This stunning mountain lodge is located right on the Sacramento River with a fantastic deck overlooking the water and provides Incredible views of Castle Crags! It’s a custom built home with two master suites and additional bedroom, granite counters and fully stocked and equipped kitchen, river rock fireplace, wood floors, huge rec room with pool table and games. Great hiking nearby at Castle Crags State Park, as well as popular swimming holes and world class fishing.

The space
Guests will enjoy the expansive living room with huge river rock fireplace and plenty of seating. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to make memorable meals together! There are two master suites, each with a full bath, and a third and fourth bedroom. The huge recreation room is thoughtfully loaded with games and a pool table. Guests can use entire home and deck.

The home is very close to some amazing places like - Mt. Shasta Ski Park, Shasta Lake, Siskyou Lake, Castle Crags, and Mossbrea Falls. Great food options nearby as well such as, The infamous Yaks on the 5, Dunsmuir Brewery, Burger Barn and for a date night or family dinner you have to try Cafe Maddalena! You will have no shortage of fun things to do, aside from just enjoying the beautiful home right on the river.

*Note:
-You will hear the train so please bring ear plugs for night time if you are sensitive to trains.
-The outdoor fire pit is not for guest use due to FIRE DANGER. No fireworks.
-This home is located directly on the Sacramento River, so please take extra caution with small children.

**Cleaning fee breaks down as follows:
We pay our cleaner $350 per guest stay, and the other $45 covers our administrative fees.

Weekend in Shasta

Guys golf weekend get away

This house was perfect for our guys weekend get away. The large deck overlooking the river, the nice big game room and open living area was perfect for all of us to hang out and have a great time.

Wonderful Weekend

Booked this beautiful home for a weekend with my book club. We were able to make delicious food and drink lounging in our jammies.The river created a soothing background and the house was warm and cozy.

Great location

If you're looking for a quiet, serene back deck beside a river, this is the place! Our second time staying here for the solitude on the back deck along with a spectacular house! Great layout with kitchen, dining and family room all together with double patio doors to back deck. Well appointed & has all the kitchen gadgets needed. Plus huge upstairs play room for additional get away. We love the strolling in the small towns: Dunsmuir & Mt. Shasta. Definitely for the laid back crowd! So relaxing!!

We had a really great time at this house. It was perfect for two families. Kids could play up in the playroom. Kitchen was fully stocked. Look forward to staying there again.

We were very impressed by the house and the cleanliness. The river in the backyard and the train going by multiple times a day was a little rough to get used to and sleep through but the house made up for it. I would recommend the gutters get cleaned as summer starting to overflow and the downstairs toilet to the right of the front door seems to be turning on and off frequently, thank you for the stay and we will more than likely be coming to Shasta again and looking you up. The Best Five days in the last year.

Our family is recovering a loss of a husband, father, grandfather. It happened one year ago the 19th of December. He loved the outdoors so it was a perfect location the river was a delight and best of all the train which he loved train, so every time it passed it felt like he was with us. We truly hope to return possibly next year. Thank you for sharing such a healing place for our family.

Perfect GetAway for family!!

This property was perfect for our family get-away. The layout of the house was great with two master suites, upstairs game room, plus a huge back deck overlooking river. We loved the gas grill PLUS a flat-top grill on the deck. Made for easy meal-prep and great time watching stars. The owners were responsive and helpful. We would love to stay here again.

Amazing Stay

This is a beautiful, custom built home. The river is right behind the property. We enjoyed keeping the windows open to listen to the river flow. We had a large party, so we got a lot of use out the bbq, outdoor griddle, and kitchen equipment/dishes. The home is even better than the pictures. We got immediate response to any emails. We will stay again!

Paradise in Castella!

Such a lovely home on the river with beautiful views and access! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, sat on the deck overlooking the river, visiting Castella State Park and a few stops in Dunsmuir and Mount Shasta. Nice getaway

Beautiful house, super clean, comfy beds, amazing deck overlooking the rushing upper Sacramento river. Fun rec room with bar, billiards, and card table. Just 10 minutes from Dunsmuir which has all the essentials, and there's a nearby mini-mart for beer runs. Really nice view of Castle Crags from the deck. We did struggle with slow wifi and weak cell coverage; probably not the best choice for remote work, but ideal for getting away from it all. Thanks for a great weekend!
