Look no further than our First Lake Retreat Custom Built Chalet located in beautiful lower Hollywood Hills one block from First Lake with deeded Lake Access and dock on a private sandy beach and DIRECT Snowmobile trail access to trail 4. WHATS INSIDE OUR CHALET?
Our chalet features 3
bedrooms, two unique living rooms, 3 FULL baths for those busy mornings and a well equipped chefs style kitchen made for entertaining large groups and cooking meals big or small. Two unique primary bedrooms have their own on-suite bathrooms with a large main level bathroom for the other guest bedrooms. Step onto our 700sq/ft deck and enjoy the wilderness and seasonal views of 1st Lake. We have been coming to Old Forge for 30 years and we built in the best location for all seasons!

ALL ABOUT OLD FORGE:
Enjoy the Fulton Chain of Lakes only a block from our home in the Beautiful Hollywood Hills area of Old Forge. Two Minutes to downtown Old Forge which offers over 20 shops and stores. Many great restaurants and recreation for the family. Spring, Summer and Fall Old Forge Lake Cruises can take you on a 14 mile round trip down the Fulton chain of lakes. Take a ride on the Adirondack scenic railroad for pristine mountain views of untouched nature. Take a stroll through town where Ice cream shops line the streets. Take the kids (big or small) to Calypsos Cove where you can ride bumper boats, go-carts and play in their large arcade.

Take a stroll to our community private sandy beach on 1st Lake. Large Deck overlooks the woods. Great room offers 27 foot vaulted ceilings and a large river-stone fireplace. Lounge area with 40' Plasma TV and folding poker table. Come enjoy your Old Forge Vacation with us. I guarantee you will come back again and again to this something-for-everyone town.

FOR OUR WINTER GUESTS:
We offer the best snowmobile trail access with the best location in the Old Forge Area. Snowmobile from our front door to hundreds of miles of beautifully groomed trails. Multiple access points means trails are at your fingertips all season long. If skiing (downhill or cross country) is your thing then take a trip to McCauley Mountain located 5 minutes from our house. Want bigger mountain skiing? We are only 45 minutes from Gore Mountain. Automatic generator system ensures your comfort no matter what mother nature throws our way. Larger trailer parking is available around the corner from the house.

This was our second annual snowmobile couple getaway in Old Forge and this chalet did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped into this property we were in love. The Christmas decor was still up and it just made it even more special. The kitchen was stocked, the rooms were all very clean. The sheets were cleaned and ready to make our beds.The owners were kind enough to search for our friends wedding ring after we left, which thankfully he found.The one and only complaint we have is that the weather did not cooperate for us. We were unable to snowmobile :( . We made the best of it, played games, shopping in town and having a delicious meal at Billy's and the best breakfast at Ozzie's. We highly recommend this property and we will be back next year!!

From start to finish everything about this place was fantastic. Owner was very responsive to any questions and everything was top notch and it was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Great location too. Very close to everything.

This beautiful home up on the hill is in a neighborhood, but it's secluded within trees so it feels very private. Came home to a doe chilling by the fire pit one day, which was delightful. It's close to town but nice and quiet. We took jaunts up to Inlet for some extra shopping, and did a boat tour of Raquette Lake, and had a wonderful time.

Beautiful home!

Beautiful home, beautiful furnishings, beautiful setting! This home is stocked with EVERYTHING you need to enjoy your stay in Old Forge. And plenty of room, too! We enjoyed hiking, biking, boating and just relaxing with our family. Tony and Bonnie were great to work with. It was the perfect getaway!

Very beautiful!

This house is absolutely beautiful. It is true to the Adirondacks. It had everything and more of what we needed for a comfortable weekend. It was about a 20 minute walk to town. The house was very clean and stocked with all the essentials such as coffee, toilet paper, snacks, dishes, utensils, cups, glasses, pans and so much more. I am very picky about the houses that I rent and this did not disappoint. Just book it. Also had a high chair and a baby gate. P.s. great wrap around porch..

Snowmobile Trip

The House is top-notch and has a lot of room for everyone and is on the trail. Do not plan on having more than one truck and 2 place trailer in the driveway. We had to back down the dead-end road to unload, due to no place to turn around. Parking at Water Saffari was great and did not have any problems leaving our truck and trailers there, but make plans ahead of time for unloading. It's a process. Overall a great time in a very nice house.

Summer Vacation

We had a great stay at this immaculate home! Upon entry, we all agreed at how clean and beautiful it is! We had kiddos ranging from 2-8. We are somewhat locals to this area so we had plans set in place for most days! We did not end up going to the private beach as we found being close to the playgrounds at inlet and OF worked better with our littles. The homes location is very much up on a hill from Hollywood so longer bike rides with littles was difficult but they made due with the road the house is on! The neighbor was lovely across the road. The homeowner was very efficient, kind, and understanding with answering questions and trying to problem solve when anything came up. The kitchen is full of any cooking tool you need and has a dishwasher! There was plenty of room on the deck to eat outside every day, we even had a tree frog come and hang out with us for a couple days! In the summer you can’t see the water but you can hear it 🚤 😍. I’d love to see the view in the fall/ winter! I would say the property would be perfect for families with older children verses younger, more rambunctious little cousins just due to being up on the hill they got a bit restless at times (but that’s always a preference thing and not all kids act as ours do haha)… the separate living room is great and was nice to separate everyone at times. Overall it was a great experience and we are so grateful for our little get away! Thank you, thank you!

My kids favorite place this far

We stay in the Old Forge area each fall (or more frequently sometimes) , and seemingly in a different property each time. This house was definitely a 'fan favorite'! There are 8 of us and we all had more than enough room, beds were great, kitchen was great, etc. The kids are already asking if we can go back for a longer stay the next time. Thank you!

Making family memories

This home is astoundingly beautiful. The decor is perfect for the location. The kitchen has everything you need for meal preparation. Having two living areas gave people choices of a quiet place to read, watch television, or play games. We had an amazing time bonding with each other and this home made this very easy.

Old Forge is my favorite destination of all time. I am glad to be able to share my home with many great family's who enjoy all the Adirondacks have to offer... no matter what season.

Why they chose this property

The people are great, the local food is excellent, and the views in every season are quite spectacular. Old Forge is a truly affordable vacation spot. There is so much to do in the area its impossible to bore yourself. We built the house from 2004-2005. We chose the neighborhood cause it was quiet, close to town, and close to the lake. Old Forge has something for everyone. I am big into snowmobiling and we have direct trail access to hundreds of miles of beautiful Adirondack Seclusion.

What makes this property unique

The house was designed with family, relaxation and all the great comforts in mind. Every room in the house carries its own theme so you don't fee like you are staying in a cookie cutter rental. We enjoy the snowfall in the winter, the great foliage in the fall, Whitewater rafting in the spring, and summers bring some of the best day and night weather in all of New York.
