The cabin was great. Had pretty much everything you needed. It was very clean and was very quiet. We didn’t spend much time outside as it rained but it was a great place to spend a rainy afternoon with a good book and a cup of tea.

Great Place!

Perfect place to stay if coming to Lake Chickamauga to fish. Host we're very friendly and helpful. Good place to get away from everything and still only 10 minutes from town and the lake.

Really nice cabin

In town for a week long volleyball tournament, this cabin was a much better choice than staying at any of the hotels in the area. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Would totally stay here again if we need to come back.

We had a great stay, the property was as advertised. Very clean, comfortable and convenient. Just a short drive to the boat ramp and to town. Boat parking and charging outlet were definitely a plus. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful retreat

Relaxing getaway

Quiet Cabin

Came up for a high school fishing tournament with my son. Was 10 minutes from Dayton boat ramp, was clean, quiet, and had parking for our boat. Only cons were it was pretty small so had to bring an air mattress and it did not have a washer and dryer (unless I missed it). Overall great place to get away!

Father / Son hiking trip

The cabin was exactly as advertised. It was clean and everything was ready for our stay. This was my second time using a VRBO in this area and by far this one was in every aspect superior to the other one. The price was excellent and myself and my son had an great time. Stayed there for fishing tournament

Great set up and very convenient in location to Dayton boat dock. Parking is set up to be able to charge your boat. The location is very private. I would highly recommend!

Needed some peace

Very beautiful and comfortable little cabin. It was clean, decorated very nice, and most of all PEACEFUL! We got exactly what we needed for our vacation after several bad experiences at a few other VRBO rentals earlier in the week. Will visit again.

I am a retired structural engineer with a doctorate in law. The concept for this mountain cabin in the woods came from my grandson, Mason "Bullseye" Miller who has a passion for drawing comic books, and creating artful things. It is a combination of rustic styling, combined with modern conveniences and provides comfort, privacy, and security. My lovely wife, Terri, named our place "Rocky Ridge", after our Bull Mastiff - "Rockwell" . . . a/k/a "ROCKY".

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We came across this property by pure luck and The Grace of God! While visiting our friends, The Swaffords, we accidentally stumbled onto this land and were immediately enchanted. It has the look, feel, and even the smell, of property in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Missouri that my grandfather bought for me the week I was born. I loved the land, but I had to sell it to take care of my parents. I hated to lose my birthright but it was more important to me to care for my parents properly. God gave me another chance!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Here, on our Mountain, we have peace and quiet, lots of wildlife, and a certain amount of isolation and privacy. However, we are geographically located between Dayton and Pikeville, which means quick and easy access to both towns, in only minutes, down good highways. There are so many attractions within a short drive, such as forests, State Parks, wilderness preserves, vacation attractions, natural wonders, and much more, and most of them are free admission. We are located on the historic "Trail of Tears" and this land was a Native American healing encampment during the forced relocation of the Cherokee.
This land was occupied by the same family, since before good, detailed records were kept. The previous resident, Glen Chapel, lived on the land for 94 years! We were fortunate to acquire it from his gracious family, after his passing. One curious note: Mr. Chapel died in 2017, exactly on the date of my birthday! If that isn't fate, what would you call it?
