The property is nice and it’s located in a very quiet neighborhood and close to everything. The property is stocked with all the essentials. Property could use a cleaning and some fresh paint. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
We had an early family gathering for the holidays. Several members were able to come in from several states and enjoy some home cooked meals. Victoria was very helpful with any questions. It was a very nice stay and great location.
Very nice property. Excellent neighborhood and close to everything. Property could use a cleaning and some fresh paint. other than that we enjoyed ourselves.
A huge thanks to Victoria for being a fantastic host! She was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The house was clean and nicely appointed with all the comforts of home. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and back patio, and the home's close proximity to shopping and downtown. Will definitely stay here again for future visits to Raleigh.
This rental was perfect for me and my two teenage kids visiting their grandparents. The kitchen was VERY well stocked, I wish we could have taken more advantage of it — next time! I loved the screened in porch. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We had an issue with the A/C on our first day and the owner took care of it right away. The neighborhood was very quiet.
The house was exactly what we expected. Nice size kitchen with all the things we needed for cooking. Large fridge, table had built in leaf to allow six of us to sit comfortably. Living room was good size with comfortable wrap around couch. Bedrooms were sufficient size, beds comfortable, plenty of places to charge devices. Tvs were easy to set up for streaming. Front screened in porch was nice to sit on in the evening. Only issue we had was the hallway leading to bathroom was very narrow and my elderly father had issues getting through with his walker. House could have been cleaner, my feet were black after the first day inside, I washed all the floors using the mop included the second day which was helpful. The wall vents and ledges around the doors were extremely dusty. House needs a good all around cleaning. We didn't use back yard, there was a tiny charcoal grill, would have been nice if they had a more convenient gas grill. Overall property was great, location was perfect and there were no issues we couldn't deal with on our own.
Great rental super close to Duke Raleigh Hospital and North Hills
My sister was having surgery at Duke Raleigh Hospital right before Christmas and we wanted to be close by. This little gem was a 10 min walk to the hospital (3 min drive) which made life a lot easier running back and forth. The house was a perfect layout with 3 bedrooms, giving everyone a little space, and all the beds were super comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of different kitchen appliances, pots and pans. We were even able to make Xmas cookies while my sister was recovering which made the stay a little more enjoyable. Victoria was super responsive to emails and had a lot of little extra amenities throughout the house which just made things very easy - eg snacks and a bottle of wine in the frig, various spices and basic baking/cooking needs, bathroom items that you may have forgotten, laundry detergent, etc. Overall, very comfortable VRBO and great location near North Hills and other shopping/dining options.
We had a great stay over the weekend! House was overall clean, lots of kitchen gadgets and supplies. The homeowner reached out to make sure our check-in process went well and we really appreciated that. We actually mis-read the check-in time and got there a few hours early but the property was clean and ready to go so we were very grateful for that as well! Neighborhood was conveniently located right off 440 and made traveling around Raleigh for the soccer tournaments we were in town for, easy.
A few things to point out, but nothing that can't be easily addressed..
- House really smelled of mildew when we entered. We ended up running the oil diffuser all weekend to mask the smell but a de-humidifier would work wonders.
- King size mattress desperately needs to be replaced. We could not utilize the bed because the mattress is severely worn out it's created a crater for someone to sleep in.
- Comforter in first guest room has really bad stain on it that does not look very inviting
- Toilet paper holder in bathroom is about to fall off the wall.
FYI:
- Neighbors across the street were partying pretty hard on Saturday night until almost 1AM. My family sleeps with fans/noise making machines so really was not an issue for us, but might be an issue for future renters who are light sleepers.
My family and I had the most wonderful time in Raleigh thanks to Victoria and her lovely home. She helped with any request that we had and made sure that we were comfortable from the minute we walked in the door. She went above and beyond with little extras that really made us feel at home.
Thank you so much for a great week!!
