If you are seeking PEACE and SERENITY to rejuvenate and recharge, this Couple Getaway is for you. But...PLEASE inquire before booking as it is impossible to keep up the calendar as it changes by the minute. Thank you. This one bedroom unit has a bedroom with a king size bed. There is one full bathroom and a full kitchen/living area.
This is not just another sweet spot on Lake Norman, but being on a three-mile island –peninsula, it is place where you can hear nature speak and hear yourself think. Being on the main channel, it offers deep water and breathtaking views of the lake. Don't forget your fishing pole.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck that is frequently a landing spot for herons. Although tucked away on this peaceful island, you are only a few miles from the shopping area of Mooresville where there are hundreds of restaurants, movie theaters, music, dancing and all that you desire. The lovely city of Charlotte is only 30 miles so you get the best of all worlds. Kiser Island is just six miles to I-77. It is also only 1 ½ hours to the Smokey Mountains and the charming city of Asheville.

There are two kayaks available for a minimal rental fee.
TV, internet and utilities are included. Linens and towels are provided as well. There is a laundry area with a minimum fee and a laundromat just minutes down the road. You are requested to bring your own toiletries and paper products.
This can only accommodate an individual or a couple and is not a party animal house as it boasts serenity for those who seek solace for a weekend, week or month or more. I offer all as corporate housing as well.
Absolutely no drugs! Smoking is not permitted in the home.
THE DWELLING:
This very large three-story, 5,000-square foot home offers privacy for each guest as there is not even a shared wall as in a condo or apartment. There are several private sitting areas on a patio with one area being covered so the outside can be enjoyed even if raining. The one- bedroom unit, with a king bed, walks right out to the dock just 30 feet away for those who love to swim, fish, boat, kayak or just enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee or the sunset with a glass of wine. There is of course an outside fireplace, gas grill. and a charcoal grill.

THE DWELLING:
This very large three-story, 5,000-square foot home offers privacy for each guest as there is not even a shared wall as in a condo or apartment. There are several private sitting areas on a patio with one area being covered so the outside can be enjoyed even if raining. The two-bedroom unit on the upper level (VRBO 1699120), with a king and twin beds, has its own deck and grill and gives a lovely aerial view of boats passing by on the lake. There is of course an outside fireplace, gas grill. and a charcoal grill.

The unit offers complete kitchens with a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and all you might need to cook at home.The apartment is fully furnished, to include linens and towels and kitchen utensils and cookware. Guests bring toiletries, personal items and all paper products such as toilet paper and paper towels.To assure privacy, the unit has its own private entrance and nothing is shared on the property except for the parking area, the patio which is about 50 feet long (huge), and the dock.

TIE YOUR BOAT to the DOCK You are welcome to tie your boat to the dock per request and there is an extra ramp for your jet ski at no charge. All I can say is....it works! Rarely are two parties on the dock or patio at the same time as often times I have consultants stay here who work 10 or 12 hours days so most of the time you have the property all to yourself if you so choose. I do at times allow families upon request.

EXTRA PERSON and PET FEE There is a nominal extra-person fee after two guests and a pet fee as well, varying on the length of stay. It is 35 per person per night for up to a week, but is reduced for longer stays. The pet fee is 35.00 for one night, 15 for the second night and 10 thereafter up to one week. For monthly guests the pet fee averages 180 or 6 per night, although it may be more for larger pets.

INTERNET and UTILITIES are included, although I do expect you to be energy and environmentally conscious. TVs are also provided. There is a washer and dryer on the property with a small fee and also a laundromat minutes away as well.


KAYAKS are available for a minimal rental fee. $10.00 one time use or 20.00 each for the entire stay.

THE AREA – BEST of ALL WORLDS

If you prefer to eat at one of the many casual lakeside dining establishments, there are many within just minutes of Kiser Island. The Catawba Queen, a cruise ship of the lake, is just a few minutes away as well. The location is the best of all worlds! The serenity of the island, yet within minutes, there are numerous restaurants, theaters, and shopping for all. There are several boat and jet ski rentals within just minutes as well as two well-maintained free launching pads just a mile down the road. I also can get half price on boat rentals for my guests as boats are available. Bordering on Mooresville, Race City USA, there are Nascar museums and wonderful events in Historic Mooresville and the charming community of Davidson, just down the road. Thee is white water rafting and waterfall tours, and just a few miles away is Lake Norman State Park which also offers kayaking, biking, hiking and more for all nature lovers. I do send a list of all rentals and restaurants on the water and in the area, as well as local events and concerts to all my guests.

Kiser Island is less than 30 miles to the charming city of Charlotte, NC and just an hour to the Smokey Mountains and the must-experience city of Asheville, NC and the Biltmore House. Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Love Valley are also just an hour or so up the road!

WHAT IT IS NOT:
Because I promise peace and quiet, no parties or events are allowed. Absolutely no drugs are allowed nor is smoking allowed inside the apartment. It is a healing environment, not a Disney atmosphere, and I am committed to giving all guests a time to be inspired by their own self reflections and the herons visiting on the dock.

VACATION RENTAL AND CORPORATE HOUSING.
The apartment is available both as a vacation rental but also on a monthly basis for those seeking corporate housing as a desirable alternative to a hotel room or extended stay on a noisy freeway. The longer the stay, the better the rate. Being seasonal, the winter rates are obviously lower than the summer rates.

There is an outdoor gas grill and also a charcoal grill if you prefer. (Bring your own charcoal)
For a minimal rental fee there is a canoe, bikes and kayaks available. There is also a boat slip available for !10.00 per night. There are several boat rentals within a few miles.

There is a $250.00 security deposit that will be returned with no damages. This may be waived. I do request a brief conversations with all guests to assure a good match and a most enjoyable vacation.
Pets are negotiable. Please discuss and don't surprise me.
The guidelines on VRBO apply to all guests and agreements. The NC Vacation Rental Statues are enforced for your protection and mine. I reserve the right to evaluate each situation, for example, a single occupant may be a bit less and if there is an extra person beyond a couple, there would be an additional charge. While extended time such as a few months is welcomed, the agreement is as weekly or per week to conform to the legalities of a vacation rental.
