Great Time

Seriously loved that this property had something for everyone. Golf was a hit with the older kids and husband and swimming and park was a hit for the 2 year old. State Park within 30 mins was awesome. Had a really nice time.

For young kids and families

Not a bad place to stay however it is in the middle of nowhere, no offense to whoever lives around there. We booked it as a fun place to stay between Chicago and Starved Rock State Park. We stayed in an almost empty section of the resort that managed to still be somewhat noisy but that was because a family group with lots of kids were having fun outside. Good for families with young kids as there are many activities to keep you busy. I think my kids were too old (17,18) to enjoy what it offered, or possibly too tired from hiking.

Host and property were excellent

HOST provided excellent customer service. We had to change the check in person from me to my daughter because my wife was ill and we could not go as planned. It took over 20 minutes but Andre and the LUK team got it done. The PROPERTY is part the the Holiday Inn Vacation Club. It was excellent in every way and it comes with the amenities that go with a resort. We are planning to make this an annual get together for our family.

Fun for family!

This is part of the Holiday Inn vacation club, which was not listed in the VRBO listing. It made check in really confusing on where to go. I didn't book with Holiday Inn, so I didn't think that was where I was suppose to check in. The kitchen has bare minimum. Bedrooms are great. The Holiday Inn has lots of amenities you can use in addition to going to Pirates Cay. Lastly, I messaged questions for wifi, highchair and pack n play for my baby, never got a response. Communication overall wasn't great.
