We loved our stay in Bethel. The house is great — well laid out for a family of 4, and we loved the fenced yard. The kitchen is well equipped. We also loved being so close to town - it was easy to shoot out to the bakery in the morning for treats, and close to Sunday River. The owner was very responsive.
The Cozy Cottage was perfect for our annual fall getaway. Location was perfect and private. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet getaway. Our host Suz was awesome. Her communication was prompt and accurate. We will be back for two weeks summer of 2026 and hope to stay at the Cozy Cottage
The property is just a short drive or bike ride to the village of Bethel Maine. We loved the proximity to endless hiking trails and wonderful roads to bike on. The town has great restaurants and a bakery. The kitchen had everything we needed for our monthlong stay and was very functional with a stove that has a center grill. The beds were comfortable, and we liked the rainfall showerhead.
Chimney clogged and tried to charge me for the cleaning—will report this listing for violating health safety standards and have removed as to not endanger future guests.

This review is false and retaliatory. This guest SEVERELY violated house rules, left the home in horrible and unsafe and unsanitary condition, and caused extensive documented damage requiring professional remediation, replacement of furniture and other items, and a POLICE report. During this same period, the guest received multiple additional 1-star reviews from other hosts for similar behavior. Beware of this guest!
Perfect place to stay near Bethel. Beautiful interior and a great yard to hang out in as well. Plenty of places to sleep. Very close to town for a bite if you don’t want to cook. Would definitely return.
The place is amazing The host Suz Is terrific Love being close to Town as well as all the beautiful sites around We look forward to getting back up there as soon as we can if you’re looking for a great place to stay you definitely have found the place and my dog Farley absolutely loved having a closed yard to play and safely sincerely, Dan, Irene, and Farley
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was as described. Very cozy, had everything we needed .. the kitchen is a pleasure to prep food in & the beds were all incredibly comfortable. I hope to stay here again in the future. Thanks again for a pleasurable week!
Disregarding price gouging and false claims, what is downright criminal and shockingly dangerous is the unclean, unsafe fire that pumped back carbon monoxide throughout the cottage due to not up to code safety standards. Reported. They will either fix this issue or be removed to spare future guests from my experience.

This guest has several 1 star reviews from many other hosts. He causes immense damage to properties, breaks house rules, and leaves retaliatory reviews after they report him
We had plenty of room as a family of four. The stove has a center skillet which was great for making pancakes or toasting tortillas. The house is less than 15 minutes from Sunday River which made it easy to get to the mountain in the morning. This was a great place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. Close to Bethel and Sunday River skiing. The house was very comfortable. Good heat, hot water. Well stocked kirchen and bathroom.Fenced yard for our dogs was great. We had snow when we were there and the plow came and took care of it.. We were very happy with everything!
We enjoyed the cottage as it had everything we needed to prepare meals including pots and pans, spices, a lovely kitchen, towels and linens, shampoo and body wash in the shower.
We loved the open concept and close proximity to downtown Bethel. The fenced-in yard was so convenient for the dogs.
Hosts Adam and Suz were great, responsive and helpful. We would stay again!
This was a great place to stay, close to downtown Bethel, for our family with 2 toddlers and a dog. Yard was completely fenced in, and there were some toys and a high chair provided that really helped too. Kitchen had all the pots and pans and spices etc that we needed. Beds were comfy. Thanks for letting us stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this Bethel, ME cottage. Highlights - clean, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable king sized bed, large TV, fireplace and fenced in yard. Only a 15 minute drive to Sunday River. Close to many restaurants in Bethel. I had a question about snow removal and owner responded right away on a Saturday night. We hope to return!
One of the best ones we’ve stayed at and we’ve stayed in a lot. House is perfect. Has everything you need for just like at home I mean everything. Beds are really comfortable. Everything nice and clean. Washer and dryer to use as we were coming from another vacation it worked out perfect to be able to wash our stuff. great location and Bethel, and about 10 minute rides to Sunday river would love to stay again
This was a very comfortable location and bigger than I expected. Unfortunately the place hadn't been cleaned when I arrived at 4 pm on a Monday, but Suz was super responsive and got the cleaner there. I did have to leave again and drive around with my dog for a while while cleaners came, but the DID come and I was able to be back within 2 hours. That's why I put 4 on check in. I expect it won't happen again though. The upstairs loft was cool and I wished I had more folks to play games. Loved the gas fireplace and so did my dog- I put his bed there. I want to give 5 across the board, but the loud heating system kicking on and off next to the living room and no microwave detracted a bit for me. Coffee maker also a bit challenging - couldn't make a full pot - but maybe needed better filters.
Great place to stay. The views along the way breathtaking I’ll tell you! It rained while we was there but still a great stay regardless of not getting to use the cool ski chairs around the fire pit.
We stayed here for two nights with our labs and it was perfect for us! There’s a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room for fetch. It’s clear that the property has been newly renovated, and it was super cute and clean. The owners were also very responsive and easy to get in touch with.
This property is very close to downtown Bethel, and a short drive to Sunday River. We'll definitely be looking to book in the winter!
Critical care ICU nurse studying to be an NP. My partner and I love traveling and love hosting so that others can enjoy vacations and adventures just as much as us.
