We stayed Mar 1-5 and enjoyed the beautiful property of 6 acres. The upstairs rooms and area are very nice even tho the stairs were hard to maneuver for us old people. My husband and I (ages 88 and 89) stayed in the downstairs bedroom so we didn’t have an issue with the stairs. If you want quiet country living this is for you.

We had a great stay overall. The space was beautiful, well laid out, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The home itself was spacious and worked perfectly for our group. The only minor drawbacks were that there was no blender in the kitchen and communication with the owner was severely lacking, but neither took away from how much we enjoyed the property. We would absolutely consider staying here again.
Sunset Grove was the perfect spot for our family to meet up for a visit! The grounds are gorgeous and offer a great family experience. We had ages 5 yrs- 66 yrs and all had fun visiting, fishing, playing soccer and ping pong, and cooking on the BBQ.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Grove! Cajun/Creole foods, Zydeco, charter fishing, shopping in Lafayette, crawfish, swamp tour. Although humble, the house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The acreage that the house sits on is awesome!

Unfortunately, our experience was very negative. We arrived to a home that was not clean and dirty sheets on beds. There was also a problem with the bathroom sink leaking which had made a mess
Our stay was amazing! Great views, great location. The house itself was wonderful! It was cozy, had things to do, and fit our needs. I will remember this place for the future!
Loved this property. Amazing grounds, plenty of space and activities for our family. We were in town from Houston for my dad’s funeral. The space provided a necessary solitude when needed. This is a gem in Opelousas. This property provided necessities my family needed during this difficult time. Thank you.
I like it was gated but didnt like that i always had to open and close the gate. The house was unique and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the property immaculate. Communication with mgmt was easy as was fhe instructions to connect to the wifi, enter and exit. I would definitely recommend staying here again.
The home was cozy and we had plenty of room. The location was great. The grounds were amazing and we played lots of ping pong on the terrace. Thank you.
This property is amazing! Beautiful home and beautiful grounds. We came in for a concert in Lafayette, and this was just 25 minutes away! Perfect for our group. Loved the screened in porch!

This stay was just what me and my sisters needed. A cabin stay. It garnered closeness, good laughs, and good food for us. Our daughters who are teens and young adults loved walking the land and doing cheerleading practices outside. Thank you for lending us you beautiful home for the weekend.

Lots of room
Great location property needs some improvements . Not a great place for individual with disabilities. Bad smell coming from the downstairs bathroom was worse after it rained.
We hosted my best friend's wedding here, and the property was perfect for the occasion! Lots of places to take wedding pictures and just enough space for an intimate ceremony. The bridal party stayed for 2 nights and had a so much fun they did not want to leave. My only complaint was that I wish the place had been a little cleaner. But at the end of the day it wasn’t bad enough to ruin our trip. Would definitely consider going back!
Should have left a review earlier for our stay in July! Lovely and interesting property. All amenities provided, comfortably housed 6 with full kitchen and then some, renters were responsive and addressed any questions we had! We enjoy the outdoors so loved having the extra space.I would not recommend if you prefer a more city-like experience, but that is not a fault of the property itself, had a great time, and plenty of local shops, grocery and other nearby.
The property was so perfect for our weekend stay. The house sits on sprawling, beautiful, quiet grounds that were perfect for our kiddos and pup to run around. The kids loved the swing set and ping pong table. Adults were comfy around the fire pit in the adirondack chairs. If the weather hadn’t been so rainy, I don’t think we would have spent anytime inside. Luckily, inside is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed to cook a great lunch and enjoy time with family we don’t get to see as often as we’d like. The decor of the home is the perfect blend of traditional/homey and mid century modern. Although the stairs are steep, the owners had baby/dog gates pre-installed for easy set up throughout the home, which is great for little ones. Natasha was very quick to respond to any questions and eager to ensure that we had everything we needed. Thank you for making our booking process so easy and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

Didn't Sleep at Property
The property was not clean. Dust, mildew, spider webs precipitated asthma attack in husband and daughter. The property manager was responsive and sent maintenance to check for mold. None was found but it was the combination of the dust, mildew in bathrooms, and spider webs in the kitchen that likely triggered the respiratory issues. There was also live and dead roaches in the bedrooms, that the property manager said was part of the "wildlife" experience advertised in the listing. For my families' safety, we rented a hotel for the entire stay and did not sleep or stay at the property. Of course, we lost the entire fee for the 3-night rental. AND, we had to pay for hotels for the entire family. The grounds were beautiful but it was the most expensive holiday vacation our family ever had.
