The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

This coastal condo is perfect for your next beach-cation! It's well-equipped with everything you and your guests could ever need to spend a carefree and restful vacation. The kitchen has been equipped with all the essentials, including a full-size fridge, stove, oven, coffee maker, and microwave, and a convenient three-person breakfast bar. Don't hesitate and surprise your loved ones with savory meals and beach snacks during your stay. The living area is all about comfort and coziness with inviting furniture and a TV. Then, make your way over to the private balcony and get ready to experience a picture-perfect sun set that will blow your mind! The on-site washer/dryer will make your laundry duties a cinch!

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Don’t Stay Here!!

This was the worst week we’ve ever spent in Ocean City. When we arrived, the place was dirty. I spent my first four hours cleaning. The toilet bowls were brown and barely worked. The handle actually fell off the master on the first flush and we had to have maintenance come. The cabinets had dishes, but that’s about it. We had to go out and buy cleaners, lightbulbs, nightlights, sugar, hand soap , and batteries (for the clock). There were pieces of old games, but nothing nice and complete for the family to play indoors. The balcony screen door was just sitting on the deck. My husband tried to fix it. Thank God he brought his toolbox. He had to use it plenty. The lights just didn’t work in the room my son stayed in. The closets and under the sinks…all of them - were filled with dirty stuff. Everything in the condo was old and dilapidated. We left our trip early when we found a mouse in the room my daughter stayed in. Yes, you read that right. No one came to resolve the mouse issue. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. We had actually stayed in this room years ago and it was in a much better state. The BIGGEST problem was absolutely no WiFi connection. The owners do not have a personal WiFi and you have to rely on public WiFi which was non existent at the end of the building. The kicker is we paid a premium for staying over the fourth. After many many complaints and conversations, no one offered to refund any of our money. It’s worth saying twice…don’t stay here!

Out Dated

If you’re looking for a spot to stay on location alone this is the place for you. Unfortunately the condo was dirty and out dated. The Wi-Fi was worthless and couldn’t use it for anything and the TVs had better pictures back in the late 90’s. There were mice in the condo and they knew about it before we got there and failed to mention it to us. They sent an exterminator to the room without letting anyone know they were coming nor did we give them permission to let someone in our room. The first day my daughter was walking around the condo with two dirty bandaids the cleaning crew must have somehow missed but a 2 year old was able to find the first 45 minutes we were in the condo. In my opinion paying almost $5,500 you should be able to hook the TV up to the internet so the kids can watch something at night before bed. The balcony, dishes microwave toaster and over were all fine in the kitchen. Thought the balcony had enough room for 6 adults to hang out in.

The view is absolutely beautiful. However there is a horrible problem with mice. My husband and son saw a mouse. It was reported. The pest control company came out and set more bait. (Already there. Evidence of it being consumed. ) Coming back from dinner that night there was a dead mouse under the table. On Saturday morning on check out day there was mouse droppings on the counter. Including on top of the toaster. Also on the towel with freshly washed baby bottle, cups and plates. A horrible way to end the trip. We were told a building wide problem. This problem really needs to be addressed. We were planning a huge family vacation for next year. Not really sure now if Golden Sands will be where we will be staying. Plan was to rent 5 to 7 units for the week. I would LOVE to hear from someone regarding this and other issues. Thank you in advance if you respond to this.

not happy with vacasa

Could not get into unit. using keypad. Front desk told us not their problem, contact Vacasa. After several calls trying to change the lock codes, management finally let us in with a key (after standing in a hot hallway for at least 30 minutes). We were able to enter the room but could not leave because the lock still didn't work. After another phone call, we were told someone would contact us (never happened). My husband went to pick up dinner (we couldn't go together-couldn't lock the door) we called again. Finally, after 4 hrs. mgmt. brought up a key but said it was the only one they had (don't lose it). Never received a call from Vacasa to follow up on the issue one way or the other. Property had not handicapped parking. Found a mouse in our room our last night. Not sure I would ever book thru Vacasa again.
