The house, living space 200m2, can be reached from the airport in one hour. It has fantastic views in all directions. Have a look on Google Earth to explore surroundings, it is verey interesting...
On the ground floor a large kitchen, a bedroom for 2 persons with AC, and a shower room. Extra charge for AC:30 cent/kWh to pay on Site.
Upstairs 2 double bedrooms with AC, one with a roof terrace, and a full bath. The pool 8mx3,50m is secluded and an impressive holm oak, as well as a number of plants lining the area. An awning provides shade.
The kitchen is extensively equipped, in the living area there are seating for 6 people, satellite TV, CD player and several CDs, free Wi-Fi. Cot, high chair and toys are available. In winter, a wood stove in the living area provides sufficient warmth.
6 sunbeds with cushions, an outdoor table, chairs for 6 people, a brick barbecue. Pure relaxation. And a terrific view, no one can see the villa and the pool.

This property is simply gorgeous! The pictures really don’t do it justice. Very spacious and everything you need. The hosts and housekeepers are both super quick to respond if you need anything.

Simply stunning

We booked to stay her for 1 week with our 3 children ages 12-15 and it did not disappoint!There aren't alot of recent reviews so we were a bit concerned but we had nothing at all to worry about.The communication with the owners was perfect with them ensuring our arrival and ensuring we had no issues throughout our stay.The villa is absolutely stunning with the most picturesque views surrounding!The road is a little more off road but totally worth it for the views!There is WiFi available for the kids.The villa is clean and has everything you need to accomodate your stay.The surrounding areas have lots of places to explore, with nearby towns such as Riogordo,Benamargosa and Comares!Comares is highly recommended to visit! Overall this has been a perfect holiday for our family and we cannot wait to book again for next year !

We have just returned from a fabulous stay in this very spacious well equipped finca set in an amazing location. I cannot do justice to the views in words. They are 360 degrees and astonishing. Although there are a few properties nearby, nothing overlooks any part of the garden, and there is not a single sound except for the cicadas, so it feels as though you are miles from anywhere. The property has everything that you need to just relax and hang out by the lovely pool, or you can check out the local area and coast. Malaga and Granada are relatively short drives away if you want to take in some sight seeing and culture. We did both and even hired a boat from the marina in La Herradura. The finca has nets on the windows and air conditioning in the bedrooms. That combined with the comfortable beds meant we slept very well even considering how hot it was. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for a family, and the separate laundry is excellent. Dorothea was a great host and attended to the few needs we had very quickly. My one word of advice would be to get a decently powered car as the fantastic hilltop location comes at the expense of a very steep access road! Overall I would recommend Casa Los Frailles to anyone, and would definitely stay there again.

Casa Los Frailes July/August 2021

Very comfortable, large villa with insect-proof windows. Amazing view around the house on the hills and mountains. Location on a hill causes good ventilation by summer breeze from various directions. Well-maintained, economically irrigated garden with a large variety of cactuses, succulent plants, yuca's, shrubs etc. The vegetation around the house and swimming pool has a cooling effect and adds to the experience!

Wonderful house with fantastic views

We spent two weeks in this amazing house. The house is set in a beautiful location if you like being away from the crowds and has fantastic views from every aspect. Swimming pool is wonderful and my daughter spent most of her time in it!! House has excellent facilities and is fully equipped so you dont need to venture out if you want to totally relax. Dorothea was a great host and I would recommend staying here. We will definitely go back.

Tranquilidad, buen tiempo y piscina.

Nos alojamos para poder pasar unos días de desconexión y disfrutar del sol, la zona es muy tranquila y puedes salir a hacer alguna ruta por los alrededores, sitio ideal para la actual situación ya que estas apartado y no tienes masificación de ningún tipo, la anfitriona muy amable e interesada por qué pases una agradable estancia.

Muy agradable

Hemos estado una semana allí y ha sido muy placentero. Los únicos puntos negativos son la presión del agua para ducharse (apenas hace que salte el calentador y sale fría) y el camino hacia la casa que es un poco peligroso. La piscina, las vistas y la casa, muy buenas. En general una visita positiva.

Gracias por su bueno comentario. La bomba para la presion de aqua no functionó correctamente y fue reemplazada. El camino hasta la casa es empinado pero no peligroso. La mayoria de las huespedes se acostumbran a esta situation.

Super Urlaub auf einer tollen Finca

Wir waren Ende September , Anfang Oktober 14 Tage in dem sehr schönen Haus und haben bei super Wetter, die besonders ruhige und schöne Lage und den tollen Pool genossen.Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Ein rundum sehr schöner Urlaub, in einer sehr empfehlenswerten Finca.Vielen Dank nochmal an Familie Nitschke ,wir buchen gerne wieder bei ihnen. L.G.

perfect, private getaway.

We have just returned from our stay at Monte de los Frailes. This is a wonderful villa in a beautiful location with glorious grounds. The villa is very well equipped (possibly the best we have ever stayed in) and provides a great amount of cooking facilities. The villa is very spacious and very well presented with lots of artistic touches, the gardens are beautiful with many mature cacti, a haven to instantly relax within. If you are looking for a private, un-overlooked villa with great views and space then you have found it. The owner is really helpful and we really did have a truly lovely stay. Like any rural mountain villa the water supply can be a bit limited at times but nothing that hinders the experience. A car is a must if you are looking to stay, I would also advise that you choose a hire car with a good size engine as the approach to the villa is quite steep at times and our fully loaded car only just made it up the track with it 1.2L engine, so defiantly pick something larger. We were very sad to leave when we had too.

Urlaub auf dem Sonnenhügel

Unsere vierköpfige Familie hat sich in dem äußerst gepflegten Haus (und Außenbereich) sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einweisung war bestens und das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Auffahrt zum Haus für Flachländer ungewohnt aber gut machbar. Alle Ziele in der Umgebung sind gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen und absolut sehenswert. Wer sich von der Ruhe lösen kann, sollte unbedingt die Strände in Maro und Umgebung besuchen. Vielen Dank , wir empfehlen das Haus weiter!

Was für ein Urlaub

Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und ist wunderbar ruhig gelegen. Der Ausblick von den Terrassen wahnsinnig. Wer gelaxen, will ist hier richtig!
