Farmhouse at the Cove on Lake Mac

The Farmhouse at Lake Mac is truly a historic 1908 farmhouse that was moved to Lake Mac and updated in 1980. We sit just up the hill from Admiral’s Cove resort and Lemoyne Boat Launch and is a short half mile walk to the beach and bar. The covered front porch has views of the lake and sunsets while the walk out apartment has its own entry with so much privacy from the screen of cedar trees surrounding the yard, you’ll feel like you’re all alone!

The apartment has been completely remodeled in 2021 and offers two bedrooms, the master with a Queen bed and walk in closet, and the 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed that features a full and twin. There is also a twin sleeper sofa and a chaise lounge chair. The apartment can comfortably sleep 4 adults or up to 5 with kids.

The kitchen is fully furnished, the living room has a lift up coffee table and 42” tv, plus a dining room table and chairs. The sunroom offers the chaise with an electric fireplace and a 32” tv plus a workout Bow flex Tread Climber. Dish cable is provided along with high-speed wireless internet. A shared laundry room is also available.

The outside patio offers a full living area with a firepit and sun chaise loungers, while cooking outdoors is recommended with the extra-large Blackstone griddle and a gas grill with burners. A lovely garden surrounds the lower yard, which allows plenty of space for outdoor games. With the cedar tree row around the yard it makes for an enjoyable living area typically out of any wind that might come up at the lake.

The backyard area is so large there is even room to park a boat, 5th wheel or midsize motorhome. Electrical (110) and water hookups can be rented in addition to the apartment. It makes for a great family gathering location!

The Owner lives upstairs but is frequently away for work, which will leave the two resident cats, Sammi and Chai, coming and going on their own. This means that your dog is welcome as we love furry friends, provided they are quiet and well-behaved and don’t chase the cats!

I had the most wonderful stay! Danna the host/owner was so helpful and accommodating. The apartment is on the back of the house with its own door and plenty of parking. The only thing I would mention is that the bunk beds in the second bedroom would be a tough fit for a large man.

Wonderful property and hospitality

The unit is immaculate, warm and inviting and there was plenty of space for our 5 person family. The location is peaceful and relaxing -- close enough to the lake and Admirals Cove to have fun but far enough away to get a break from it all. The owner was beyond accommodating and so friendly. It is a great homebase for a trip to the lake.

Farmhouse on the Cove was a beautiful place to stay! Both inside and outside the property was very up-to-date with wonderful amenities not to mention the view of Lake McConaughy. Wonderful stay at the Farm house

Stayed 4 wonderful nights at the farmhouse. Danna is an amazing host and everything was just as advertised. The location was perfect only a few minutes to the lake and boat ramp. The weather and fishing was great. We have been to many great beaches in Florida and Mexico, Lake McConaughy is right there with them. Can’t wait to come back!!

Peaceful retreat

This was a perfect location for a girl weekend. We went to several antique stores in the area, ate at the Driftwood in Ogallala and went to Lake Ogallala to watch the eagles that are prevalent this time of year. And played lots of scrabble. This location is peaceful and is just so beautifully decorated and clean. I would highly recommend this VRBO

Country House Charmer - PERFECT Lake Mac location!

Our family was lucky enough to stay at this newly renovated, walk out apartment in this picture perfect farm house for 5 nights in July! Our wonderful host Danna thought of every detail for the visit, from a keyless door entry, fully stocked kitchen supplies and extra beach towels for fun filled days on Lake Mac! We enjoyed long days at the beach and grilling in the evenings followed by relaxing evenings beside the fire pit watching the stars! Looking forward to many more returns!
