About this property

Work remote, or not at all, in paradise at this cozy, beachy condo!

Flexible cancellation policy. Futura Yacht Club is an exclusive private, gated resort community. Not like a hotel, FYC is a mixture of renters and owners sharing some great spaces with great amenities. Located directly on the bay with easy ocean access via Snake or Tavernier Creek. The grounds are impeccably maintained with beautiful, tropical plants throughout, pickleball and tennis courts, and a large and inviting pool, pool deck and covered gazebo.

The marina is deep water (boats to 36ft allowed), very well maintained and offers excellent protection from wind, waves and current making docking/mooring a breeze. It also has a well constructed boat ramp making this a great place to launch your boat, clean your fish, watch the manatees or gaze at the awesome sunsets. Overlooking the bay, this area is the perfect place to soak up the sun, read a good book, watch amazing sunsets and count the stars. Guests bringing a boat will have to provide proper insurance to the office and pay a registration fee of $50. Boat slip rental is available on request for an additional rate of $170 per week. Trailer storage is also available onsite for $150.

For the active the pickleball and tennis courts have lights for evening play. The large pool and lounge area also have WIFI in case you have to take a work call while relaxing. There is also a tv for catching your favorite game while playing ring toss. Swim and splash in the warm sunshine with plenty of chaise lounges for everyone. For the relaxed, our marina is equipped with a charcoal grill, adirondack chairs, two hammocks, a fire pit, tiki hut and picnic table, all in front of one of the best sunsets we have found in the keys.

The condo is fully equipped and well maintained. It has a very nice view of the grounds and is only one floor up for easy staircase usage and convenient to the elevator as well. Having the option of both is perfect for social distancing and easy of use. The marina can be partially seen from the balcony and is only a few steps away. Light and bright, the condo is freshly decorated and clean. Enjoy the balcony for breakfast or grill that fresh catch of the day. There is also free community washer/dryer on every floor which is just 6 units.

Bring your computer and keep up with your email. Fast and reliable wifi included. We have a wonderful Publix just a few miles to the south and Winn-Dixie a few miles to the north for all of your grocery needs.

Room next to us and roof being replaced neat pool. That stuff has to happen, I understand but just pointing out that was the only thing that wasn’t so great. The location, grounds and boat docks are wonderful and we would definatly stay there again. The Unit itself is in the tall building on the property and does not have a view of the water. It also backs up to the tennis/pickleball courts which can be rather noisy at times. We wished there were a few more amenities such as beach chairs for off property use and the kitchen equipment could use some updating. Overall 3.75 to 4 stars.

Our family purchased this condo in 2001 as a way to reconnect to our love of the Florida Keys, warm weather, salty air and of course, fantastic fishing. We have created many treasured memories here over the years and it holds a very special place in our hearts. We’d love to share our little piece of paradise with you! We hope you love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

The marina and nearby fishing, snorkeling/diving and lobstering is excellent. My family love to boat, fish, snorkel and they enjoy beautiful warm weather. The tropical paradise affords the best sport fishing in all of the USA. The clear blue waters make snorkeling and scuba diving and fabulous adventure. The waters in the bay is a great place to ski or tubing, find and watch pods of dolphin or just sit and enjoy the most colorful sunsets over the water.

Futura is a beautiful oasis, gated for privacy, well appointed landscape, marina and pool make us feel like we are somewhere in the Caribbean and not in the US. The comforts of the US are all within minutes by boat, bike and car. The unobstructed sunsets at FYC are some of the best. The sun literally melts into the bay sending a cascade of colors across the evening sky!

What makes this property unique

We enjoy the spacious condo fully furnished to meet everyone's needs. Futura Yacht Club offers a large scenic marina, tennis courts, a huge heated pool, volleyball court and a wonderful picnic area right on the bay. FYC is one of the best communities we have found in our 30+ years visiting the keys. The grounds are well maintained and the marina and pool are some of the best we have seen down here.

Near by, the Founder's Park is a wonderful community park with numerous activities for everyone. The condo is so conveniently located to fabulous restaurants (Marker 88 is a family favorite), local breweries, Theater of the Sea, shopping, bowling and movie theaters for evening entertainment. Boating and fishing is at our beck and call. Bring your own boat, hire your own captain or rent by the day. Bicycles are fun too. Boat slip rental is available.
