Perfect location and golf cart is a must

Great house and the location was perfect! Added bonus was the golf cart so we were able to navigate town rather easily which made for an even better time! We will be back.

A Summer Gathering

We just love Salado, and we come several times a year to enjoy the peace and quiet. We’ve stayed at the Cabin before and just loved it, and wanted to share the Lodge with friends for our annual Clsn Ross summer gathering. This was the perfect house for that and the host is wonderful!

My family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historic retreat. The creek is refreshing to enjoy for the day and breathtaking at night under the stars. The host was so sweet and very prompt to respond and very helpful. The location is perfect if you would like to walk to shop the local retail and stroll through the beauty of Salado Creek area.

Great place overlooking the creek. Great view. Can listen to live music on the deck overlooking the creek, while eating local pizza. Will come again.

Lovely vacation spot

Sisters trip to Salado and the house was perfect for us. The beds were super comfortable. The living room has large open windows that we loved. Coffee and cocktails right across the street were amazing. Host was delightful to work with and made sure we were fully aware of everything going on around the house. Would stay again and again.

My nieces and nephews live all over Texas and Oklahoma. Salado was central for us all to meet. The Lodge was perfect! Great, clean place. There were 7 of us but could easily have had more of the family. We could walked to all the cool Salado places. The golf cart was an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Hot summer weekend in cool Salado creek side home.

Attended a family reunion at Pace Park, walking distance. Children loved being near Creek. We called it Creek and Cousins weekend.

Perfect spot

We loved our recent stay. Everything was perfect from the comfortable bed and dark room to the view of the stream and loved the convenience of the golf cart! Fully equipped with everything we needed for sure! I was actually very surprised how quiet it was. And the ease of the coffee shop/bar only a few steps away! Just perfect! Would definitely recommend! Will be back!

Reunion of high school friends

Old friends got together to catch up & reminisce. We enjoyed the proximity of this property to the main street and how we could walk to the cute boutiques. The house size was perfect for our little group of 5. Everything was just as it was pictured online.

Perfect weekend getaway

Our Christmas Stroll stay at The Lodge was nothing short of perfection! The convenience of the golf cart was fantastic, although everything was within walking distance—prime location! The abundance of kid-friendly activities, from games at the house to creek exploration and football in the yard, made it an unforgettable experience. The evenings were magical with s’mores and stories around the campfire—a real treat for our city kids. Carol, our wonderful host, added special and thoughtful touches throughout the home. Her excellent communication as we prepared for our stay was much appreciated. We’re already looking forward to making this an annual tradition for our family.

Perfect location for a family girls trip to Salado!

This house was absolutely beautiful! (As another reviewer said, the pictures do not do it justice at all!) The location was perfect both for shopping and eating on Main Street or for sitting down by the creek and watching the children play in the water. The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with live edge woodwork done by the Salado Sawmill Company. Carol was very prompt and helpful with all communications. The golf cart was very useful for getting around town. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. We loved it and will most definitely return to this wonderful spot!

We have lived in the area for many years and had the opportunity to acquire this property that has an amazing balance of quiet beauty sitting next to Pace Park and at the same time have direct access to all the fun things one can do in Salado.

Why they chose this property

This property is in the heart of Salado. Salado has long been a destination just off the IH35 corridor. The Village of Salado has completed a beautiful sidewalk renovation to include lamp posts that light the evenings as you stroll down Main Street. Many events bring folks to the Village - SirenaFest in October, Gathering of the Scottish Clans in November, Christmas Stroll in December, Art Fair in August. Several venues offer concerts and live music.
