About this property

Cheerful 2-bedroom Northeast Albuquerque home

“Tumbleweed” is a family and pet friendly home that makes New Mexico culture, nature and geography come to life. This newly remodeled home in highly sought after Sandia Heights sits at the foot of Sandia Mountain overlooking the city of Albuquerque. Picture windows offer views of the Mountain and the glorious Tuscany-like colors of this unique area. The front door opens to a quiet neighborhood and dedicated walking and biking trails, the Sandia Peak Tramway, a large system of hiking trails, and a unique local coffee shop. Two patios, one off the master bedroom with chaise lounge and another off the living room which includes a grill and a wood pile for use in the fireplace. Comfortable intimacy is courtesy of the regional décor, large dining table, room darkening and noise dampening curtains, books, games and wood-burning fireplace. Appliances including washer and dryer are new. There is a shared garage for one vehicle.

This property is replete with literature to guide you to the amazing sites this area offers. The host can arrange personalized, guided dark sky, photography, astronomy, and nature outings. Less than 10 minutes by car is the Pueblo of Sandia with spa, casino, golf and BUFFALO! An easy drive in October takes you to the famous Balloon Fiesta or view balloons from the patio. There are numerous national parks within driving distance as well as sites honoring early man and native peoples. Albuquerque’s Old Town is rich with history, festivals and shopping. The famous Route 66 runs through with signs and architecture reminiscent of the early days of cross-country travel remain. Check just a few of these helpful guides:

Gem of a House
Wonderful small house with comfortable beds, kitchen with updated appliances, and lovely bathrooms. We stayed for 3 weeks while visiting family in the neighborhood. House was well stocked, and hosts couldn't have been better! When I contacted them about something missing, they responded immediately and brought over what I needed right away. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Home with Awesome Views
Very comfortable home with plenty of space. We had family over for a birthday lunch and everyone loved the home and commented on how beautiful it was. The hosts were very responsive. Would definitely book again.

Great stay right under the Sandia Tramway!
This house was a spotlessly clean and very comfortable launching pad for exploring the Albuquerque area. Checkin was seamless with the electronic keypad, and everything inside was great for making dinners and lounging. It's located in a cute little cul-de-sac, and just minutes from the Sandia Tramway. Very convenient to the supermarkets, restaurants, etc on Paseo del Norte and Tramway Blvd (although downtown and Old Town obviously a little further away -- car required, about 20-25 mins). Great view of Sandia Peak from the front, and plenty of amenities, games, etc provided inside. We were very happy with our stay!
