Log Cabin - Mountain Views, 2 mi to Plain, 18 mi to Leavenworth, Stevens 31 mi

We invite you to come enjoy our mountain-side log cabin with a view of the Entiat Mountains, located near Plain, WA. It is set on five acres of woods bordered by 500 acres of US Forest Service land and near our mountain log home located on a separate parcel. Close to hiking trails, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, biking, snowmobiling, horseback riding, sleigh rides, sledding, river rafting, fishing and wind surfing. Located 40 minutes from Stevens Pass. (Sleeps 4)

Plain, Fish Lake and Lake Wenatchee are nearby. If you choose to go out, there are several local restaurants, small shops, a wellequipped market and a wine tasting room in the area.

You will see more wildlife at the cabin than you will see people. The driveway is off a paved road that does not get much use. Access is through a security gate. Come discover and enjoy this special place we call Sunshine Mountain.

No smoking in the cabin, please. No pets, please. Families only, please. We are very concerned about protecting everyone's health and pay attention to proper cleaning protocols.

CURRENTLY WE ARE ONLY RENTING TO THOSE WHO ARE UP TO DATE WITH COVID-19 VACCINATIONS. We must receive documentation verifying that all those staying at our cabin over 12 have been fully vaccinated within 7 days of your booking a reservation.

Please no trespassing on the property to the east of the cabin. The property line is marked with red ribbon.

In the winter you will need AWD and good snow tires to get to the cabin. Snow conditions can present a challenge. We keep the driveway open all winter but if we have new snow or it is icy, AWD and good snow tires will be necessary. Bring chains, they may be helpful. Otherwise you may get stuck and it will take a long time for a tow truck to respond.

Fantastic mountain getaway!

This property is amazing! We had a wonderful weekend here. Only negative was that our car got stuck in the snow on the steep hill near the top. Property owner was super helpful and understanding. Couldn’t have more great things to say about this place. Would rate 6 stars if I could!

Fantastic remote getaway

Our 5 days at the cabin was a perfect getaway for our anniversary! Jim and Gerri were great hosts with plenty of communication and assistance. They checked on us to make sure everything was going smoothly and even graveled the driveway to help us get up to the cabin a bit more safely - much appreciated! The cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and surprisingly big. Great amenities, amazing views, and it was the perfect location for us to explore the surrounding area from Leavenworth up to Lake Wenatchee. This cabin will be on our short list for places to come back to in the summer. Thanks Jim and Gerri!

Amazing location, great host!

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and immaculately cared for. The property is also gorgeous, and has really incredible views of the landscape. It was a perfect place for my wife and I to go and unwind for her birthday. Jim and his wife are great hosts. We had a snowstorm during our visit, and Jim had someone come to plow while we were there so we could still get in and out. He also offered the bring us food in the event that we were snowed in. Overall a great place and great hosts!

Cozy/Comfortable Cabin

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for a weekend in Leavenworth, not too far of a drive. We loved coming back to a nice/cozy place and relaxing by the fire every evening. The views were outstanding in the morning. Highly recommend!

Lovely cabin

The cabin was much larger than I expected and there was plenty of room for both of us. Some little pluses : - no tv in the great room. It helps relax and unplug - light switches are labeled so you don’t have to guess which one goes with which light One thing that was just slightly odd but not really an issue : - there were 2 of us for 2 nights. The cabin came with exactly 2 towels / hand towel/ washcloths and no spares.
