Getaway Cabin

The Getaway Cabin - Sleeps 7 * (STRICTLY ENFORCED) This comfortable well laid out cabin has 3 beds/2 baths, with plenty of separate sleeping areas. Walk into the cozy downstairs living room with electric FP & Wifi. Then move into the Chef's kitchen with everything you need to create a fantastic meal. Fully stocked with newer Whirlpool Appliances, DW, microwave, Single Serve Keurig Coffee Maker (BYOC Coffee), crockpot, blender, and a variety of cookware.* Per Whatcom County Health Regulations, we are not allowed to provide any condiments, etc.; not even S & P, so please bring your own. Seating for 6 at the new rustic kitchen dining room table. Downstairs bedroom has a Queen size bed. Common 3/4 Bath downstairs with glass shower and full size W/D. Upstairs boasts the light and bright great room with large Flat Screen TV/ DVD Player, 2 large leather sofas to relax on, step out to the upper deck, with large table that seats up to 6. One upstairs bedroom has a full size bed, and the 2nd bedroom features a bunk bed twin over full size. Full bright bathroom with Tub/Shower. Large Hot Tub, fire pit (FIREWOOD NOT SUPPLIED), BBQ and kids play area. Short walk to the Nooksack River. Enjoy biking, walking your dog or just RELAX!

Solid rental and good overall, could use a little polish

Overall, the cabin is in good condition, things were generally clean with a few exceptions: a few rooms had a lot of spider friends congregating in corners and around baseboards. The outdoor furniture and 2nd floor deck have not been cleaned or wiped down in some time, I had to clean off seats I wanted to sit on. The hot tub was sparkling clean inside and kept temp nicely. No overwhelming chlorine or hot tub funk at all. If you hop in at night, you can see the stars overhead. The hot tub is fully visible from the street, and partially visible to a few neighboring cabins. I wasn’t bothered by it and still enjoyed it. The kitchen is on the first floor and is well-appointed and had pretty much any tool or pot we needed. They didn’t have aluminum foil or plastic wrap, which isn’t expected, but is a good reminder to bring your own. The propane grill is just outside the kitchen and is a newer model and works great. The living room is on the second floor, which feels a little weird being separated from the kitchen, but you get used to it. The space is very comfortable. The first floor bed is very comfortable and pillows are fantastic. My only gripe of this bedroom is there isn’t really any space or storage for your bags/clothes. There’s a closet, but it’s full of extra bedding and guest bathrobes. The second floor queen bedroom was also comfortable with a good bed and pillows. We did not use the bunk bed room. Our two dogs were very comfortable.

Great weekend getaway

Cozy spot, clean and comfortable, worked well for our family of 5. Hot tub is nice & hot which isn't always the case so that was a plus! We appreciated the ability to bring our pup and it's easy to go for a nice walk through the Mt Baker Rim development. Be aware that if you plan to ski on the day you check out you'll have to double back to Maple Falls first to drop off the key before you head for the mountain. Since we were on the fence about another ski day anyway, that was one reason we decided not to. Mysteriously, no tea kettle provided--in a spot where hot cocoa is almost an essential! hope the owners see this and add an electric kettle or at the very least a stovetop one.

Peaceful stay

The house is comfy and clean. Bedding was cozy. Kitchen was clean. Nice furniture. Outdoor deck furniture wasn't cleaned off/wiped down -- which would have been nice since that should be part of the cleaning fee. It is in a nice neighborhood in Glacier, WA. Which has a great restaurant (Gunners), decent coffee shop, and a store. Lots of hiking nearby, and the Nooksack river a couple blocks away. Which was a slight challenge for us as VRBO shows this on their map in Deming, WA (location was one of our deciding factors). It was about a 30 min drive from where we needed to stay for an event. Unfortunately, we didn't find this out until a few days before our arrival when it was too late to change. So spent a lot of time in the car driving to and from our event. One day I spent 2 hrs in the car as I had to go to event and back to cabin twice. At least it was a beautiful drive. But they should correct that on the listing. Check in/our was super easy. Communications were okay. I emailed the manager ~4-5 times with questions and never received a response. She was friendly and helpful once I reached her via phone. So if you need anything, call. Don't email. I would stay there again and/or recommend to others. If I wanted to stay in Glacier area.

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin was spotless and comfortable. It also had Wi-Fi available, which was a plus. The only thing I would suggest for travelers is to bring your K-cups for coffee, spices, and cooking supplies, such as plastic baggies and aluminum foil. There is a small market down the road, but they also had limited supplies. Overall, this was a pleasant stay.

Cozy and Perfect

We loved staying at the Getaway Cabin. House was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Spent some time upstairs in the family room playing all the games. Hung out in the hot tub as much as we could. Cabin is in a very nice community, with a foot path down to the river, feels like camping but with houses instead of tents or rvs. Hope to stay here again.

Wonderful Cabin

This cabin is awesome. Steph was excellent in communicating with me thru the whole process. The cabin is well stocked, has plenty of beds. Nice outdoor space Great appliances Overall excellent place close to the beautiful Mr Baker recreation area, waterfalls, rivers and trails

Keys were dropped off at the office in Glacier. No drop box. Keys & fob left under the office door mat. Nice place, but there is an ant infestation

Nice relaxing cabin

Fantastic cute place to relax and spend my birthday with a close friend. The cabin is in a neighborhood so the hot tub wasn't as private as I was hoping but it was great regardless. Late night hot tubbing is the best. Nice place outcast in Mt Baker to enjoy a qiuet rustic experience

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect backdrop for our stay in the Mount Baker area while still being close enough to Bellingham. The hot tub is also a plus. Would definitely recommend!

Great Getaway

This place was exactly what I was looking for! Very clean, quiet area despite being close to July 4, and good wifi. Not many food options other than a nearby pizza place, but the kitchen is great and had all the dishes/pans/utensils I needed to cook for myself. No AC, but the downstairs stayed cool throughout and the ceiling fans and windows made the upstairs pretty easy to keep cool. This is a great place!

Great Visit

We had a great stay in late October. The cabin was perfect for our party (4 adults and 1 small dog) and location was great for exploring near by hiking trails, a longer trek at Mt. Baker, and a lovely day trip to Bellingham. The property manager made everything super easy as well and we really enjoyed walking through the quaint little community the property is located in. Great place!

Family gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Getaway was well equipped and in an excellent location to access hiking. We spent time on the deck and in the hot tub and out walking the neighborhood.

What a fun spot!

We had so much fun celebrating our 1-year anniversary at this home. It was close to many amazing hikes, lakes and mountain tops. The grill was awesome and the kitchen had everything we needed. Even without any AC and temps in the mid-90s, the fans and shaded lot were enough to keep it cool all day. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet peaceful getaway. The hot tub was a nice bonus!
