The back door never locked. There was no instructions on the use of the TV. We just wanted to watch NBC, ABC, or CBS.

A few corrections for future guests: -The back door locks just fine. We didn't hear a word about it until the night before you left at 5:35pm, and we replied at 6:05pm with clear instructions on how to lock it. Thirty minutes is a pretty respectable response time, especially for a question that apparently weighed on you for your entire stay without ever making it into a message. We're available to every guest who asks, but we can't read minds. -We don't offer cable, and we stand by that since it's no longer 1995. The TV has a Roku, which streams NBC, ABC, CBS, and just about everything else that's been invented since the VCR. Had you sent us a quick message, we would have gladly shown you how. Instead, it seems the TV got two stars' worth of blame for a question nobody asked. -We were also a little surprised by the rating, since on your way out you told us "it was a terrific place and we all enjoyed our stay." We're so glad you did. We just wish the review had remembered it too. >>To future guests: this is a home, not a hotel. If you have a question, ask. We respond quickly, the door locks, and we know how the TV works.

Cabin was nice, neat, and had everything we needed. Great location with a nice peaceful backyard. Easy to get to Trumansburg and Ithaca. Bring slippers in cold months!

Overall nice place.Cabin inside was nice and clean.The grass was very high when we arrived which was disappointing but we realized that the area must have has a substantial amount of rain recently because the yard was extremely wet. It rained A LOT on our first full day there which didn't help any. The grass did get mowed a couple days later and the yard looked much better.The deck needs a very significant amount of work and the landscaping needs lots of attention.We liked the privacy of the cabin because even with the neighbors not far it was a rather private setting. Once the grass was mowed we saw bunnies, groundhogs, birds and even deer in the yard.

Nice place, great location

Enjoyed our stay. Clean and cozy. All necessities are supplied. Couple sticky doors and the deck could use a fresh coat of stain but no big deal. Would stay again. Close to everything the area offers

Overall a very nice cabin in the countryside. Very peaceful property with a nice outdoor atmosphere, especially at night. Top of the line mini-split AC units in each room, a spacious living room and a capable kitchen. You really don't need any more than that.

Great place to stay near our famil

We spent several days here while visiting with our family who live in the same neighborhood. The house was very comfortable and clean. It is also very conveniently located just minutes from downtown Ithaca, or any of several state parks. It's just a great getaway spot!

Perfect!

Great stay for a Cornell Law graduation. The cabin was very clean and super comfortable. Relaxing, and it was wonderful to look out at the rolling hills in the backyard. Homey, warm, inviting. Wish we could have stayed longer. We really loved it!

Perfect little spot

The property was super comfortable and clean and perfect for our group. We utilized the fire pit our back in the evening (which was already stocked with wood). I have never seen so many fireflies at one time in my entire life. It was close to Seneca and Cayuga lakes and all the wineries and breweries.

We loved the location of the cabin. Very close to many of the waterfalls including the Watkins Glen State Park. The cabin was perfect for 3 adults beacuse we each had our own bedroom. My teenage grandson enjoyed the loft area which also has a bathroom. It was like a mini apartment for him.

Cozy Cabin Near Ithaca

Great log home minutes from downtown Ithaca (and even closer to Ithaca Beer Co. which is a great place for food and drinks). Owners were very responsive and provided everything we needed for our visit. Loved the property - really enjoyed the fire pit and stargazing from the back yard was terrific. Highly recommend for families or up to 3 couples traveling together.
