Loved this home! It was very comfortable and AC worked great. Fully equipped kitchen, full size washer/dryer, and a wonderful screeened in porch and quick access to lake.
Was a cozy and relaxing (screen-free) fall break! House was charming and the perfect location to all the fun things to do in the area. Will definitely be back!
We celebrated an early Christmas with friends. Beds and couches were very comfortable. Nice big refrigerator/freezer. Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. We all enjoyed the stay and would come again.
Nice home for a short getaway, just wished there was a table inside the house to eat at. It was too hot to eat outside with the toddler. Overall, a nice place.
Host communication was great. The property was extremely clean. Definitely not a place for small children around the outside of the property, but fantastic screened-in porch that would be safe. We took our dogs, and they loved the porch. They also loved their morning walks around the property, which was also great exercise for us!
Loved the deck overlooking the lake. It was a steep walk down to the lake, and if you have breathing problems or out of shape it 's even harder walking back up the hill from the lake. Had a nice fire in the evening. Very nice house. The hot tub was around the house under the deck. No privacy, it's facing the road and neighborhood.we brought are little dog. She loved it.
Had a great time. The boys loved the dock for fishing. The paddle boat was missing , so used the canoe which is a little nerving with two energetic young boys, but we managed to keep it upright. The hot tub was nice but a little hard to access. Make sure the steps leading to the trash containers are pushed up next to the concrete, they are a little unstable if you step on the outside of the step. Hope to visit again.
This was our first time using VRBO to rent a vacation home. Their lakefront house was easy to find and lose to town, the Chickasaw Recreation Area, hiking trails, and spring fed watering pools. The house was clean and the kitchen was nicely equipped. My had to be the screened in back porch - great sipping your morning coffee or curling up with a good book.
It was a quick walk down the steps to the Lake dock for some swimming or boating. This house with perfect for a couple with kids. The second hastwo bun beds.

Cabin stay
Overall, the property was beautiful, and the owners were very nice. The only negative feedback I have is that we were unable to use the hot tub. And that’s the only reason I rented this specific cabin, and they also don’t tell you that the hot tub is all the way down the stairs around the back. It’s very difficult to get to. I told him that the hot tub wasn’t working. They did come out and try to fix it. But we were never able to use it in the four days we were there. I figured that. Maybe we would get a little compensation or maybe a credit for the next time we went out because we were really wanting to rent it again during the summer, but we were not given anything.
Appalling Experience at Hill House – Avoid at All Costs
My stay at Hill House was a complete disaster. When I arrived, there were no instructions provided for the internet password, how to operate the fireplace damper, or even the check-out process; the house was dirty, cabinets and appliances were grimy, food left in the toaster, and dirt and debris inside the cabinets. There were numerous maintenance issues: the closer on the front storm door was broken, the patio storm door had screws falling out and would not close all the way, and would not lock, the toilet was broken and making a loud noise which forced me to request a repair. Communication with management was nearly impossible since they were out of the country, resulting in delays and untimely responses. I was forced to use the VRBO app to read or send messages. I made repeated requests to call or send texts due to spotty internet which constantly was dropped, making it extremely difficult to read messages and respond thru the app. We could not watch movies because the picture was blurry and the connection would drop or begin buffering. Furthermore, the hot tub never got hotter than 82 degrees. The description of property left out that in order to get to the hot tub, you had to go outside and around to the back of the house making it a safety hazard, especially at night. Overall, this stay was marred by poor maintenance, inadequate communication, and blatant disregard for guest comfort and safety. I would not recommend staying here!!

This was one of the worst experiences we experienced with guests since we started the vacation home property management more than 10 years ago. There were communication issues in the entire area resulting from a severe storm. Internet and power were down for quite some time. As requested by VRBO we generally communicate through their platform to be able to backtrack what developed. It is not true that it was impossible to communicate with us I have called several times and communicated the important issues through messages with VRBO as well as the plumber and handyman. The toilet could have been repaired within hours, however, the guests did not open the door when a plumber was sent, so that needed to postponed to the next day. The closer to the storm door also was scheduled to be fixed at that time, but also had to wait until the next day. The hot tub water was changed the day before the guests' arrival, new chemicals added and therefore could not have been smelling or dirty. possibly was not quite at the right temperature yet the afternoon when the guests arrived. None of the cleanliness issues were reported until the day before or even the day of the the guests' departure. This can be confirmed with vRBO messages. This in my opinion is something that should have been noticed and reported soon after arrival. These are blatant untruths and I would seriously consider not renting to these guests if I don't want to have to defend my reputation. Look at our other review
Beautiful location. Lovely screened in porch. Spent great time there. Kitchen range/stove & faucet were very good. Wished there had been paper towels and bathroom toiletries. Water was an overflow to lake and couldn’t access the big lake. Didn’t know that til we received the address. Wanted to use canoe but no paddles. Swim platform was very cool though. Hot tub was also top notch, wish the weather was colder. Will come back.
Was very clean and private had an enjoyable stay .
Overall it was great.. kids had a great time as well as the adults. Private lake was nice .. but you were also within 10 minutes of many lakes.

Why they chose this property
This is country poor with hills (called Arbuckle Mount ains) and smaller lakes in the surrounding area. There is a water fall as well as a variety of parks for our enjoyment. Nothing very crowded yet which is what I prefer. People are friendly and helpful in this area. All life's necessities are available here but we do not step on each other's feet yet. It never gets that crowded.
What makes this property unique
This property sits on top of a hill and has access to a lake with a fishing dock and canoe.
