Quiet and private chalet overlooking a tranquil pond and surrounded by lots of beautiful trees with no neighbors in sight. Go fishing, swimming, or boating on one of the 20 lakes in 20 minutes all located in Harrison. You can kayak, tube, or raft down the Muskegon River. The chalet is located near Duggan's Canoe Livery, Leota Trailhead, Wilson State Park, Rocks and Valley Off-Road Park, endless acres of state land, multiple golf courses, Rooftop Landing Reindeer Farm, and Snowsnake Ski & Golf. Sleeps 8 and pet friendly! There's a king bed in the primary bedroom on the main floor and a full bed with a single futon in the other main floor bedroom. A third bedroom with a full bed is located upstairs as well as a loft with a single futon and a queen air mattress. Both full bathrooms are located on the main floor as well as a washer and dryer. All 3 bedrooms have smart tvs, dressers, and closets. Also, the home has excellent Wi-fi for travelers who work remotely. It's a great getaway for multiple couples, families, or a group of friends. Spacious great room and a separate loft to hangout, play games, or watch tv. Located within 5 minutes from town, 20 minutes south of Houghton Lake and 15 minutes north of Clare. Take a day trip to Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Mackinac Island, or Sleeping Bear Dunes without paying for premium accommodations.

Gather used towels
Take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Don't worry about the bedding. We will take care of it. Leave the bedding unmade.
Make sure all the windows and doors are locked, too. Please empty all the trash cans and put the trash in the bin outside. Trash pick up is on Monday morning.
Leave the dirty towels and throw blankets in the hamper in the laundry room.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
If you bring a pet without paying the fee or you bring more than 2 pets, a $100 fine will be added in addition to the pet fees.
No smoking of any kind in the home or within 5 feet of home. A $100 fine will be enforced. Do not go into the garage or attic.
All visitors must be listed. Only the guest listed on the reservation is allowed to make a reservation and must be present during the entire booking.

We had the best time calling this spot home for a few days while we explored Harrison and the Leota Trails! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well appointed, and there was ample space for family games and relaxation! Mary was super helpful with the easiest check in and check out process. We will definitely be back!

Perfect home away from home!

This house was perfect for us and our dog. They’ve thought of everything lots of extras provided. Coffee, laundry soap, spices for cooking. Very easy, check-in process we really loved our stay and will definitely be back and recommend to others.

Love this place and will definitely be back again. Not a high traffic area so that made it better. Huge firepit with plenty of room for chairs. Tvs in all rooms. Cameras outside for that extra security. (Some may not like that but we loved knowing they were there) Grocery stores nearby as well as good pizza places. Wilson state park for swimming. If you have toddlers bring plenty to do as there is good space outside for some fun. Saw plenty of deer, chipmunks and turkeys! All in all a wonderful stay with a very responsive host.

I'm a native Michigander who loves traveling. I want to offer my guests the "Up North" experience. Go riding on the trails, fish for pike, bluegill, bass or sunfish, sit by the fire under the vast dark sky, or go hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling, and skiing just minutes away.

Why they chose this property

Harrison is perfectly located between Clare and Houghton Lake off US127. It has 20 lakes in 20 minutes which is great for boating, skiing, tubing, fishing, kayaking, nature watching, and swimming. There are so many outdoor activities to enjoy. There's an apple orchard and cidery, hiking trails, state land for hunting, Leota Trailheads for snowmobiles or ORVs, off-road park for Jeeps and such, a ski resort, 3 golf courses, and 20 lakes in 20 minutes. Although you feel like your miles from anywhere, town is only 5 minutes away. So, your close to grocery stores, a meat market, gas stations, family restaurants, fast food restautants, pharmacy, and shops. You get that "Up North" feel you don't get from larger cities nearby.

What makes this property unique

The chalet was built in the 90s and renovated a few years ago. It is about 1650 sq ft and has newer carpet, hardwood floors, and porcelain tiles. It's roomy and has two separate living areas, a vaulted ceiling in greatroom, large floor to ceiling windows, 2 full bathrooms, a huge wrap around deck, and great views. The driveway can accommodate many cars with trailers. So bring your toys. There is plenty of seating outdoors and the yard is equipped with a charcoal grill, firepit, and horseshoes. The home has all the modern amenities, including forced air heat and air condirioning, fast Wi-fi, 5 smart tvs, Spectrum cable, wireless entry, and exterior security cameras. The property is situated off the road and is surrounded by tall pine trees and is overlooking a huge pond. You truly feel like your nestled deep into the woods, but you're only 2 minutes from N Clare Avenue (Business US 127). Also, there are no neighbors in plain sight. It feels remote and quiet.
