We had a wonderful stay in Eastern Market! The home was lovely, and the location was ideal—close to the Metro and plenty of restaurants. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the host was very responsive. We would happily stay here again!

Amazing property in an incredible neighborhood

This VRBO rental was truly fabulous. The home was well equipped and beautiful and is located in a great neighborhood with grocery stores and restaurants just a 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend staying here.

A gem in Capitol Hill

Location is wonderful for walking to the market and restaurants on 8th St. So close to everything! We were there in the fall and the the trees were golden! A very comfortable place to spend a long weekend!

Beautiful house, great location

Great house in quiet area, in a section of Capitol Hill that is very beautiful, but also close to the shops at Eastern Market (convenient to Metro, too) and the restaurants and bars on 8th St. We walked to the National Gallery and other museums on the Mall, but it was also so much fun to just walk around Capitol Hill.

Comfortable and well-appointed

Was a snap to work with the owner when we could not figure out the AC system. Changed it for us remotely! How cool is that? I had to do a lot of work and I really appreciated the large external monitor that was available to me (including an HDMI cable) in the study/second bedroom. Kitchen was the nicest I have been in. Fresh, updated, sunny, usable. If only on-site laundry was included, this would be the only place I would stay on my frequent visits to DC.

Beautiful Property l-Great Location

This is a lovely row home in a nice neighborhood and conveniently located. We enjoyed our stay until the thermostat for the heater stopped responding and we spent our last 2 nights in a cold house. Management tried to fix it but the problem continued. This is the only reason I didn’t give this property 5 stars.

The property needs better maintenance. We stayed for 6 nights, and on the first day we reported that the kitchen sink/garbage disposal was not working properly and water was backing up, making the kitchen sink difficult to use normally. The host asked for video evidence, which we provided through the Vrbo message thread. The host promised multiple times to coordinate with or send a handyman, but no handyman ever came and the issue was not repaired before checkout.The weather was hot during our stay, but the issue was not just the outside temperature. The first floor cooled properly, while on the second floor the air was barely blowing at all, especially in the master bedroom. That made sleeping upstairs uncomfortable. We reported the upstairs/bedroom AC issue before checkout as well.The shower faucet also did not fully switch to the showerhead. The bedding was synthetic and did not breathe well in the heat, and the pillows/linens felt mismatched rather than like a properly prepared set. The unit overall felt old and poorly maintained, with sticky doors and noticeable smells.The host responded and did not deny the issues, but the promised handyman never came and the problems were not fixed during our stay. After checkout, I contacted Vrbo support because the reported issues had remained unresolved, but the host did not offer partial reimbursement. Overall, the unresolved maintenance issues affected normal cooking/cleaning, showering, and sleeping.

I am so sorry we were not able to fix the issues mentioned during your stay however, rest assured it's been fixed and I've found a work around to get a schedule with my handyman in a more timely manner to ensure guests are assisted asap for a more comfortable stay.

Fantastic Location, Nicely Updated

Property is nicely located within a 5 minute walk to restaurants, Trader Joes, metro station and about 1 mile to the Capitol and Supreme Court. The property has been renovated with nice finished and amenities.

Beautiful home

We loved this home. Beautiful decor, elegantly furnished. Great location! Le Pain Quotidien is around the corner and has lovely breakfast and bakery options.
