easily search for other restaurants and see their reviews. We traveled quite a bit around Costa Rica and used this property as a home base. We didn't have any difficulties navigating and could easily make day trips and get back home before dark. I cannot state enough how happy we were to stay at Villa Las Clementinas. The owners and their caretaker were very responsive, honest, and good people. I would not hesitate to go back and rent this property - it was one of the highlights of our time in Costa Rica.

Nothing Short of Miraculous

If, as said by Goethe, "Architecture is frozen music," then this house is a symphony. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in a position to be able to stay at this palace, like me you will soon be singing its praises. The intelligence and elegance of this comfortable and magnificent home cannot be adequately described in the limited allotment of this review. When you stay here you enjoy much more than the perfectly tasteful luxuries of the impeccably stocked kitchen, the hardwood floors, and the floor to ceiling glass. The genius of this design brings you right into the middle of the canyon from every spot in the house. You are one with the raptors and songbirds that soar on the updraft that is constantly wafting through and keeping the house at a perfect temperature. You are floating with the hummingbirds and blue morpho butterflies that hoover everywhere. To smell and breathe and become a place is a rare and exquisite experience available only through the kind of brilliance manifested by this magical home. If you can tear yourself away from the home to enjoy all that is easily available from this perfect location, you'll find yourself dreaming of returning, and then hustling back in the evening to catch the bewitching sunset from the back porch perch. This is a home with heart, soul, culture, imagination, understated intelligence. The owners are folks of the highest integrity. Their description of the charms of this home are understated to say the least. The house manager is more than gracious. He instantly makes you feel like you are a part of everything. He seems to know what you need even before you do. The grounds people, neighbors, and townspeople are a pure delight. Rosario itself is a perfectly scaled set of small villages with the quintessential mountain church nestled in and amongst the coffee fincas of the gorgeous Central Valley. This location is the soul of Costa Rica, and the hearts of the people could not be warmer. I only wish there was a rating with twice as many stars. If I were smart, I would keep this perfect rental a secret -- but this is such an incredible place to stay I feel compelled to let the smart traveller know about this true find.

Totally amazing and magical here!!

This house was the best VRBO we have ever been lucky enough to find From day one onward it did the trick for us all The views….the hot tub… the outdoor showers…. The chefs kitchen…. Etc …exceeded all of our expectations!! This place is worth every penny!! I could go on and on and on…. To top it off, Oscar took great care of us!!! We recommend this place 1000% percent!!

Beautiful house with gorgeous views. Very spacious and peaceful location. Encountered remnants of some reptiles .. or birds. Not clear what. I suppose it’s expected given tropical location. Linens could be more fresh. Overall my family enjoyed their stay. Our tour guide Martin was phenomenal!

Loved our stay here. Beautiful home with a fabulous view.

We had an amazing time in Costa Rica. The house manager/driver Oscar absolutely made our vacation. I would highly recommend hiring him if you rent this house. He picked us up at the airport and drove us to all of our day trips. He’s an excellent driver and is a wealth of information. Our 2 year old granddaughter fell in love with him. He arranged everything for us. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed every moment of our trip.
