Carrakey Cove on Lake Keowee is a high-end craftsman style lake cottage nestled in a private natural reserve setting along the calm shores of Lake Keowee offering guests beautiful and relaxing spaces to enjoy vacation with family and friends. The main level of the home features a master King suite with beautiful views of Lake Keowee and an en-suite bathroom as well as another bedroom with 2 custom built in twin over full size bunk beds, which are adjacent to a half bath. The master suite has an attached bathroom with large custom shower and large closet. There is a large pantry, laundry area and half bathroom upstairs. The upstairs living room with vaulted ceilings is open to the well stocked kitchen with a large dining table creating a great space for your family and friends to gather, cook and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. The porch off the living room offers amazing views of Lake Keowee and is a great place to unwind after a day on the lake.

The downstairs features two master King suites (each featuring en-suite bathrooms as well)with beautiful views of Lake Keowee with large sliding glass doors that lead outside. Both master King suites have their own attached bathroom with large custom shower, large closets. The downstairs living room with large TV with satellite has beautiful lake views and a large sliding door that leads out to the outdoor patio with lots of seating.

The outdoor areas offer many ways to enjoy Lake Keowee. There is a porch off of the main level of the home with a gas grill and seating to enjoy the lake views. The patio off of the downstairs living room of the home also features lots of outdoor seating. Following a path from the downstairs patio leads you to the fire pit overlooking the lake -the perfect way to end the day by relaxing and making s'mores! The large dock has plenty of space to tie up your boat. The dock also features a swim ladder to make entering and exiting the lake easier. There are two kayaks available on the dock for guest use.

Carrakey Cove is the perfect place to unplug, relax and spend time with your family or friends. When you’re not enjoying the outdoors, this rural retreat features two large screens with a DISH satellite TV network of 240 channels as well as a DVD player and library. However, please note THE SATELLITE WIFI NETWORK IS LIMITED TO USE FOR BASIC COMMUNICATION, SUCH AS TEXTING AND WIFI-ASSISTED PHONE CALLS, but is not able to be used for Zoom and other streaming video content. We recommend that you download any content you would like to access on your device prior to your arrival. (The closest Starbucks with wifi is 15 minutes away.) Of course, guests may download/upload content by cellular wireless. Cellular wireless reception varies by carrier, but we have experienced good signal strength inside the main level and on the deck.

Beautiful

Beautiful place. Accommodations were great. It is a hike to the lake, impossible to carry a full cooler. Had everything we needed except soap in all the showers. They do not provide so make a note to bring some.... No close grocery stores. Otherwise, perfect.

Best VRBO house I’ve ever stayed at

This house is amazing. Everything is new and the offerings are premium and high quality. They had everything there to make us feel at home and we enjoyed staying in to cook and enjoy the property. Outside, the patios, fire pit and dock was very well put together and offered great views of the beautiful lake. My family is already asking when we can come back for our next special occasion. Check in was really smooth and Jill was super attentive and helpful throughout my stay. Amazing overall and we will be back!!

Clemson Graduation

We had a wonderful stay. It was the perfect, peaceful spot for celebrating our daughter’s graduation. It was an easy 20-30 minute drive to Clemson University. Well equipped and many spots to escape and ulenjoy the view .

Beautiful Home on Quiet Cove

This is our 3rd vacation on Lake Keowee and this was the nicest house we’ve rented. The house is very clean, has a great layout, and is tastefully decorated with very comfortable furniture (inside and out). It’s perfect for multi-families/couples as there are 3 en-suite bedrooms and 1 large bunk room. All en-suites were equally nice and spacious, so no arguments over who gets the nicest room! The house was well equipped with single kayaks(2), paddleboards(2), cooking utensils, toilet paper, towels, hair dryers, dish and laundry detergent, and a basket of personal items if you forgot anything. We were especially pleased with the quiet neighborhood. With the houses being close together (especially on one side), and construction going on, we were quite surprised on how quiet and private it felt. Parking could be an issue for larger parties. For us, it was not a problem, because we only had two cars. But that’s about all that will fit if you do not want to have to back down the long steep driveway. There is a parking area at the bottom of the driveway, but you need that to turn around. A parking area mid-driveway would be beneficial. You are warned of limited Wi-Fi by owner. Basic Wi-Fi is available, but no zooming or streaming. However, the basic service was slow and very frustrating at times when websites would not load. I used my hotspot because it was faster and that was adequate. However not all in our party had good cell service so this may not be an option. The location is good (15 mins to Seneca, 25 mins to Clemson), but the cove the house is on is not the pristine crystal-clear emerald waters I am used to on this lake. While the water is clean (you can see your legs when swimming), there is a brown cast to it. Kayak a quarter of a mile though, and you reach the crystal-clear water. This bothered me when we first arrived, but by the end of the week, it was less important, and it won’t be an issue for people renting in cooler months! Communication with the management company was good.
