We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The area is peaceful and quiet. The cabin was just what we needed to escape from the heat back home and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and all there is to do in the Black Hills.

Great location which felt secluded but was also a short drive to the highway and centrally located for ease of traveling throughout the Black Hills. The cabin was homey and well stocked for cooking. Frequently saw wildlife - deer, turkeys, and songbirds!

We loved the property. It was clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay except that it does not have air conditioning. It worked out fine because it did cool off at night and we kept the windows open but it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Other than that, it was perfectly located for our day trips around the area. We would be happy to stay here again!
Great place. Very peaceful even though the Rally was on. Great off roading from the cabin. Turkeys and deer visited us daily. The log cabin interior was authentic.

We wanted to get away from the traffic and tourists and this place was great! Off the beaten path, private and quiet. Deer and turkeys were the only visitors. Cabin was clean and well equipped, very cozy. We will be back!

The cabin's location is great. Off main road with a nice tree lined driveway. The cabin is roomy and has nice decorations. The bed was comfortable. The furniture in the living room area was comfortable and homey. The kitchen is a nice size with room to put up a portable table for guest that were invited for supper. The host was easy to communicate with via phone and email and texting. The only thing I wish was different was the space around the toilet. Otherwise the rest of the bathroom was great. Thank you so much for this cabin. We loved it!

The property is well-kept and a remote location. The mornings are beautiful and serene and the morning walks were amazing. The cabin is well stocked as far as kitchen, bedding etc. Great TV reception and decent cell phone service. I'd stay again.

The cabin was very clean and had all things you would want. Although we only ate breakfast there, it had a full compliment of pots, pans, and dishes. It was very quiet and we saw a lot of deer, bird's and squirrels. If you are looking for a quiet place and don't mind a little drive from the nearest town, I recommend this property.

My husband and I (and our 8 month old daughter) had a great time Memorial Day weekend. It was so quiet and relaxing. We loved cooking dinner and sitting on the porch. Tons of movie selections for when it was time to wind down at night. We loved how close it was to the state parks but far enough to escape the noise! We will 100% try to book this cabin next time we’re in town.

Property clean and cabin well stocked. Some electric issues and some window issues. Saw animsl near property and loved the quite
We loved our stay at the Rustic Roost Log Cabin. The cabin is located 4 miles off the main road. It is peaceful and quite. The road is not paved but easily driven with a car. Along the drive there is a ranch with several Bison. The kitchen had all the amenities. We made breakfast every morning before heading out for our days adventure. Centrally located for trips to the Badlands, Custer State Park, Deadwood, and Mt Rushmore. Only small inconvenience is that the bathroom toilet is wedged in tightly between two walls leaving little room to maneuver.

The stay was great! We had several wildlife (deer & turkey) come to the open grass area each day and a turkey that loved sleeping on the front porch.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was a little out of the way but very quiet and peaceful. The bedroom was great as it provided darkness when the sun came up at 5 am (we were not expecting that). Overall, a beautiful area to go on a vacation with lots of things to see.
Thank you!

Everything was as stated in the listing. The kitchen was very well supplied. Close to all attractions but far enough out to be so very peaceful and quiet. Deer and turkey in the yard every morning. We would definitely come back!
